Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Can't help but wonder how many Democrat Congressmen in Districts Trump carried in the 2016 election will end up changing parties in the next few months to protect their re-election efforts. All because of how off-putting the impeachment efforts have been to their constituents back home. I'd put the over/under at 4 Congressmen... We have reached an inversion point in our nation's relation to China so much so that it has become an election issue... I'm a male over 50 but if I get denied employment as a surrogate mother - under the new rules some are trying to force on society shouldn't I get to sue for discrimination?... I love the Queen song We Are the Champions as much as the next guy but was a bully kicking sand in someone's face ever really a thing? Really? I mean I remember those Charles Atlas ads as a kid but that stuff may have happened once if at all... In that Johnny Depp Dior Sauvage cologne commercial is Depp burying his jewelry to hide it from debt collectors? Is he crying over what happened to his career? Inquiring minds want to know!...

Sexiest Man Alive Royal Rumble

If there was a WWE type Royal Rumble held among the People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive winners from the past 18-years - who would win? Even though Blake Shelton is a rather large 6'5" and 212 pounds - do you really think anyone is beating 2016's Sexiest Man Alive Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? I mean nobody is taking that title belt from the Rock. It would be cool though to see 2003 Sexiest Man Johnny Depp get body slammed. And I wouldn't sleep on 2008's Hugh Jackman's athletic ability (though I think he's too nice to pull the heel moves needed to win).

Thanks to "Chuuch" for putting this thought in my head.

Top 5 - Movies Based in Massachusetts

1. JAWS
2. Good Will Hunting
3. The Departed
4. The Thomas Crown Affair (w/ Steve McQueen)
5. The Verdict

Just missing the cut were The Paper Chase, The Boondock Saints, The Perfect Storm, The Brinks Job and The Last Hurrah. I gave no consideration whatsoever to Love Story. It will be interesting to see if Black Mass (the Whitey Bulger biopic) makes the list.
