automata 02:54
the line is blowing out it's signalling that something's going on and though it's days from now it's my escape it's my escape the crowd is clearing out and vacant stares that can't keep holding on will start again will start again can you feel it? can you feel it? I can feel it taking over I can feel it again taking over sinking in blood on fresh snow creeping in can you feel it? can you feel it? I can feel it taking over I can feel it again something’s hollowed out I felt it then I feel it now built right into me like a machine that's built to bleed and now my hands are shaking I can't seem to keep on holding on we’ll start again we’ll start again again again again again

about

Can you feel it? Amidst uncertainty, paranoia and daydreams of apocalypses, London based grungegaze outfit labyrinthine oceans’ latest offering automata holds a mirror up to dystopia and technological omnipresence. Incorporating electronic texture into their signature walls of distortion and layered, cavernous reverbs, the band have landed on a nostalgic familiarity with an otherworldly twist that leaves you wanting more. Coming off the back of their debut studio EP ‘everyone was alive’ - which released earlier this year - automata feels confident and experimental while staying unashamedly theirs, pushing their sonic boundaries to new heights.

Pairing this with captivating vocals, which together create a strong visual presence for the band. ... more
