Marky Marks

Mark and I have now been married for 3 wonderful years.  Since Houston is so full of culinary delights, we decided to find a new one to try.  We went to Mark's in the heart of Montrose, near downtown.  The food was delicious!  I think it tasted better because we didn't pay for it.  Mark's boss gave him a free dinner at any restaurant of our choosing, and that's the one we chose.  Food always tastes better when you don't have to pay for it or cook it!

Our anniversary dessert:  Blueberry Tart with Blueberry Muffin Ice Cream.  YUM!

We also tried Foi Gras for the first time.  We were fans.  I love being able to spend time with my best friend and celebrate the day we got to be together forever.  I love you Markus!

Brielle also celebrated 10 months of life on our anniversary.  She celebrated by taking 10 steps unassisted.  I can't believe how much my little sweet pea is growing!

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?

Fabulously, thank you.  We destroyed all the caterpillars that were eating our tomatoes.  Despite some problems with squishy squash we have harvested and eaten four.  We downed two eggplants.  And remember Timmy?  He got some brothers and sisters, which we have eaten with relish.  I love, love, LOVE eating produce from MY garden.  Just makes my day.

Yup, we grew those amazing looking zucchinis.  Thanks for asking.  :)
