My log-in attempts are 'successful', but I'm being told my password's wrong
I'm logged in to my outlook account on one laptop, and my phone. I'm trying to reset various devices to factory settings (to improve their lifespan) and recently did so on my secondary work laptop.
Whenever I try to log in on that laptop, I get the message 'you've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password'. The password I'm using is the same one saved on my other laptop, I've double-checked spelling etc, and I can't see any reason it would show as wrong. Additionally, when checking my sign-in activity (I thought it might be a 'hackers are spamming my account trying to sign in, so it's wary of any logins'), the only activity I have are the times I've tried to sign in - and it says those were successful.
I've tried a few days apart to give it cool-off time, but I still can't login. I'm wary of changing my password via my other devices, if I just get this result on those too and get basically locked out of my account. Can anyone help?
