10 Picture Books That Celebrate Pride, Family, and the Beauty of Our Differences — The Pocket Librarian

📝 Instructions:
🧠 Step 1: Name the Worry
On the printable, there's a space for the child to draw or write about a worry — anything that feels big, scary, or hard to talk about.

🎨 Step 2: Color It In
Encourage the child to decorate their worry however they want — give it eyes, wings, sparkles, or even a silly mustache! Turning the worry into something visual (and even funny) helps make it feel smaller.

✂️ Step 3: Shrink It!
Cut out the worry drawing and fold it small, then put it into the “Worry Shrinker” pocket on the printable (or into a special envelope or box).

💡 Optional magic touch: You can “seal” the envelope and say a magic word like “Shrink-a-doodle!” or “Tiny Times Ten!” to finish the spell. ✨

🌈 Step 4: Talk About It
Encourage your child to share what they drew. Let them know worries grow in silence — and shrink when we talk.
