In 2022, alongside the MiCA regulation, the European Commission introduced the DLT Pilot Regime (Regulation EU 2022/858), reinforcing the EU’s commitment to embracing innovation in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT). The DLT Pilot Regime is designed to test how blockchain-based platforms can effectively interact with traditional investment services, including bonds, securities, and investment funds. It provides a legal framework for trading and settling crypto-assets classified as financial instruments under the MiFID II directive (2014/65/EU). Through this initiative, market participants can establish new market infrastructures such as: -DLT Multilateral Trading Facility (DLT MTF) -DLT Settlement System (DLT SS) -DLT Trading and Settlement System (DLT TSS) In addition, recently, the Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to expand its initiative for settling transactions recorded on distributed ledger technology (DLT) using central bank digital currency (CBDC), specifically wholesale CBDC (#wCBDC). On the retail CBDC (#rCBDC) front, the EU is actively progressing towards implementation of another significant project—the digital euro. This would be a free electronic payment method available to everyone in the EU, providing functionalities such as offline payments. Yesterday, our CMO Ada Mockute Jaime talked about gaming in Lithuania on the LNK TV show Labas vakaras, Lietuva. Together with Spinter research, we conducted a survey to learn more about mobile gaming trends in our home country. What stereotypes exist, and how do they compare to reality? What does the mobile gaming landscape truly look like? 📊 Busting Gaming Stereotypes: #Stereotype 1: Mostly males play mobile games. 🚫 False – 53% of women have at least one mobile game on their phone, compared to 59% of men. #Stereotype 2: Gaming is mainly for kids and teenagers. 🚫 False – In Lithuania, most players are between 25–50 years old, which aligns with the global average player age of 35–40 years. #Stereotype 3: Games are only for people with free time or lower incomes. 🚫 False – The majority of active players are highly educated and work full-time. 🎮 #Gaming Habits: How many games do people have on average? 4% have 20+ games 4% have 10–20 games 15% have 5–10 games 31% have 2–5 games How often do they play? Most play daily, spending around an hour per day, often in multiple short sessions. 💡 What types of games do they prefer? Women: Simulation, time management, fashion, puzzles.
