That the Works of God Might Be Displayed

“…but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” John 9:3b

“This happened”…
This man was born blind
This man lived his WHOLE life blind
This man missed out on seeing his childhood
Missed seeing… the birds, the grass, the ocean, the brilliant colors of a sunset, seeing beauty, seeing his parents…
He missed seeing EVERYTHING!
This man missed out on being valued, being a worker, being productive, being independent… perhaps even having a family of his own…

A. Quote – to be remembered

Hi WordPress Friends,
I’m just stopping by because I have a quote to share but first I’ll catch you up on me…
My road has been bumpy lately…
but I have Hope.
Life is totally different these days; you couldn’t begin to understand…
but I have Hope.
Every day is filled with interesting twists and turns that are too deep to share…
but I have Hope.
I am amazed and frustrated; elated and ditch-diving all at once…
but through it all, I have Hope.
Even when darkness tries to overcome…
Yes, I still have Hope.
Jesus is my Hope.

QUOTE:
A new friend of mine sent me this note a few weeks ago.
It is so encouraging and grounding to me — exactly what I need to be reminded of daily.
Maybe You need to be reminded too?

Trust verses Risk

Hi WordPress World,
Seems that once a month or so I gravitate back here to make a note about something so HI! … and thank you for not disappearing on me in my absence.

This week I received an email talking about Trust verses Risk.
It struck a deep cord within me as I read the words that unfolded on the page.

Counter Attack

It’s been another minute since I’ve written here.
Hi.

Really, when life is hectic or busy and I’m just exhausted from all the tumbling, I just don’t have the energy to express the journey and treasures that I have accumulated in the battles.
When I pray, journal, and press into inner healing God gives me deep insights – they are hard but life giving… so eventually, if He desires, more of them will find their way onto this screen.
Until then, here is a little something something that has been helping lately.

Who am I – Glimpses of Identity

“I have created you to create Sons and Daughters out of slaves… but you cannot do that if you are still under the spirit of slavery.”

Identity is important. (I’m going to ramble for a moment but it will end up ok, I promise)

He Pursues Presence

I have a small MP3 player in my bathroom.
It plays The Word 24/7.
In the spirit realm The Word saturates my home daily.
(you should try it – it really does work to change the atmosphere)

So, every time I go in there I hear the Word randomly.

This morning, I was only in there for a few seconds and I heard this phrase:
“Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”

Training: To see it ALL as Training

Training

… seeing it ALL as training… SO HARD!

Well, it’s hard to REMEMBER it’s “training” in the heat of the moment.
Just two days into the week and two very different “Training” episodes already.
When you are dealing with children – out of control, broken, prone to outburst, rebellion, attitude, defiance… and my trigger of triggers: BLATANT DISRESPECT…
Yes, it’s hard to remember it’s just training.

I fail, I succeed, I fail, I succeed, and fail again… yes, within micro seconds of each other.
It’s a volatile balance between maintaining control of the class while not losing control of yourself. … and trying desperately to find that spot where you trust God to hold it all together and keep you from NOT adding to the already broken state of the children. It’s hard.

I fail.
I succeed.
I fail. Continue reading “Training: To see it ALL as Training”
