Getting the crypto community and those who never got a Covid vaccine on his side and suddenly RFK Jr. may have a budding coalition worth taking notice of. Let's not forget anyone who had severe side effects to an mRNA vaccine or their families if those side effects were fatal. RFK Jr. may not get a lot of corporate media exposure but on Twitter and podcasts - he'll be the man.

Chaos in Crypto
"Many Bitcoin miners are now turning their rigs off. Bitcoin's electrical cost has just been breeched for the 2nd time in only 5 years. The electrical bill for the average miner is now greater than the income earnt." - Charles Edwards
But the bigger story is the FXT saga (along with the Biance angle). If you don't know the players here count yourself lucky (although you may recall FXT's Super Bowl ad). And don't worry looks like Michael Lewis will be writing a book on FXT. He may have more of a thriller on his hands than he ever imagined,
Some are calling this Crypto's Black Friday (even though it was a Wednesday).

Fortune Favors the Broke?
Goofus and Gallant shared a Super Bowl Square at last year's Rams vs Bengals game and they won! Each got $1,000 in winnings. Goofus decided to spend half his winnings on cocaine and a hooker and use the other half to catch up on some bills. Gallant was very impressed with Matt Damon's Crypto.com commercial during the Super Bowl and decided to invest his $1,000 in Bitcoin.
Now due to this week's "crypto crash" Gallant has lost more than half the value of his investment. And he still has some outstanding bills to pay. Is this the rare example of when hookers and cocaine are the better use of one's money? Or is the real lesson here not to take financial advice from Hollywood actors?
Note - I still believe in crypto currency and block chain technology. The above situation just occurred to me and I wanted to share.

Quotes for Today
Some quotes I hope may resonate with you.
"The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that's required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust." - Satoshi Nakamoto
"Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them." - Marcus Aurelius
"Time magnifies the margin between success and failure. It will multiply whatever you feed it. Good habits make time your ally. Bad habits make time your enemy." - James Clear
"The emperor issued a decree and sent it to Athens ordering that no-one should teach philosophy nor interpret the laws." - John Malalas (529 AD)

Great Protocol Politics
The 21st century doesn't belong to China, the United States, or Silicon Valley. It belongs to the internet. Interesting article by Parag Khanna and Balaji Srinivasan.
They look at 10 ways in which the world is transitioning from an age of geopolitics to one of "techno-politics" - in specific crypto currencies and Web3.

Bitcoin and Crypto Bits
Couple of crypto related stories I thought I'd share.
- Why Governments hate crypto currency. Interesting look at the modern history of currency. Remember that FDR basically made it illegal for US citizens to own gold. The Biden Administration may try to do the same with crypto.
Of course the two articles are related. If places like Walmart spread the usage and acceptance of crypto - it will be harder for the government to openly ban it. Of course do not overlook the "middle of the night" approach which seems more and more probable.

Flotsam and Jetsam
Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
If the Democrats wanted to dump Joe Biden in favor of Kamala Harris but didn't want to get their hands dirty trying to suggest the 25th Amendment themselves - the easiest way would be to have Biden sign a bunch of un-Constitutional gun control Executive Orders and see the Republicans get outraged. Just saying... It would be funny if a number of Atlanta Braves players sued MLB and Rob Manfred for creating a hostile work environment. What could Rob Manfred possibly say in response? Cha-ching! Cash in boys!... Why is it the media and the "experts" always seem to be so wrong... Wonder if it's possible for a State like Texas or Florida to tax YouTube - say at $.01 per video view in the state - and then use those funds for a favorite cause like fighting homelessness or providing broadband to low income families. What would be to stop a tax like that? They delete videos that go against the grain of their political aims and the Republican Governors tax their asses. Seems fair... John Kerry has always been a frigging idiot...

Flotsam and Jetsam
Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
COVID-19 and the lockdowns couldn't get Bitcoin prices to spike but the potential for a Biden Presidency certainly has. Bitcoin record price levels almost daily... I'm disappointed that this is just satire. I sincerely believe that you should be able to throw darts at anyone who plays The Christmas Shoes on a bar's jukebox... December 1st was World AIDS Day. Were you aware of that? That's how far we've come in making the disease "livable." When's the last time you saw anyone wearing one of those AIDS red ribbons?... In the near future the word "distaff" will be replaced by the word "nodick" because people in the not-so-distant future will be morons... I'm going to try to mix in the phrase "it's like trying to take blood from a penguin" today in conversation. No idea what that even means but I do like the way it sounds... FACT: Donald Trump has not been defeated in the Octagon by any other President living or dead. You can't argue with facts!...

Flotsam and Jetsam
Tulsi Gabbard votes "Present" on Impeachment. Very wise move. She is the Democratic candidate to watch in my opinion. The question is whether the Democratic Party establishment would allow her to be the candidate. That's a serious concern... Has the cancel culture gone after Cher for her 1973 hit song Half-breed yet? That would be fun to watch... #TulsiCoward is trending on Twitter. Proof that she hit a nerve with her non-vote for Impeachment with the unhinged. That just makes her more attractive for us voters who are hinged... This is one of the reasons why investing in Bitcoin makes me nervous... Heh Heh - Kim Jung-Un the new Siskel & Ebert... Let's be honest - Greta Thunberg's greatest accomplishment was as the inspiration of hundreds of "How dare you!" memes... And I don't care where Tulsi is polling because the polls are crap. If you added Candidate McCandidateface to the polls that choice would immediately become the front-runner. Just saying... If James Comey goes to jail - what are the odds that the Obamas ask if he can be given Jeffrey Epstein's old cell?...
