More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- We waste so much tax money. Shouldn't any waste DOGE eliminates come right out of the budget and national debt?

- Matt Stoller on Matt Gaetz as an anti-monopolist and anti-big business. Interesting reading.

- This is water by David Foster Wallace. Something that should be reviewed from time to time.

- Oprah tries to justify the $1 million fee paid by the Harris-Walz campaign. Yeah right.

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Programming vs Demon Summoning

- Michael Shellenberger also testified in Congress alongside Matt Taibbi. Michael deserves our thanks for his yeoman's work protecting our First Amendment rights.

- Rand Paul's criticism of Anthony Fauci was right all along. We owe Dr. Paul our thanks too.

- Sam Altman, OpenAI's CEO, invests $180 million on a life longevity startup. Billionaires in the past gave us universities and libraries. Today's billionaires want to give us longer and healthier lives (except Bill Gates - he wants us to eat bugs).

There're Coming for Fauci

Not just Elon Musk and Twitter going after Anthony Fauci.

Rand Paul will be going after him in the Senate, "Fauci's resignation should not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He must be required to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the Wuhan lab leak. His policies destroyed lives."

And in Congress a bi-partisan group of lawmakers are demanding answers about taxpayer funded torturing of dogs he approved. The man tortured puppies.

"Courage is in far shorter supply than genius." - Peter Thiel

"Set and enforce an aspirational personal hourly rate. If fixing a problem will save you less than your hourly rate, ignore it. If outsourcing a task will cost will cost less than your hourly rate, outsource it." - Naval Ravikant

- VDH: Orwell and the Woke

- Blue Origin Under Fire. Interesting but if Blue Origin was disregarding safety wouldn't they be launching rockets more frequently instead of moving at the snails pace (compared to SpaceX) that they've been operating under? (HT Meanderthal)

- Matt Taibbi: The News is America's New Religion, and We're in a Religious War. Very true!

- I'm ready to vote for Rand Paul for President right now (or at least support the idea of making him the Surgeon General right away!)
