Is it Possible for Energetic Entity “Spirits” to Affect Humanity Today?

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms,” Ephesians 6:12

The following comes from Chapter 5 of my a2024 INTERNATIONAL IMPACT BOOK AWARDS-winning book, IN THEIR IMAGE AND LIKENESS, subtitled, UNIVERSAL WISDOM:

Numerous Old Testament and New Testament sources cite scriptures that confirm this is still possible.[1] The choice is yours. But before you have a free will choice, you need to be aware that other negative influences of others that might not be as innocent as you might first think.

It is prudent to take an extra moment to assess if something seems off to you. Bring the matter to mind in a conscious way, enabling you to think more deeply about the choices before you, and their ramifications. Are they filled with Wisdom and Love, or the opposite?

Look at what happened in 325 CE when the Council of Nicaea[2] took place, soon after the war between the Roman Empire against the Persian Empire, waged by Roman Emperor Julian. He wanted to revert to paganism yet needed to solidify the people. The Council of Laodicea declared Christian beliefs in the Creed, with only 30 like-minded bishops from six of the Latin-speaking regions of the Western world. There were 1,800 bishops at that time.

Who decided not to include the once Sacred Scriptures found at Nag Hammadi, Egypt from the scriptures that would become our current bible?

Most of the exclusion came at the hands of certain bishops, popes, anti-popes, and the Roman Emperors Julian and Jovian in the fourth century CE as the Christian religion was in the throes of becoming, or remaining, the official religion of the not so holy Roman Empire.

It is said that, before a pivotal battle, Emperor Constantine saw a cross in the sky and took it to mean if he converted to Christianity, he would win the battle. So, he did. (Such a wonderful reason for turning to the peaceful teachings of Christ). In 324 CE, he named the Christian religion, which had up until then, to one degree or another, been a reason for persecution by the government, to be the official religion of Rome. His successor, Julian, didn’t feel the same way. He wanted to return to the old order of pagan gods and Christian persecution.

At the Council of Laodicea, Julian and the bishops who were invited decided that, among other things, any stories of women being of prominence in the religion would be squashed, as would stories of fallen angels taking on human qualities and walking the earth. Other things discarded were the stories of the multiple “gods” who ruled the earth in early times, or their several re-incarnations. Most of what was found in The Nag Hammadi Scriptures and some of what was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls was left out.

What was going on in the Christian religion at that time?

Let’s see, there was Pope Liberius who was exiled by the emperor who then installed Felix II in 355 CE. Felix II was one of the anti-popes. The Council of Laodicea was held in 363 CE and 364 CE to establish what stories would be told in the Christian religion. The emperor Julian died in 363 CE. Then the leadership of the Roman Empire suffered some very quick successions, and between 363 CE and 366 CE there were four different Roman emperors, some ruling simultaneously.

When Felix II died in 366 CE, the Christian people elected Ursinus to be pope. At the time, however, the people’s choice also had to be run by the emperor for his ratification, and Damasus, who also wanted to be pope, and who had supported the high-born followers of Felix II the anti-pope, hired a bunch of thugs to massacre the followers of Ursinus.

Ursinus was exiled and Damasus became pope. Strangely, Ursinus (the people’s choice) was called the anti-pope. Damasus, (obviously the emperor’s choice,) was now the pope. He decided to solidify the findings of the Council of Laodicea that had been held during the Papacy of Felix II the anti-pope while Liberius (the real pope) was in exile. Those findings decided which books would be entered as the official bible of the Christian religion. Human error became the “word of God.”

Suffice it to say that at that time the scriptures were massaged to closely mirror the patriarchal society of Rome keeping in line with the inequality of gender judgments of the Christian, orthodox, and political religions.

It was the Catholic bishops attending the Council of Laodicea who unified theology, agreeing to ban the writings of the words of Jesus held within the bosom of books termed Apocryphal today. I would like to point out that it is no accident that politics and religion combined in that effort to spread the Roman Empire all over the world.

Have you ever noticed the Roman Catholic Church in just about every city in the world?

Jesus AND science follow the Eternal Universal Law of Nature within the accepted Laws of Thermodynamics, which I repeat here for emphasis since most religions trip on this part. Most religions teach that God always was, always will be, and always remains the same.

Religion’s understanding can only hold true IF religion’s comprehension allows for the fact that Eternal Universal Life Force Energy experiences and learns in and through you and me in the vast experiment of the Creation within eternity, thereby becoming part and parcel with all of it, animate and seemingly inanimate. This changes with each lived experience.

If religion’s “God” already knew the experience of Love and Wisdom, along with the effects of lack of Love and Wisdom within all the angels, fallen angels, humanity, and every other creation of which we are barely cognizant, there would be no reason for this ghastly experiment of life.

