We are home to the best performance Lancashire Heelers. With 13 breed firsts and 26 (and counting) other accomplishments across mutiple disciplines, we are a kennel that takes the ring by STORM!

WELCOME

Here are a few things that make STORMR unique:

‣ 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 
I am the only breeder that achieves ATT (AKC Temperament Testing) titles on all breeding stock. I am one of the only breeders in the United States that does not breed aggressive dogs.

‣ 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡
All breeding dogs are fully health tested beyond the requirements of CHIC. I am the only breeder in the United States that has not and will not breed a dog with luxating patella. 

‣ 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 
Puppies are raised in my home with Puppy Culture and Avidog to give them a great head start. 

‣ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 
All breeding dogs are titled in multiple venues - not just conformation. No breeder of Lancashire Heelers competes as much as I do. In addition, we are home to the #1 Barn Hunt, herding, dock diving, FastCAT, and weight pull dog in the breed. STORMR heelers can do ANYTHING!

THE STORMR DIFFERENCE 

‣ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 
Here are a few words that describe the Lancashire Heeler's personality: Happy, Active, Playful, Sassy, Friendly, Alert, Vocal, Hardworking, Affectionate, Ready, Energetic, Smart, Versatile, Scrappy, Charming, Fearless, Mischievous, Humorous, Spunky

‣ 𝐒𝐢𝐳𝐞
The ideal height for males is 12 inches, and the ideal height for females is 10 inches. 
A male of good substance and height is about 20lbs, and a female of good substance and height is about 17lbs.

‣ 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
Heelers thrive on activity! They seem to have endless energy, even well into their senior years. But while they are an active breed, if their needs are met they are happy to cuddle on the couch with you at the end of the day.

‣ 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
Heelers require very little grooming aside from a bath when they get dirty. They shed year-round and blow their coats twice a year.

ABOUT THE BREED

There are a few genetic health issues that Lancashire Heelers can inherit. Luckily, with good breeding practices and health testing, these issues can be easily avoided.

In addition to these conditions, it is important to do regular CAER eye exams to screen for other inheritable eye disease.
