Become a Patron

Patrons have always been at the heart of art and religion.

In medieval times, a monastery would be supported by a patron – a wealthy benefactor who would cover the construction costs, allowing the monks to focus on the work of prayer and service.

Martha’s House is on a mission to develop modern monastic resources for everyone. We are committed to fostering the spiritual growth of our members and serving the world.

Our prayer book and other materials are free for everyone. There is no cost to join our community or to use our resources.

Our desire is simply to help those who engage with our community, or even just with our materials, to deepen their faith and develop a vibrant and relevant life in God that makes a difference for them and the world.

But that doesn’t mean it’s easy or that it’s free.

Our expenses include website hosting and maintenance, content development, IRS filing fees, incidentals – down to the post office box rental – and of course our members’ time.

As a virtual community, we have no buildings and no facilities. This means every donation to Martha’s House is immediately invested into our ministry.

Our resources

We published our simple prayer book in August 2019 and released the expanded second edition in October. We’re so pleased that its simple form and online accessibility has been helpful to those developing or sustaining a practice of daily prayer, especially people on-the-go: the Marthas of our world.

Other resources are regularly updated on our Martha’s Table website.

These resources are freely available to all.

Become a Patron of Martha’s House

By pledging a recurring donation to Martha’s House, you support our ministry in the form of resources – like the expanded prayer book and devotional resources – and people. You can also make a one-time donation, and any amount is welcome.

As a religious organization in the U.S., we are considered tax-exempt by the IRS. Your donation is tax deductible and if you provide your email address, we will send a receipt.