The reason we are here is not merely for some cosmic game of win or lose. It’s as if we need to be shaken by our shoulders, metaphysically speaking, to shake off the cobwebs of indoctrination of the eons of time, to finally understand that the Light that animates your life and my life, is Eternal Universal Life Force Energy experiencing Itself. This knowledge matters. If we do not come to grips with this reality now, we commit ourselves to other lifetimes until we do. Re-member, infinity is infinite. Yes, I spelled remember as re-member.

Why?

To re-member is to re-connect us to the bigger whole of Eternal Universal Life Force Energy.

The problems that have tripped up societies in history throughout the world when politics and religion are combined, are the same problems occurring globally today. It would be wise to pay attention, so we do not invite cataclysms into our lives and the planet, as if we did not know better.

Turning a blind eye to Truth because of underlying religious and political undertones masking and giving permission to violent behaviors as justification for religious beliefs, wreak havoc on a civil society seeking the betterment of humanity, on one hand, while simultaneously causing the chaos they blame on others, on the other hand. Here is another example of doublethink of George Orwell’s 1984, holding two opposite ideas in your mind and believing both.

We see this playing out on the world’s stage today. We are smarter than this, but only if we allow ourselves to see what the problem is, not play the blame game with payback ramifications. It is time to mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually mature into the Life of the Eternal Universal Life Force Spirit/Soul Energy which we truly are.

WICKED is a brilliant balm for a hurting humanity. It tells people of all skin colors, nationalities, creeds, genders, personal identification: LGBTQII, ages, and people of all ability and disability that you don’t have to wait for a white person, or anyone indoctrinated into any political and/or religious cult-like mentality to lift you out of oppression. ~ Linda Hourihan is the author of IN THEIR IMAGE AND LIKENESS, MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS, THE VIRTUE OF VIRTUES, and blog: https://lindahourihan.wordpress.com/2024/11/23/should-you-and-your-family-go-see-wicked/

WICKED masterfully addresses what it means to have integrity in the face of opposition, stilted values, and living in freedom and love without conditions.

WICKED is not for you if you prefer servitude over freedom, blind obedience over critical thinking, cult-like indoctrination mentality over free will, oppression over liberation, fiction over facts, bondage and slavery over freedom of thoughts, words and actions, or if you need to be under the political or religious thumb of others.

WICKED is for you if prefer to stand up for yourself by choosing freedom of thought over censorship and book banning, integration over segregation, and love of all people in the world, all of whom are equal in the eyes of God.

Religion vs Spirituality In Everyday Life

Jesus taught, in Luke 17:20-21, that the Kingdom of God, the LIGHT of God, is WITHIN You. You are that powerful.

This knowledge that Jesus taught is the very reason he was crucified.

Mary Magdalene, in the Gospel of Mary, tells the apostles who ask her what else Jesus told her that he did not share with them, “There is no such thing as sin.”

This is a theological point. Jesus is saying that since God is the author of everything that exists, AND GOD IS COMPLETELY GOOD, therefore, sin cannot really exist.

Evil and sin are voids of good, thinking good solutions, speaking words of goodness to remedy personal and society’s ills, and acting in good and life-affirming ways.

We tend to personify evil as the devil, or as a Satan, when in reality each one of us is the personification of evil or sin every time we opt for tearing down rather than building up of good, positive, life-affirming thoughts, words, and actions.

All dark, evil, or sinful situations are opportunities to do the most good every single day. It is a conscious choice we make.

It does no good to run away from the evil boogieman on one hand when we are feeding him with our lack of good thoughts, words, and actions on the other.

Empathy, compassion, love without conditions, and forgiveness are the way to build up a society, just as Jesus taught us to do.

Love without conditions is all about freedom and free will. This means we are to love without conditions all children born to us, regardless of their gender.

For example, how dare humanity ostracize anyone born in non-traditional genders when humanity at large is largely responsible for having a direct effect in genders within humanity. Every single human being is responsible for their thoughts, words, and actions. Ignorance of the ramifications of our thoughts, words, and actions is no exception to creating that which you do not want.

Nature follows nature, always.

A new study published in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety finds that male fish are turning into females – a phenomenon known as intersex – due to chemical pollution, specifically estrogenic endocrine disrupting chemicals or EEDCs. This is a humanly contrived situation simply because humanity did not recon with this possibility at the time. Chemical pollution is due to human error. In the same breath, we tell everyone to drink more water.

Humanity cannot now consciously then blame, or worse, outlaw the gender spectrum of humanity, something humanity helped to create. Love without conditions is always the answer. It is time to stop the ignorant void, which is the personification of evil as touted by some religions and fill this void with love without conditions.

