I’m Max, a Software Engineer, System Administrator, Homelabber and Linux Enthusiast based in Bingen, Germany.

I'm a strong proponent of digital freedom and ethical hacking. As long as you stick to the CCC Hacker Ethics and don't conflict with the Incompatibility of Membership of the CCC, we're gonna have a good time.

Experience

I have been programming for about 5 years now, with half a year of professional experience in the field. I program in Kotlin and Rust, but always like to sprinkle in some new language to try out. I also know my way around some of the more prominent frameworks of those languages, namely KTOR, axum and just a little bit of Spring (Boot).

I spend a lot of my time tinkering with my homelab, and have used it to learn a lot about containerization, CI/CD, Kubernetes and many other things!

These are some projects I built over the past:

  • smtg - a simple http gateway for sending email
  • queue - a small message queue for connecting iot devices
  • store - a simple persistence layer for kotlin
  • puwusher - a cli for pushover
  • dots - my very handy solution for dotfile messes
