About Me
Hi, I’m Kelly. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, pursuing a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. I’ve been quite a fan of classic movies since grade school, when my grandmother changed my life by forcing me to sit through Gone With the Wind (1939). Needless to say, she doesn’t have to force me to sit through movies anymore. In addition to the hours devoted to sitting in front of my television, I’ve amassed a respectable collection of period stills, sheet music, one-sheets, lobby cards, and other promotional materials related to the films and actors I love most.
Through this blog, I hope to refine my writing skills (a little bit at least), as well as the way I view films. I hope to get over my initial feelings of befuddlement over movie dissection, and come to appreciate the work that goes in to a close analysis of such a rich medium.