All human life is sacred.

There is one race, the human race.

There are many indoctrinations held in the ordained and sanctioned tight-fist-grip of religions.

Here in the United States we have a clear and distinct separation of church and state.

We are not to run the government of the USA according to any religious belief, not Muslim, not Hindu, and not any flavor of Christian, and certainly not the hijacked run-away religious Christian Right Wing.

Now is the time for the Dove of Peace to enter as a soothing balm to correct erroneous human perceptions often held within many religions.

Now is the time to look to Spirituality to create heaven on Earth. This is possible. What you think about you bring about.

Namaste

Gratitude for You Reading my Blog Since February 1, 2012 ~ Worldwide Readership

You will notice the number at the bottom left of the picture, but that only counts the United States readers. The total number of readers is 120,991 at the moment. Thank you for you. You will notice the pink spots show where readers come from.

I write about all issues affecting humanity, with a focus on how to help humanity with empathy, compassion, and understanding. At this time of year, many people are focusing on the birth and life of Jesus, even in the midst of war ravaging our one home planet. People are dying in unjust causes, aggression, greed and land grabs. People are suffering in all kinds of ways.

How can one blog help the world?

Every minute of every day every individual makes choices on how to live their life the very best each one can. People do not usually make bad choices unless their backs are up against the wall with no way out.

I wish to tell the world there is always a way out that saves the most life, especially human life. No one can balance the scales of injustice by more of what caused the problem in the first place. This is obvious.

What kind of world do you wish to live in?

Some people choose to live in denial. But ignorance is not bliss.

Every single person on this planet matters, regardless of nationality, race, color, creed, age, gender, job description or any other division we opt to select as our unique trait. Not one of us is better than the other. To think otherwise is to trip on a self-inflated ego illusion.

Jesus was born to a Middle Eastern family, which is not Caucasian. He spoke of peace, love, forgiveness, kindness, virtue and goodness. Like Gautama Buddha, he taught about non-violence. Now is a good time to consider how each of us can apply these principles to our daily lives. So often we forget. Our thoughts, words, and actions make all the difference in the world, literally.

This is not all about what the other guy ought to be thinking, doing, and saying. That would be indoctrination. You are not the boss of anyone else but yourself, even if you are the titled boss of a corporation or army of people. At this moment, I am speaking to every individual, whoever and wherever you are.

Begin with yourself by treating yourself better, getting enough sleep, healthy food and clearing all negative thoughts, words, and actions. Decide if you are on the right path for your life. Who is watching out for your life, health, and happiness?

There is more involved than indoctrination and obeying senseless rules and obligations. Choose life. Stand up for principle and honor peacefully. There is always the possibility to take the road less traveled with peace, kindness, empathy and compassion at the helm.

Leave the group of people who beat the drum of low vibrations of prejudice, gossip, slander, racism, and anarchy. No country in the world flourishes when all of humanity is not taken care of with peace, love, and joy. This is the goal, to live in peace and harmony for all humankind in every land.

The following is the list readership views. Understand that there are 46,769 additional views as of this post not counted in the totals below, due to when I upgraded my WordPress.com blog. Every country, territory, and protectorate in the world is included in this readership.

I wish to say a special thanks to those on the original Princess Dawn Cruise Ship and the Royal Majesty of the Seas Cruise Ship crews for taking my business card for this blog from my hand and sharing this blog to all the islands and beautiful faraway places.

Likewise, I wish to show my gratitude from the bottom of my heart, for my clients and friends who have taken my words back to their native friends and family, back to their homelands and on vacations to these special places all over our one Earth. We are all ONE HUMAN FAMILY.

The Discord In Your Life Keeps Repeating Lifetime After Lifetime Until You Address It

The accumulation of discord and life issues you have experienced in every incarnation back into a physical human body repeats, since you are the one who created and repeated the patterns sparking each following reincarnation. The second we mature, own our own creations, and learn how to properly treat ourselves and each other, the sooner we perfect ourselves and make our Ascension.

Discord is not something that happens to us, nor simply happens on the world stage. Discord is something we create and sustain by our focus upon it. Discord has our own human signature. This happens in world issues as well as personal issues. Notice that when we decide any issue of the day is not important enough to care about, they tend to disappear and lose importance. Or when we treat problems of the day with levity or good humor, those discord moments also tend to disappear.

We manifest what we focus upon. This is not to say that a discordant situation of someone else’s design does not affect you. But how you deal with it is your contribution to either fueling the fire, putting out the fire, or letting the fire burn out of its own accord without any contribution from you. Gossip circles and character assassinations are such fires that would soon stop if we all changed the subject to something more productive.

