Hi Bram,
Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying those Bluetooth problems are on your PC and laptop, especially with your JBL earbuds cutting out or not making sound. Let’s sort this together.
Based on my knowledge, mostly with Intel Bluetooth adapters like the AX201 and BE200, usually after the latest Windows 11 updates.
Randomly disconnecting, Connected but no sound
Bluetooth icon vanishes, can’t find devices or pair them correctly
Usually, it’s a mix of flaky drivers, power settings, and conflicts with Windows 11 updates. Even if your drivers look current, they might not play well with the newest OS.
Steps to try. Turn off Bluetooth power saving.
Head to Device Manager > Bluetooth > Intel Adapter > Properties > Power Management tab.
Untick Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
Do the same for your USB Root Hub under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Tweak sound settings, Right-click the speaker icon > Sounds > Playback tab.
Pick your JBL earbuds > Properties > Advanced. Set the format to 16-bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality) or higher. Restart the Bluetooth connection. Remove the Bluetooth adapter from Device Manager. Restart your PC/laptop and let Windows reinstall it on its own.
Try re-pairing after resetting the earbuds. For JBL earbuds, pop them in the case and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Forget them from all your devices before trying to pair them with your PC.
May I also ask, “Did this start happening after a specific Windows update, or only with stuff like the earbuds? Oh, and are you using the latest Intel Bluetooth drivers from the website?
I hope this answer is helpful, if you have any questions, feel free to reply.
Best Regards,
Noel
