A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!!!

Driving home, my eyes caught a beautiful field filled with light and flowers at the golden hour of around 7:30pm. I just had to pull over, get out, trudge through long grass, weeds and trees… jump a fence and proceed to get eaten alive by mosquitos….but the light was so beautiful! When I got home, I discovered that most of my photos were not in focus-not even an “Unsharp Mask” filter in Photoshop would help my images! Alas, always remember your shutter speed and lens focal length…in my excitement, I did not. I was lucky to get a few good shots for my trouble. Now I better go check myself for ticks!!! Have a good evening! Cheers!!

Think Spring! Photo, Sunflower Begins by Cheryl Elich-Krumpelt and poem

The Month Anew

A new season
whispering softly
in the tired ear
of old man winter,
“leave us.”
The words
drip through
cracks in the earth,
delivering a blanket
of inspiration
to the sleeping
waiting,
thrusting forth
new life
as it should be,
within a circle
of new beginnings
the sun casts it’s
warmth,
and it rains
gently.