Each human being is a Spark of Universal Eternal Energy experiencing through this lived experience. Life is a school of learning offering us many opportunities to solve complicated life issues. When handled with empathy, compassion and love, we grow in character development and perfect ourselves. When we harden our hearts and decide to work with coldness, rude, arrogant and egotistical behaviors, all we are doing is assigning future lifetimes to more of the same struggle until we “get it,” that these life issues will keep repeating until we finally learn that there is more to this life than we first thought.

The reason humanity will keep repeating life issues of the failed past is because we are the ones who created these issues. These issues are our stuff. We will reap what we sow, always.

Remember your soul Source, Universal Eternal Energy, which has no beginning or ending. This Source of all life everywhere is eternal. The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed. Your soul is part of this amazing, beautiful dynamic energy. Perfecting ourselves through the trials and tribulations of life proves our mettle.

The animating dynamic of your soul is its I AM Presence, which is the life of Universal Eternal Energy giving you life. When you pray, meditate and contemplate, it is this Source that responds to you. You are the Spark of Divine Love, Light, and Life existing on the Earth for the purpose of Universal Eternal Energy experiencing all of life through you.

You have freedom. You have free will. You do not have to do anything, be manipulated or guilted into doing anything. You can choose to do evil thoughts, words, and actions, or you can choose to do good thoughts, words, and actions. Human beings make mistakes. Expect to do that. But also forgive yourself and others, because, after all, you are still just a human being; a marvelous human being, but until you perfect yourself, well, here you are.

Enjoy the wonder, the awe present in every day life. Solve what you can for your own peace of mind. You are amazing and have a heart, mind, and soul to guide you.

Have a beautiful day!

Whose Ethics? Now Is The Time ~ What Do You Stand For?

When I was co-chairperson of the Massachusetts Education Reform Act of 1993, I suggested introducing an ethics class to go along with the newly accepted sex-education course that was being taught to that year’s sixth graders. The answer I got back was, “Whose ethics?”

That answer, as if it were a viable one, is what stood between teaching with and without ethics.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines ethics as: “the discipline with what is good and bad, and with moral duty and obligation.”

The other answer I got at that same meeting was, “If we teach morality, whose morality should we teach?”

We see this today on the world stage, as if different sides can interpret ethics and morality differently.

We see this in the movie and television world, where each year, we reach certain tolerance levels addressing crime, violence and bloodshed. Once those limits are set, it seems more detailed crime, violence, and bloodshed is required to maintain the status quo of an increasingly bloodthirsty audience.

We see this in the ever-infringement on innocent youth for the invading and decending language, as well as inappropriate dress, as if it is normal to send prepubescent students to school in the same clothing as ladies of the night.

The government of the United States of America is also not unaffected by sweeping away ethics and morality, claiming immorality as morality, unethical behaviors as ethical behaviors, lies as truth, and always claiming that it is “the other guy” who is lying, even when videos and facts prove otherwise.

Remember, even Pilate asked the famous question, “What is truth?” We all ask this same question when we do not like what we are hearing, and have our own agenda.

What do you stand for?

Do you close your eyes to dishonest practices because they serve you in some way?

Do you sell out your integrity for the bottom line?

Is your political career more important than the lives you hold in your hand with the swipe of your pen?

Do you have any part of playing God by separating children and babies from their parents, putting all of them in cages, those who are seeking refuge at our borders?

Do you make yourself complicit in human trafficking by selling stolen children from their parents and selling them through adoption agencies?

Do you mandate SARS CoV2 (COVID-19) numbers be sent to the US Health and Human Services, which are said to be manipulated into more palateable numbers for public consumption, rather than mandating they be sent to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for accurate expert, medical opinion and dissemination?

Do you close your eyes to global warming and climate change because you receive some benefit of money or endorsements?

Do you listen to medical doctors or pharmacological companies in your decision making process?

Do you trample upon the Constitution of the United States, and what the Statue of Liberty stands for as imprinted on her base, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

Do you stack the Supreme Court with judges who truly serve justice blindly, remembering Lady Justice wears a blindfold signifying that justice is truly blind when it comes to race, skin color, ethnic background, gender, age, ability, or disability?

Do you stand for equal pay for equal work, regardless of people of different race, skin color, ethnic background, gender, age, ability, or disability?

Do you value people over things?

Where do you spend your money?

Where do you spend your time?

What do you think about?

Where you spend your thoughts, time and money; there is where your heart is.

Each of us, whether we are in public office and have a direct ability to make just laws for all citizens, or whether we are citizens making a living at our life’s work, or even currently without work or home, we can all take in the news of the day and create more just and civil societies right where we are.

