My PC will not start running but the PSU is on and running with the mouse on but the keyboard if not on. I tried many ways like unplugged it from the main supply but the problem would still persists. It happened after I installed some apps on the device and was running fine but after I restart the computer it will not start booting up while the PSU is running and the monitor is blank.

If your PC is not booting up while the PSU is running, and the mouse is powered but the keyboard is not, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Power Connections: Ensure that all power connections to the motherboard and components are secure. Sometimes, a loose connection can prevent the system from booting.
    2. Disconnect Peripherals: Remove all peripherals except for the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. This includes USB devices, printers, and external drives. Sometimes, a faulty peripheral can cause boot issues.
    3. Inspect Hardware: Open the case and check for any visible signs of hardware failure. Look for burnt components, loose cables, or improperly seated RAM and expansion cards.
    4. Reset BIOS/UEFI: If you can access the BIOS/UEFI, try resetting it to default settings. This can sometimes resolve boot issues caused by incorrect settings.
    5. Check for Beep Codes: If your motherboard has a speaker, listen for beep codes when you try to boot. These codes can indicate specific hardware issues.
    6. Boot in Safe Mode: If possible, try booting into Safe Mode. This can help you determine if the issue is related to recently installed software or drivers.
    7. Test the Power Supply: If you suspect the power supply might be faulty, you can test it with a PSU tester or try using a different power supply if available.
    8. Look for Hardware Conflicts: If the issue started after installing new applications, consider whether any new hardware was added. Remove or disconnect any new hardware to see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, you may need to seek professional help or consider hardware replacement.

    Hi ,

What could be a hardware issue.

Did you make a direct change just because the PSU is connected and the PC isn't showing anything? Could the problem be the memory, processor, or motherboard?

When you start up, does the logo appear and can you access the BIOS?

    Your desktop configuration?

    Thanks
