🌱 Last week, LuxMobility had the pleasure of leading an interactive workshop on public perception and acceptance, in collaboration with Institut für ZukunftsEnergie- und Stoffstromsysteme (IZES gGmbH) and Saarländische Wasserstoffagentur and as part of the project PACT-H2, at the Training School on Hydrogen for Clean Energy. Co-moderated by Alexia Bierlaire, the session began by exploring the core concepts of acceptance and awareness in an interactive exercise, then moved into a dynamic roleplay, where participants stepped into the shoes of citizens, politicians, and project developers to examine different perspectives on hydrogen projects.💬 A huge thank you to Riccardo Scalia, Nicholaus Prasetya and Isaac Mandelbrot-Yombo for organising the event and inviting LuxMobility to contribute, as well as to all the participants whose engagement made the workshop such a success!

Luxembourg introduces Social Leasing which will allow all families to access to an electric vehicle. 🇱🇺 Au #Luxembourg, les objectifs climatiques pour 2030 sont ambitieux: réduire de 55% les émissions de gaz à effet de serre par rapport à 2005, porter la part des énergies renouvelables à 37% et améliorer l'efficacité énergétique de 42%. Le gouvernement rappelle que le secteur des transports représente plus d'un tiers des émissions nationales de GES. L'électrification du parc automobile est donc un levier clé, mais le coût élevé des véhicules électriques reste un frein pour de nombreux ménages. Pour y remédier, un projet de loi déposé le 24 juillet prévoit l'introduction d'un leasing social automobile à partir du 1ᵉʳ janvier 2027. Le dispositif s'adresse aux bénéficiaires du complément vie chère (CVC) et concerne les voitures 100% électriques, neuves ou d'occasion, répondant à certains critères de consommation. L'État prendra en charge une partie du coût du leasing: 10 800 euros pour un véhicule neuf et 4 500 euros pour un véhicule d'occasion. L'aide sera versée directement à la société de leasing, qui devra la répercuter intégralement sur les loyers. Les contrats auront une durée de 36 mois et pourront être renouvelés si les conditions d'éligibilité sont toujours remplies. Selon le gouvernement, environ 7 800 ménages pourraient bénéficier du dispositif entre 2027 et 2032. Cette aide ne sera toutefois pas cumulable avec le Klimabonus Mobilitéit.

🚀 A promising start for the NEXTLOGIC pilot in Differdange! Last week, the Ville de Differdange hosted a public #NEXTLOGIC Info Session, bringing together city representatives, researchers, logistics experts and technology providers to discuss how innovative digital solutions can support more sustainable urban freight and mobility. The session introduced the Differdange pilot, where NEXTLOGIC will expand the city's Digital Twin, deploy Smart Loading Zones, and explore the integration of EV charging infrastructure to enable smarter, more efficient use of urban space. Participants also had the opportunity to discover the PARKUNLOAD solution and discuss the city's ambitions to tackle congestion, improve curbside management and make data-driven decisions for a more liveable, climate-neutral city. A big thank you to Carlos Terán and Steve Faltz from the Ville de Differdange for organising this successful event, and to Laura Palacios-Argüello (University of Luxembourg), Carles Sentis Ros and Patrice M.