The recipe for our life may need to change depending upon the variables at hand. We can always use our free will to uplift rather than put down, heal rather than inflict pain, listen rather than ignore pleas for help, listen without an answer running (which is not listening), and feed the poor rather than close our eyes to the plight of hungry humans.

Giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin. Sometimes it seems easier to give than receive. But receiving is necessary for balance of greed running rampant. It is odd that those who truly are in need of receiving have a harder time receiving what they need, as opposed to the wealthiest among us, not in need, who seek to usurp receiving to fill their gluttonous desires.

Bloom where you are planted, even if you are the only one blooming.

Be a Point of Light ~ Points of Light by Randy Travis ~ Encouraging Words

THERE IS A POINT, WHEN YOU CANNOT WALK AWAYcandle-burning-darkness-one-orange-candle-flame-burning-darkness-black-background-copy-space-text-132074341
WHEN YOU HAVE TO STAND UP STRAIGHT AND TALL
AND MEAN THE WORDS YOU SAY
THERE IS A POINT, YOU MUST DECIDE
JUST TO DO IT ‘CUZ IT’S RIGHT
THAT’S WHEN YOU BECOME A POINT OF LIGHT

THERE IS A DARKNESS, THAT EVERYONE MUST FACE
IT WANTS TO TAKE WHAT’S GOOD AND FAIR AND LAY IT ALL TO WASTE
AND THAT DARKNESS, COVERS EVERYTHING IN SIGHT
UNTIL IT MEETS A SINGLE POINT OF LIGHT

CHORUS:

ALL IT TAKES, IS A SINGLE POINT OF LIGHT

A RAY OF HOPE, IN THE DARKEST NIGHT
IF YOU SEE WHAT’S WRONG, AND YOU TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT
YOU WILL BE A POINT OF LIGHT

THERE ARE HEROS, WHOSE NAMES WE NEVER HEAR
A DEDICATED ARMY OF QUIET VOLUNTEERS
REACHING OUT TO FEED THE HUNGRY, REACHING OUT TO SAVE THE LAND
REACHING OUT TO HELP THEIR FELLOW MAN

THERE ARE DREAMERS WHO ARE MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE
TAKING TIME TO TEACH THE CHILDREN, THERE’S NOTHING THEY CAN’T DO
GIVING SHELTER TO THE HOMELESS, GIVING HOPE TO THOSE WHO DOUBT
THAT’S WHAT THIS LAND IS ALL ABOUT
ONE BY ONE … FROM THE MOUNTAINS FROM THE SEA
POINTS OF LIGHT ARE CALLING OUT TO YOU AND ME …

REPEAT CHORUS

Let us all be single points of light amid the darkness, until we flood the entire world with Light, Peace, Inspiration, Hope, Faith, Love, Joy with all our brothers and sisters across this one world we call home.

You Are The Fulcrum ~ The Balance Of Your Life ~ The Balance Of The World ~ Repost

How balanced is your life? Are you balanced between home, work, school, relationships and everything else? What are the signs to watch out for that you are out of balance?

Picture a seesaw with one side up, the other side down and the fulcrum, that balance point between the two in the

Lever with globe of Earth and small ball. simple machines by Archimedes. lever is a machine consisting of a beam or rigid rod pivoted at a fixed hinge or fulcrum.
middle. Jesus Christ is the fulcrum of all of our lives. We choose whether to live with Him in our lives, or without Him; or with or without God His Father in our lives. The same goes for the Holy Spirit, the love of the Father and Son. We choose each day whether or not to include this Love on our lives. But without Jesus as our center point, there is no point.

Jesus Christ, Son of God Almighty, is the balance point in all of our lives, our true fulcrum. Each of us decides when enough is enough in our day-to-day living. The determining factor of who we are, what we believe, and what we will allow into our lives is all up to us. But there is an unnecessary problem we create for ourselves when we exclude Jesus Christ, who came to earth to show us how to live in this world, presently ruled by Satan.

Think of this for a moment. Jesus was led out into the desert wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted there by Satan. For forty days and nights Jesus fasted. Then Satan tempted Him to get food by changing stones into loaves of bread.

Jesus answers, “No! For the Scriptures tell us that bread won’t feed men’s souls; obedience to the word of God is what we need.”

Then Satan took Jesus to Jerusalem to the roof of the Temple, and said, “Jump off and prove you are the Son of God …”

Jesus responds, “It also says not to put God to a foolish test.”

Lastly, Satan took Jesus to the peak of a very high mountain, and showed Him all the nations of the world and all their glory, and said to Him, “I’ll give it all to you, if you will only kneel and worship me.”

