While Fred was at work
the kids and I had some time to PLAY.
It was funny that most of what we did
was stuff we did when they were
LITTLE but it was so much different
now that they are BIG.
Ammon rode his new motorized scooter
in the apartment complex parking lot.
Haleigh rode in the shopping cart
because she was "so tired".
Caleb insisted on pushing her and
at times would purposely push her to a spot
in the store and leave her. I would hear
her calling me, "Mom!" from a few isles away
and when I followed the sound of her voice
to find her she would be pushed up against
a shelf and unable to move.
After awhile Caleb decided
to jump on the cart as well,
because he was "tired too".
We visited a large park on a lake
and the kids wanted to go to the slide.
We had never seen a spiral slide standing alone
not attached to a play set.
They just had to try it.
There was a HUGE flock of ducks at the park,
probably close to 100, gathered by the pond.
Caleb tried to pet them.
and Ammon fed them beef jerky.
A few of the ducks had afros.
Notice the second one closest to Ammon
he was sporting a fluffy feather hair-do.
They made us laugh!
That evening we went to downtown
Louisville, KY to have dinner.
We saw people gathering for a big basketball game
at the YUM/KFC Center.
We saw a cool bridge
and stopped outside the factory where
they make the Louisville Slugger bats.
We even enjoyed a little snow while we were there.
I LOVE that my kids can still be KIDS!!
