Remove phone number from old Developer Account.

In a previous job I had signed up for the Developer Program using my work email and my mobile would have been linked at this point.

I am no longer able to access this email with it being locked due to no longer working for the company but the number is still associated with the Developer Program, how can I have this removed so i can use this current email to sign up for the Developer Program?

I have tried contacting support via the contact section and then choosing the Microsoft 365 product and then choosing both Personal and Business on both occasions they were unable to help me and pointed me to this section https://devblogs.microsoft.com/premier-developer/contact-us/

But I cannot find a way to contact anyone from this link.

Thanks.

To remove your phone number from an old Developer Account, you will need to delete your existing Developer Program account first. Since you mentioned that you cannot access your work email, you may need to follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to your Developer Program dashboard using the email account that is currently associated with the Developer Program.
    2. Once signed in, navigate to the option to Delete Profile. This will remove your account along with the associated phone number.
    3. After deleting your account, you can then sign up again using your work email without the old phone number being linked.

Please note that if you delete your Developer Program account, you can only get a new subscription after you have had your existing subscription for more than 60 days.

If you are unable to sign in to your Developer Program dashboard due to the locked email, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance. Unfortunately, if the standard support channels have not been helpful, it may be challenging to resolve this issue without access to the original email account.