How could this last test of Jesus been a real temptation is Satan were not the real ruler of this world?

Would the temptation of Jesus in the desert after His baptism really have been a temptation if Satan were not the present ruler of this world? (Remember Satan and one-third of the angels in heaven were cast out of heaven and sent to earth. These are the fallen angels of old.) Jesus goes into the desert where Satan tempts Him that if Jesus would bow down before him, Satan would give him all the kingdoms of the earth.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, remained faithful amid great temptations. How hungry are we after only missing a meal or a day or two of no food? Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights. He was most certainly at the point of starving, and still chose to do God’s will, not his own.

We get that same choice to make each and every day. Who’s will do we follow?

Sometimes we act as though we are not in charge of ourselves, or our government or situations like global warming or world peace. But everything we think, do and say show us if we are in our out of balance, and what principles are important to us.

Policies and strategies can also be balanced on government fulcrums perfectly, or miss the mark entirely. When governments are out of balance, it is possible to not only fail as a nation, it is possible to harm the citizens who live there, cauterizing the hearts of rulers who treat people as less than human. Governments are the fulcrums within their own administrations as well as meeting their responsibilities globally. When governments are out of balance in their duties, it is possible to put an end to the one planet we all live on.

Each day we make the choices in our lives, to live by God’s will each day, or by our own will. Then there are times we freely give our own God-given will away to others or to situations. Those are the times we play the victim of our lives. Sometimes we act as if we are not in control of our lives, or that we are ignorant of what is really going on so that we do not have to deal with it. This is when we step out of our own power, as if someone else will make these decisions for us. This has a side benefit. When we play the victim in our lives, or abdicate the responsibility for our lives, we then begin to blame other people and other circumstances for everything we think is wrong. But this is not the truth. We are deceiving ourselves.

We need to peacefully take back the God-given power of our free-will that we gave away, individually, in our families, in our states and in our countries in the world, of which we are all a part. We can do this with calm integrity, no need for rash behavior. If we want things to be better, we have the power to make them better by making better life-giving decisions, and being better people. Let’s admit it. Sometimes we do not do our best because of a host of other reasons and/or justifications.

However, all of us in every country in the world, are at a tipping point of more people choosing bad over good, evil over good, or sin over virtue, not only in our own lives, but in the world at large. We can change this if we want to, but nothing will change unless we consciously decide to choose more good over bad, good over evil, or sin over virtue.

If money is the bottom line, as most people say these days as to what they determine to be the most important reason for decisions made, then humanity is doomed to fail, cities and states are doomed to fail, and the ecological health of the world will fail. In all cases, we can have all the money in the world and die of a disease; Flint, Michigan can have the biggest bank account to save money but unless money is spent to fix drinkable water there, the drinking water will remain toxic; and the world’s economy matters little when global warming is completed and the earth is no more.

There are many factors that affect our decisions, like greed, envy, sloth (laziness), lust, wrath (anger), gluttony and pride. We know these seven pitfalls as the seven deadly sins because they hurt us individually as well as collectively. Each of these negative or bad traits, sin, has a positive or good remedy, virtue.

Rather than be motivated by greed, we can think, speak and act generously. Perhaps money is not the bottom line after all.

Instead of envy we can practice genuine love.

To improve on sloth (laziness) we can take vitamins and invigorate our dreams, renew our goals, and begin yet again.

To combat the addiction to lust we can welcome purity and modesty in our thoughts, words and actions.

Addressing wrath and uncontrolled anger, a bad habit and often an addiction, requires taking a few deep breaths and allowing understanding, listening to others, improving communication and peaceful solutions to be possible. We may feel justified in our wrathful, renegade emotions, but unless we deal with them with integrity we may have regrets as time goes by.

The solution to gluttony is moderation in food and drink, or any other addiction we are over-indulging in.

Finally, the answer for pride is humility. Being proud of our accomplishments at a job well done is not a bad thing. The problem with pride arises when we go overboard, becoming vain, arrogant and haughty. We do not even like ourselves when we don this puffed up attitude, if we are being perfectly honest.

As strong as the negative traits, more accurately known as sins are, the positive virtues can become just as strong or stronger. It is simply a matter of focusing on good over bad, choosing good over evil. Practicing these seven virtues is one way we can make good shine in our lives.

What is wrong with the world starts with you and me, and the priorities we live by. You and I are each responsible for the conditions in our lives, our neighborhoods, cities and states, and in all countries in the world. Each day you and I get to decide for good, or for bad; for virtue or for sin. We each decide on this very day whether we will choose good over evil, evil over good or virtue over sin. We can build ourselves up or we can tear ourselves down. Likewise, we can tear our neighbors down or build them up; like tearing down or building up policies and actions that benefit the entire world.

