Marginalia

Marginalia is what Maria Popova calls her notes she writes in the margins of books. So it was natural for her to choose The Marginalian as the replacement name for Brain Pickings. She explains the reason for the name change in this 2021 essay.

Fully agree that we should not encourage more incompetence by rewarding badly written or spam emails. She is a voracious reader and has suggested authors Seneca, Alan Watts, Dani Shapiro, James Gleick, and Janna Levin. I've put a book from each on my reading wish list.

You may find me reposting some of her essays or reviews from time to time and I highly recommend her site.
