Chiselbury Publishing | 123 followers on LinkedIn. A new face in publishing | Chiselbury Publishing was founded by Stuart Leasor as James Leasor Publishing in 2011 to make the works of his father, James Leasor, available to new and old readers. James Leasor had been one of the bestselling and most prolific British authors of the second half of the 20th Century, writing over 50 books ranging from thrillers and historical novels to histories and biographies. However none were available as ebooks and the few in print had legacy contracts with publishers who had little interest in them.

Mostly, but not entirely, videos of journeys in JL50 around London/SE England. JL50 is an SS Jaguar 100, commonly shortened to SS100. It has a 2½-litre straight-6 overhead valve engine producing approximately 100 BHP and 4-speed gearbox. Only 198 2½-litre and 116 3½-litre models were made. On test by the Autocar magazine in 1937 a 2½-litre SS100 was found, with the windscreen lowered, to have a maximum speed of 95 mph (153 km/h) and a 0–60 mph (97 km/h) time of 13.5 seconds. JL50 was manufactured in February 1937. It still has its original engine, gearbox and chassis. It was purchased by author James Leasor in 1964 and ownership has remained in the same family ever since. In his 'Aristo Autos' series of novels, 'They Don't Make Them Like That Any More', 'Never Had a Spanner on Her' and 'Host of Extras', the unnamed hero, owner of the Belgravia vintage car dealer, drives an SS100, and it features prominently in the books. James Leasor books are available again from Chiselbury.