Why does this matter?

It matters to you as an individual person to mature in integrity and honesty. It matters in order to create the neighborhoods we want to live in. It matters to stand up for the scientific facts that tell of how to fix broken systems in the world. Integrity and truth matter.

Thinking of our failings only as bad habits or negative traits keeps us is a downward cycle of “that is just how I am.” But acknowledging our failures as sins, something we can repent and be forgiven for, give us hope. We can make amends and build the broken bridges we have caused in our relationships. Try as we might, we will sin before the night is through in our thoughts, words and actions today. We are not perfect. But we keep trying. God the Father will always forgive us, through the Love of Jesus our Savior, and the Love of the Holy Spirit. These are the gifts promised to us by Jesus. Each day we have this hope. There is always hope.

Isn’t it our own business how we live our lives?

Yes, it matters. Yes it is our own business. The point is that we look at the world, then point fingers at what is wrong with it, when you and I are the snowball that started it all. There are things we can do to fix the problems of personal and global greed, envy, sloth (laziness), lust, wrath (anger), gluttony and pride, as mentioned above. We must start with ourselves if we want our countries to be better, for the sake of the world.

We have to start with the beginning of the problem, not just the middle or end of the problem.

Things never stay the same. Change is the only constant in life. Choosing good over bad, good over evil, or virtue over sin, however you look at it, will create a healthier, kinder, more humane world in which we all can live and thrive. This also creates a new beginning in our relationship with God, which might need our attention at this very moment.

Start right where you are. Are you in government? Then make the most honest, best decisions you can for the life of all the people under your jurisdiction, and for the life of the planet, not just self interest. Otherwise, you can be the fulcrum that tips towards destruction not only of you personally, but the entire earth. We are very near tipping towards the point of no return. Presently this is possible to fix. Try to be part of the solution, not exacerbating the problem. Things never stay the same. You can be the instrument to save the world as opposed to demolishing it. Ask for God’s help, through the intercession of Jesus Christ, with all the Love the Holy Spirit has to give.

The same goes for the financial crisis erupting in all countries across the globe, and all other matters of importance. Remember this when things get so complicated we cannot see the forest for the trees, think PEOPLE BEFORE THINGS. To have balance, prioritize people by helping where and when you can over taking care of things. Financial matters are things. Things matter, but people matter more. Money is not always the answer for problems people have. Yes, it all matters. You matter. Again, do not forget to include God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Love of the Holy Spirit in all your decisions for the best results possible.

All people matter, not only the rich, the top one percent of the wealthiest among us; not only the milky white people, but all people represented by the 203 countries including territories and protectorates of the United States of America, most of which are not milky white. God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, created Jesus His Son as His first Creation before any and everything else, in which Jesus took part in every other Creation known to us. We were all Created in Love, and with free-will.

We live in a global society. Our friends and families live all over the world. The planes we fly land in most all countries in this one world we share.

We are one race, the human race, here on this planet.

Education matters. Are you in education? Encourage your students/children with critical thinking skills in order that they include compassion and common sense as a problem solving process they can work with, including not mindlessly following the mistakes of some of the prejudiced generations before them. Show them by example how we all can be better people. Pray again. Pray through Jesus Christ, in the Love of the Holy Spirit, to the Father of All Creation, for the minds of all of humanity to continue to grow and learn as we were intended to grow and learn.

Educators, how do you handle bullying, hungry students, students at risk, students compromised in a wide variety of situations, and students standing up for themselves? Education is a priority in every person, family, neighborhood, state and country for the success of the world. Teachers are the shining light, the good that can help so many students in need of empathy, compassion, and understanding to be better citizens of the world. Never stop praying, through the intercession of Jesus Christ, who Himself endured numerous injustices in this world.

However we think of it, and whatever we think about, we bring about. Let’s make the world a beautiful place to live, within ourselves, with our families and friends, neighborhoods, states, countries and the entire world. Let us include God our heavenly Father, Jesus Christ His Son and our brother, and the Love of the Holy Spirit in our greater families since that is truly what we are, one global family.

God Bless

the two in the middle. Individually, we are the fulcrum of our lives.

Jesus is the balance in our lives. We use our God-given free will to decide when enough is enough. NEVER MAKE A DECISION OUT OF FEAR ~ EVIL ONLY TAKES ROOT WHEN ENOUGH GOOD PEOPLE DO NOTHING

When making decisions about next steps to take, there are many valid considerations toSee the source image ponder, but fear ought never be one of them. Fear should never tie us into knots. Whether it is in our personal lives, or civic, educational, financial, moral or even political futures to be weighed, decisions need to be made from a basis of intelligent information, goals to be attained, moving towards where we want to go. Decisions focusing on what we do not want, moving in a direction we do not want to go, or fear of something happening is the worst foundation of any decision.

