This Universal Life Church Ministers Handbook includes five contributions of prayers for you that are written by me. I get no financial benefit from the sale of this book in either its digital form, pictured above, or physical hard copy book, pictured below. This is a beautiful help to all ministers and can be easily adapted to specific denominations. The picture above is of the digital option: https://store.ulc.net/product-p/more-wfr.htm
This week I officiated over a married couple’s renewal of marriage vows in the presence of their family and friends. It was so uplifting to see a couple so much in love that their union has flourished for 43 years.
The looks of love in each set of the couple’s eyes matched the love radiating from their hearts, and the appreciation they have for each other, melted not only my heart, but all who attended the ceremony, and the following celebrations which lasted for three straight days.
Their Renewal of Marriage Vows reception overflowed with numerous memories which both the guests and they shared, usually followed by much laughter and joy.
I was among the contributing authors included in the book More Weddings, Funerals And Rites of Passage which I share with you today. Prayer and meditation are a couple of ways to bring in positive Eternal Universal Life Force Energy in everything you do.
It is a way to remind all of us to be our better Selves in the face of negative alternatives in the world today, by inviting in the very Eternal Universal Life Force Energy that animates our Souls, as well as the entire cosmos.
Bringing in higher Eternal Universal Life Force Energy vibrational frequencies make all the difference in your surroundings, what you eat, how you go to sleep, including how you drive.

And I’ll try not to drive faster than my angels can fly.
Seeing the crowds, Jesus went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him. And
Therefore, do not let anyone judge you about what you eat and drink or about the observance of a festival or of the new moon or of a Sabbath. Those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the Christ. Let no man deprive you of the prize who takes delight in a false humility and a form of worship of the angels, “taking his stand on” the things he has seen. He is actually puffed up without proper cause by his fleshly frame of mind, and he is not holding fast to the head, to the one through whom the whole body is supplied and harmoniously joined together by means of its joints and ligaments and made to grow with the growth that is from God. Colossians 2:16-19
he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
“Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
“Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs kingdom of heaven.”
Jesus reaches into our hearts, to comfort us, to strengthen us, to encourage us, and to inform us of the days to come in the Kingdom of God. Today, this world, is not all that there is. We know this, but from time to time we forget.
Psalm 145:8-19 in the Old Testament also reflects on the glory and majesty of God affecting past, present and future:
“The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.
All thy works shall give thanks to Thee, O Lord ,
And all thy saints shall bless Thee!
They shall speak of the glory of thy Kingdom,
And tell of thy power,
To make known to the sons of men thy mighty deeds,
And the glorious splendor of thy kingdom.
Thy Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom,
And thy dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord is faithful in all his words,
And gracious in all his deeds.
The Lord upholds all who are falling,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to Thee,
And Thou gives them food in due season.
Thou open thy hand,
Thou satisfies the desire of every living thing.
The Lord is just in all his ways,
And kind in all his doings.
The Lord is near to all who call upon him,
To all who call upon him in truth.
He fulfills the desire of all who fear him,
He also hears their cry, and saves them.”
Generations, from Old Testament to New Testament, repeatedly tell us of the glories of God’s Kingdom to come. Jesus taught us how we are to treat one another when he taught us how to pray:
“Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed by thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done.
On Earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our debts,
As we also have forgiven our debtors;
And lead us not into temptation.
But deliver us from evil.
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Now is the time to look into our own hearts, and allow the breath of God’s Holy Spirit to heal us, and all whose lives we touch. These are promises from God, reminding us that God’s Kingdom not only affects today here on earth, but in his Kingdom to come, for all eternity.
