Girl’s AMAZING MATHs from 1854

It was common for girls to make Needlework Samplers in the 19th C. But Anne Foreman stitched the border and then printed the solution to a mathematical problem adding her name and the date.

What was Anne doing?

Anne has the correct answer but how did she do it?