Solid foundations to base any decision on include desires made from the highest goals with the most love of all people, support of life for all people, fairness and integrity of all people, for the up-building of all people.

See the source imageMaking decisions in life can seem so confusing, as if there are so many possible sides to consider. There is a way to streamline the thinking process and step off the merry-go-round of “spin.” Governments do this. People do this. Both usually have their own agendas. “Spin” does not help you. You know what your goal is. Focus on your goal.

First, stop thinking of all the fear-based thoughts surrounding the issue. Focusing on what you do not want keeps you focusing on what you don’t want.

Second, list all of the positive benefits leading to your end goal. Write down as many as come to your mind without dismissing any positive benefit.

Third, do not allow any influences to give you negative input in the guise of “looking at both side.” You can kindly inform them that they can make their decisions that way if they wish, but this is your decision. Do not listen to anyone who tries to instill fear.

Fourth, map out the steps you need to take to accomplish your goal unhindered by negative thoughts or negative people.

These steps might seem like common sense, but so often we give away our own personal power to someone or something else. All too often we cave in to fear, fear of this happening, fear of counter-attack, fear of loss of popularity, fear of judgment, fear of failure, or even fear of success, fear, fear, fear. The list goes on.

Imagine a country who only wanted the best for all people with no fear; to be a haven for war-torn countries with no fear; to have the means and opportunity to feed the poor and shelter the homeless with no fear; to build and repair roads and bridges with no fear; generate more technologies and innovation for the health of the future in all countries with no fear.

Imagine a person, who despite past failure, gets up and tries yet again to realize a dream fulfilled, based on their hopes and life-giving qualities, until their goal comes to a life of its own.

Imagine a world with a goal of peace, mutual cooperation with multiple benefits to all citizens in all countries.

We are living in a time where we have a host of positive plausible possibilities, in our personal lives, in our communities, in our states and in our countries. We need to tip the scales of thinking good, saying good, being good, and doing good.

Evil only takes root when enough good people do nothing.

SELF-ESTEEM AND EMPOWERMENT vs VICTIM AND MARTYRDOM MANIPULATION

Some of us come into our own at an early age, knowing just who we are with all of our strengths and our weaknesses. Others of us come into this internal and

external knowing later in life, while some of us carry on to the end, never really knowing all the dimensions of what makes us tick, or what our mission in this lifetime is. There are so many factors that shape a person, his or her emotional self, personality and personal likes and dislikes, religious and personal beliefs, self-esteem and personal empowerment issues.

Self-esteem, like every other human trait mentioned here, is a living, pulsating energy. Your self-esteem is a living entity, fed every minute of every day by your own thoughts, in addition to the thoughts and attitudes of those who raised you, the schools you went to, the friends and people of influence around you, and the attitudes regarding the value of life you have finally adopted.

What role do you play in your own life?

Do you like how you are feeling?

Your feelings are key to assessing where you are at in your personal development. Denying your feelings is a sign of weakness, not strength.

Everyone from time to time feels empowered. On occasion, we find ourselves in situations of disempowerment. This is the human condition. Two people can grow up in similar situations, yet, one person comes out strong, while the other person comes out of the same set of circumstances emotionally scarred by taking on the role of victim or martyr that he or she has chosen to assume. Why is this?

In order for self-esteem to fully blossom, we need to pull out the noxious weeds of self-imposed victimhood and martyrdom. Some of us cling to these dysfunctions as if they are badges of accomplishment to be worn into every life situation. We could succeed if it were not for this, that, or the other thing that stopped us. Recognize all seeds of negative self-messaging the second it comes to mind.

When bad things happen to us in our lives, we have two choices, not just one. The worse choice we can make is to succumb to the lower sense of self, then act out the role of being a victim, as “woe is me,” that of living out our life as a martyr. The best choice we can make is to identify with our higher self, recognizing that we are a beautiful work of creation.

Do not allow yourself to ever think, agree or believe negative messages about yourself. Accept yourself, right where you are, with all of the history and happenings that have ever happened to you. If there is something about yourself you wish to change for the better, then become aware and consciously work on that.

Liberate yourself from self-imposed negativity. Yes, you can. You are not a victim unless you want to be. You are not a martyr unless you choose to take that role on. But why would you do either? Often people choose these roles of dysfunction because they have learned they can manipulate others by doing so. It is good to take stock of our true motives. Accept who you are now, and consciously grow in the reality that you are worthy.
