Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Just got back from the lovely St John USVI all sunburnt and painkillered out (the rum drink). Lots of great snorkeling and good times but one travel tip - make sure you leave plenty of time when trying to get off the Islands from the airport in St Thomas. That airport has the biggest clusterfuck of a security line I may have ever seen... Heh Heh... Any time Governor Baker of Massachusetts gives a public speech for the rest of his life he should be heckled relentlessly. "Wear a mask!" "Cover your face!" Relentlessly!... Heh Heh... Anyone remember when "Keep your laws off my body" was a liberal rallying cry? Now it belongs to the libertarians and conservatives...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

There was a large bomb that was detonated in Nashville. The media has been lagging in reporting about it because they need to know the motivation of the bomber first before framing the story. That in a nutshell is the state of our media today... In Star Wars they are called Tie-Fighters but nobody in that universe seems to wear ties. Minor detail that bugs me... Wonder if you could get a Super Bowl bet on the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Field? And what would be the odds on the Field? I like the field... People who have to shovel the snow never dream of a White Christmas - just saying... Instant Entropy would be a good name for a demolition construction company... Part of me would like to see a version of I Will Survive sung by Donald Trump with Joe Biden as the feckless lover... The only people making a better return on investment this fall than people who invested in Bitcoin are bookies taking NFL action...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

I predict in 2020 at least one person will attempt to name their child "Baby Yoda"... Superstitious Pigeons would be a good name for a band... Good advice... When people ask me if I've seen Rise of Skywalker I respond, "No - how does it compare to the original Spy Kids?" just to confuse them... I have really taken this advice to heart... Would have loved to have a collection of Tommy Makem & the Clancy Brothers doing covers of Beatles songs. Especially Norwegian Wood... "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." - African proverb... Happy New Year!...
