being mia and a card/bookmark

Good morning everybody and welcome!

Did you miss me? Well, I've been missing you since we started our moving journey back in March. And oh boy, it was exhausting! But now we are here in our new home and we are already kind of settled in ... well, kind of :).

I hope that I will be back at my crafting table a lot more than I've been in the past. But I don't make promisses. My DH will be deployed by the end of June and so I don't know how things will be going here around the Hartmann ranch but I hope to do my best, okay?
Thank you for staying with me and stopping by every now and then.

For today I have a little project to share with you. You remember the International Inkers? Well, this month it was my turn to put together a kit. I have so much paper from SU that I decided to dive into it even though it is retired and lots of cards were already shown with it.... I like it and I send it out to

Karen and

The kits were loaded with some extra goodies to play with and this gorgeous little image from Whiff of Joy - couldn't resist :)

What do you think? Do you like my little project? Any suggestions for doing better? Please let me know by leaving a comment and you will be in for the drawing. The giveaway will be a card kit - the same that I sent out to the other girls :) *waving* (no pics here of the kit so it will be a surprise!)

Thank you for swinging by today
Special hugs

Introducing International Inkers

Hello everybody!

Today marks he beginning of a new venture... well, kind of!

Welcome to Crafters without borders ~ otherwise know as the International Inkers! A few of us thought it would be fun to share kits internationally and a group was born. Representing Germany we have the talented Imke, Canada is ably supported by crafty Karen and the amazing Paola and the United States is provided props by our own spunky Catherine and Michelle - woohooo... last but not least I joined too ;)

Each month one of us will send identical kits across the borders to our fellow Inkers and once they are received at all the destinations, a posting date will be chosen and our creations will be up for all to see. We also have a special International Inkers incentive for each posting. When you stop at each blog and leave a comment, you will be entered into a drawing to receive the same kit that the Inkers created with. This month's kit is pictured on the right and will also include the same images in an ink of the winner's choice.

Here is the list of all "International Inkers":

and me ;)

Thank you for swinging by today - and now, go visit the other girls - you won't be disappointed !

Have a wonderful Sunday

cqc#75 happy birthday

Hi there,

I'm terribly late with my post for this week's colorQ challenge. We have two sick kiddos at home, hubby is preparing for his deployment (which will be in July but he already in trainings...) and I got a new job where I actually need to be in the office and not at home with the little ones ;). And on top .... our new home!!!! We will get the key on the 26th of this month - boy can you tell I am excited!!!!!! Enough rambling - and back to the reason you are here for, right?

I kept my card clean and simple again because I was in a hurry. And of course I used my beloved PTI goodies :) can't get enough of 'em.

Thank you for visiting me today - have a blessed one

cqc #74 Fly away

Hi there,

another sky theme - you may ask? YES - Arielle has chosen a great color combo for this week's colourQ challenge and I had to go with the sky. And other than that... well, my hubby will be deployed by the beginning of July and I wanted to have a head start with guy-cards I plan to send to him. So you will see the sky and the clouds and the ballons and all the kites and other stuff like that more often .... (pssst, because it's related to his work;) )

For my card today I used a set from There she goes - darn, I always forget the name but they have just one that is with ballons and scenery ... . And the blue ballon was taken from the "fly away" set by PTI. I stamped the birds in black and added just a little glittery shimmer with a Sakura pen but on the photo you see just the glitter, grrr!

The background was sponged with broken china distressed ink. It looks stunning in reality but not on the pic - so sad.

Thank you for stopping by today - take care, my friend

Waiting Tilda - Love U

Hi there,
thank you for stopping by today.

I wanna show you a Magnolia card that I created for the Friday Sketchers challenge. I got this Tilda from one of my stamping buddies from SCS.
We are doing a special swap/ challenge. The host of the month stamps 3-4 images and sends them out to the participants. Each of the ladies creates a card using the image and post it on her blog. It is so fun to see all the different cards made with the same image.. I love the paper Tilda was stamped on - so sparkly!!!! can you see it the picture in the right? It' even sparklier in reality :)

Thank you Linda for this one!!

cqc#73 dotty hi

Hi there,

it's time again for the colorQ challenge. And Arielle has chosen "my" colors for this week's challenge. LOVE all kind of blues but I seem to have trouble getting a card done with them ... So I stayed with the cas style and used 2 PTI sets "Dot Spots" and "Outlined Alphabet"".

Unfortunately I messed up the "i" while coloring in poor light ...grrr! We wanna see your creation - come and play with us!!!

Violets bookmark and card

Hi there,

I'm back with another project using my Year of flowers: violets. This week's Make it Monday at Nichole Heady's blog she is featuring the "glitter with scor-tape"-technique. Last week I played with my goodies and used glitter on a strip of score-tape. I'm kind of sad that the glitter did not turn out that bright. But it's okay. The main focus was the bookmark anyway - it's a gift for my sister who loves to read.

