The Designated Veterinarian is a veterinarian with expertise in laboratory animal medicine and is responsible for providing advice on animal well-being and treatment to those breeding or supplying animals for or using animals in research. This module is an introduction to the role of the Designated Veterinarian and provides insight into the knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in this role.
