My husband is amazing!

I know most of you already know that Dave is amazing, so this is for those who don't already know. Dave has been remodeling our bathroom for the last couple months on the weekends and it is finally done (if you count not having a shower door done). I only have one before picture and it was before we had even moved in. To tell you how bad it was it had carpet in it. Yep, carpet! I think one of the most disgusting things that can be had in a bathroom in carpet. Where does the water go ? The next ugliest thing in the bathroom would have to have been the gold, gold and more gold. You get the point the bathroom was pretty bad. I thought it could use a little work but Dave had something else in mind, as he always does. Does this surprise any of you, when Dave does something he does it big. The shower all had to be ripped out and the framing began. He told me he was going to tile the floor then it was the shower and around the bath that sounded nice, he even added a beautiful arch for me of course. Next he told me he was replacing the shower head and faucets and adding a shower head, fan and new light fixtures, this all sounded like a lot of work, but Dave likes work so I didn't worry. Then it was the sinks need to go, then we needed a a cool border in our tile. Then he said it would be really easy just to put granite over the existing counter top. Next the mirror would look better with molding around it so did the windows and door apparently, and of course new base board to match. Did I mention the toilet that came somewhere in between, a cool fancy one that you can take the whole seat off to clean with a slow closing lid and super flush. There was also a little line around the room were the toilet was, it looked like maybe there was once a border under there and it just got painted over. A chair rail would look nice to cover that up, but it was a little plain so he thought some cool looking boxes would look nice to spruce up the toilet room. A couple months and coats of paint later and we have one good looking master bath. This is how most of the projects go at our house.

Our only before picture:

I couldn't end this post with out thanking my wonderful brother-in-law Scott (plumber) and my dad(electrician) who willingly spent their time helping with our bathroom. Thanks for everything!

Winter Fun

Well I thought I was being smart with my post this time. I put in all of the pictures in first so I wouldn't have to drag them all down below my text but then I uploaded them backward so they go in the wrong order. Oh well maybe next time. Anyway we had a wonderful Christmas break and lots of fun in the snow.

Taylin had some friends over yesterday and they all played dress-ups it was really fun for them.

Jax and Tay playing with there new paint markers they got in their stocking with their cousins.
Taylin and my brother Jim. It was really nice to finally meet his wife Cyndi, she is a really great person.
Her new hula clothes from Hawaii

Our nice neighbor hauling the kids all over the neighborhood on the sled. Taylin finally got cold and got to ride on the four wheeler with Jarod for a while.

My Uncle Ralph took me and my sister in law Teressa snowshoeing, it was so much I have wanted to spend every Saturday doing it. I have to take a break for a couple of weeks to coach our young women basketball team. :( Not that basketball isn't fun I just love the fresh air and powder.
Here is a picture of my little Moxy that we saved for those of you who are regular blog followers. She is getting really big and look at those beautiful eyes. I had to take her and the momma cat to get fixed this week. It wasn't fun for anyone but it needed to be done. Fast fact: Did you know that every day in Utah more than 16 healthy unwanted pets are euthanized every day. So please spay and neuter your pets.
