Spring is in the air.

This tree right here in my front yard is my absolute favorite thing about spring. It has the most beautfiul blossoms on it, and I look forward to it every year.

This makes the bi-polar Utah weather all worth it.

Yard work and dumpsters...horray!

So this is the project for the summer. My backyard. It is disgusting, its never really been usable because its full of concrete, weeds, and dirt. Not fun for my chillins.
Its probably going to take most of the summer to finish it. But it will be so nice when its done. The tree stump that you see used to be a huge pine tree that we took down a few years ago, it was a nightmare, there are power lines directly behind it, and when we cut the tree it fell the wrong way and snapped ever single power line on the way down, all the guys were trying to pull it the other way but instead the tree pulled them across the yard as it fell, there were sparks flying and everybody ran for cover, it took like 6 hours for them to get the power to come back on and it knocked out power to most of the cove, the light you see behind it, when it fell everyone sitting at that light just started yelling good job, and honking, it was so embarrassing.
This is the progress so far so above is what it looked like before, and below is what it looks like right now after we dug it up and graded it this weekend. Its so much better already.
I will keep you posted as we keep making progress.

Haircuts?? Yes, please!

Since summer is officially here, I thought it was time to give the children a little pick me up, starting with their hair.

After: (not much of a noticable difference, but she had crazy split ends)

This little boy was a bit of a project, I haven't ever given him a major cut, and he wasn't happy about it, luckily the hairdresser (my neighbor and friend) was totally patient with him.

Im still undecided, I loved his long hair, but thought that I would cut it for summer, we will see how it grows out, he looks adorable and the cut is so cute, but he has the prettiest hair, I was just curious about cutting it.

Camden's Flower and the new toy.....

We have had a new friend for the past few weeks, and it is this beautiful dumpster that is in my driveway. It brings back so many bad memories of the remodel that wouldn't end. The boys have had a blast using it as their own personal jungle jim, its their favorite toy.
Whew, after all that climbing Camden took a much needed breather.
They're so funny, they literally messed with whatever this is for like 20 minutes and they were working as a team trying to figure out how to "fix" it. It was adorable.
Alright this made me laugh so hard...Camden found this broken leaf and carried it around all afternoon, he brought it up to me and said look at my pretty flower I got for you, after a short conversation he looked down and realized that the "flower" had broken, in grown up talk he meant the leaf had fallen off.
If you look closely you can see he is still holding the stem in his hand and looking everywhere for the "flower"
yep stem still in hand. I said, well where did it go? and his response was, (with a pout on his face, and a whimper in his voice) the wind took it, that's not nice, tell the wind to give it back! I was laughing so hard and he was nearly in tears, it was the funniest thing.

Still longing for the flower the wind took from him, like a thief in the night.

Camdens 3rd Birthday....part 2.

Thats right my friends, we had a dinosaur party. We went to the party store, I lined up all of the different themed plates and he chose these dinosaur ones. So we went with it.

Do you think this bike is to big? He can't even reach the pedals, but he still thought that it was awesome.

Happy Birthday my baby.

Camden 3rd Birthday.....part one.

I cannot believe my baby is now 3! We spent the afternoon down at gateway, and started the festivities off with a nice little lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, one of my faves, and the boys love pizza!
They went with the always loyal, pepperoni pizza, and scarfed it right down, you would think I starved them.
When the waiter found out it was his birthday ,they brought him out a big ol' ice cream with a cherry on top because he is just so sweet:)
Aiden sat there watching Camden take the first bite, and Camden turned to him and said, with his head slightly tilted, "you can have some if you want, I will share with you, its good ice cream, its really good for you, it makes you strong and healthy," Camden is the funniest little thing you would ever meet, I swear it! Then we were off to the movies, we saw Oceans, it was awesome, and they loved it.

This was the perfect start to the day, Camden enjoyed himself and Aiden got to come along for the ride (Haylee was in school). Stay tuned for the rest of the day...

The fabulous Michael Buble...

Let me start this post off by saying this was the best concert I have ever been too, and I have been to a few in my day. He is such a great entertainer, his voice is amazingly flawless, and I wish everybody could see him live!

So me and Sydney had quite the excursion trying to get to this dang concert. It started with Sydney leaving her phone at home, and we were driving separately, that complicates things, then when we finally got into the vicinity of the E Center it was dead stopped traffic, the parking lot was full, so we had to park in China and walk uphill both ways in the snow, and I mean that quite literally. It was blowing, and slushy, and cold, and I was wearing open toed heels? Not smart. We finally made it inside at exactly 8:oo then had the journey of finding our seats.
The journey back to the car was no better. We were freezing, it was still snowing, and all we could do was laugh about it. We finally made it to the car only to have to sit in the traffic for another 45 minutes.
We had such a fun night, and it was Sydney's first girls night since having her little baby nugget a few weeks ago, and it was nice to get together, and I'm pretty sure she was excited to get out of her cave for a few hours.