Despite the paper, glitter and doily I used PTI only :) LOVE THIS COMPANY :)

Thank you for visiting me today and thak you so much for your encouraging comments - thay really mean so much to me.
Special hugs Tanja

Hi there - violets

Hi there,

here is my second card of the series I made last week. Another clean and simple card but I think that is just me :). And it is a PTI-only card *insert smile here*...

Thank you for popping today - gotta run.... It's great-grandmother's birthday today and the kids brought home Lice from preschool :::rolleyes:::. What an exciting life, hum? :)

PTI Make it Monday #2

Hi there!

Hope your Sunday is a good one so far.
I played with the Make it Monday chalenge over at Nichole Heady's blog. The theme is "sentiments on vellum strip".

Last year during PTI's 3rd birthday celebration I won an awesome prize - this "Year of flowers: violet" included. And ever since it hasn't seen much ink. So I pulled it out and played with it for quiet a while. As a result you can see the card above but stay tuned for the next days. I have a couple more things to share made with this combos :)

Have a good rest of the weekend

PTI challenge

Hi there,

I made this card for Nichole Heady's color swatch challenge today. BTW did you follow through the birthday activities over at the PTI blog - oh boy, this company is an awesome one, I tell ya!

I chose this color combo from Melissa Philips.

Okay, my card is not that beautiful but it meets the requirements. :) And I had fun making it - it's a PTI-only card.

Thank you for staying tuned and please keep your fingers crossed for a hug prize for me to win ;), heaven knows I would LOVE it

Friday Fairy

Hi there,

I'm back with a card I made from one of the wonderful card kits I got from my Secret Sister during the last round of SS-swapping. She put together so gorgeous kits and is out of this world generous too- huge hugs!!!!

I went crazy with all this pink and bright spring colors. I colored this fairy with my Copics and tried to add a little bit of grass - I saw this "technique" on my friend Arielle's blog the other day and had to give it a try - not sure if it works for me. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers which seamed just perfectly fitting :)

Thank you for stopping by today

cqc #71 yeah for PTI

Hi there,

are you already tired of seing PTI cards here on my blog? Well, sorry! BUt I have another PTI card for you today :)

Arielle has chosen this gorgeous colors for this week's colourQ challenge and after trying and playing with my stamps and working..... this is what came out. I love this subtle colors all in one place and my #1 favorite "tool" when it comes to work with lots of colors is making my own patterned paper. The Guide Line series from PTI is just perfect for doing this.

You need to play with us this week - I want to see what you will come up with!

cqc #70 - Stars

Hi there,

another Tuesday and another colourQ-day! Go and check out Arielle's colors for today - to die for!!!!!
I chose this sketch from the clean-and-simple blog (LOVE all the cas ideas!!!) and went ahead with this soft combo *happy sigh*

The star is from an Elzybell bell that sat in one of the boxes for ever before I finally broke in it today :). And the sentiment is from the same set called "Stardust and Moonbeams". (guess what: no PTI on my card today ;) )

Thank you for stopping by today - have a great rest of the week

cqc#69 - bookmark card

Hi there,

how is everybody doing? It's time for another colorQ challenge! And what do you think about this week's colors? I didn't know what to do with the cajun crazy...... hm! And I made a card and sent it to a friend without taking a picture - BUMMER! Well, this is my second choice and definately not my best. But a friend of mine is a bookworm and she loves color combos like this one ....

Here is the inside with the attached bookmark - clean and simple - just the way she is :)

Have a wonderful day my friends and thank you for stopping by today
Hugs Tanja

P.S. - just wanna let you know that I have a ton of cards to show you but I'm working on 3 envelope albums for my sweet hubby who will leave for his deployment in a while. So it will take some time to get pictures taken from the cards and the albums to show you what I was working on lately. So please bear with me and stay tuned.

cqc#68 - poppies

Oh boy,

we had a rough week here at the Hartmann Ranch! I was home sick and so was oldest boy. The youngest one seemed to have more energy than ever and my hubby was preparing for a 3-week-training in Poland ***phew***. But now we are doing better. I still have the feeling that I could go to bed at 7 pm :) but I really need to spend more time with my goodies and camera and blog and so on ... , right?

Back to today's colorQ-challenge. I LOVE th colors Arielle chose for this week. When I saw the inspiration photo I knew that I wanted to play with this poppy stamp set from ThereSheGoes. So I grabbed my Copics and went ahead. I really like the result but I still need to practice a lot more. The cardbase was dry embossed with one of my PTI Impressions Plate (forgot to write down the name - sorry). Everthing else is pretty self-explaining.

Thank you for stopping by today and bearing with me
