Kuma Vessel Vault

We’re excited to announce the on-chain deployment of the Kuma Vessel Vault. This is an important milestone for a secure, decentralized ecosystem.

The Kuma Vessel Vault is a transparent, digital on-chain vault designed to protect the assets of the Kuma Inu project and enable decentralized management.

During the building phase of the Kuma Inu project, the Kuma Vessel Vault is managed by the kumatokens.eth multi-sig wallet. In the future, management will be transferred to the community through the Kuma DEX DAO. Kuma Inu’s goal is to build a transparent, fair, and secure ecosystem managed by the community, with no middleman.

Our beloved Kuma Inu turns four today. Four howls for Kuma 🐶!

This is a special day to pause and look back on how far we’ve come, and to reflect on our next goals: the plans for our space mission to Nu Draconis. As always at Kuma Inu, the community is in command.

During the bear market, the community focused on making Kuma Inu a safe haven: securing our most important assets and bringing trusted people onto the team. The community built a functional ecosystem around three pillars: the Kuma Breeder, the Kuma SwapX, and the dKuma Breeder. Kuma Inu is a decentralized meme ecosystem driven by its community. Through the power of the Kuma DAO, the community votes to make every decision.

Thanks to the community, Kuma Inu now stands on transparent, resilient, and robust foundations of real, credible security and decentralization. But there’s still work to do.

These foundations need further work to become truly solid. To build a vibrant ecosystem with real utility and revenue generation, it is very important to operate within a legal framework and comply with regulations. This is a critical step toward achieving a successful project. Our ecosystem must be fully decentralized and remain in the hands of the community. These are very ambitious goals for a meme project, but nothing will stop Kuma Inu.

As you may already know, IBC reached out to us last year. IBC is a consulting firm and incubator specialized in blockchain funded by Mario Nawfal. They provide support in marketing, media, legal, and finance. We see great potential in IBC as an ally, and we would like to partner with them. The IBC team has the capacity to guide us and provide the necessary help to put Kuma Inu in the place it deserves.

Shaping the Future of Kuma Inu

Another year with Kuma Inu is coming to an end. The Kuma Inu Core Team would like to use this opportunity to make a suggestion for the further development of Kuma Inu.

Some will certainly be disappointed that we still have a big step to go before we reach our goal. The core team has always put a lot of thought and work into keeping Kuma Inu in the hands of the community and taking the right steps in the right order. We want to continue this together with the community for the further development of Kuma Inu.

After the community took over Kuma Inu, we were able to keep the project on track. There were important adjustments to security and also preparation for the further path of decentralization by setting up the individual Kuma Inu departments and the provision of a decentralized internet presence with the applications for the Kuma Inu ecosystem.

We are therefore pleased to present you with our suggestion for the Kuma Inu roadmap. We hope for a stimulating discussion and look forward to designing the roadmap together with you and confirming it in a subsequent Kuma DAO vote.

For a better understanding, we would now like to explain our proposal and why we think that the individual steps in the given order are important for Kuma Inu.

Preparing for the Kuma DEX

The Kuma DEX is the main goal of the Kuma Inu project and we want to make it a reality together with you. When approaching the strategy, we must be realistic and acknowledge that such a product is very ambitious and requires thorough preparation. Once the Kuma DEX is launched, we don’t want it to fall like a sand castle, but to stand through the years like Egyptian pyramids, and become the Nu Draconis of the meme ecosystem. After a detailed analysis, we have concluded that the most important points for a proper preparation are: 1. Legal compliance 2. Having an own ecosystem that generates revenue 3. Full decentralization of the ecosystem.

Legal compliance

Legal compliance is the most important. For the safety of the ecosystem, we need it at every step forward. We have been in contact with the consultancy agency IBC. They offer professional services in the legal field, which would help us maintain a compliant ecosystem. Furthermore, we suggest establishing a legal DAO entity for Kuma Inu in the UAE, for which IBC’s expertise would also be pivotal.

Launch Kuma Vessel Vault

An important step and further security of the Kuma Inu funds. As we all already know, we were able to achieve this with the introduction of the Kuma Inu multi-sig wallets. The Kuma Vessel Vault is a smart contract that allows managing funds in a decentralized way, with no middlemen. It would give the community the opportunity to have even more say in what the Kuma Inu funds are used for. Initially, it would be managed by one of the Multi-Sig wallets of the Kuma Inu ecosystem. Once the Kuma DEX DAO is deployed, it would be managed by the community via on-chain proposals. We could have different versions for different goals or products. An important goal on the Kuma Inu roadmap would be to generate income. Through the already existing Kuma ecosystem, existing Kuma funds and also through the upcoming sale of the Kuma NFTs on the Kuma Artium.

Launch Kuma Artium

Kuma Artium has been very well developed and prepared so far. The marketplace would initially be launched by itself. Shortly after, the Kuma NFT collection would be dropped and available on the site. The NFTs have been equipped with attractive utilities for the Kuma DEX and were originally intended to finance the Kuma DEX. Nevertheless, we recommend the Kuma Inu community should vote again on whether the revenues in relation to the roadmap should be used exclusively for the development of the Kuma DEX or better for important and future investments that are a prerequisite for launching the Kuma DEX.

Launch Kuma Breeder V2

We must keep in mind that the Kuma Breeder is not in the hands of the Kuma Inu community at this point in time. We are not in a position to autonomously dispose of the income from the fees. Furthermore, we are not in a position to expand the Kuma Breeder with additional assets. An expansion of these assets would make the Kuma Breeder an attractive platform for great partnerships that Kuma Inu will enter into. For technical understanding: There would be a migration of $dKuma with a Kuma Breeder, as a new governance token is required for this. To ensure high reliability, both the Kuma Breeder v2 and the $dKuma v2 token would be audited.

Launch Kuma SwapX V2

As we all know, not all fees from the Kuma SwapX currently flow into the Kuma Inu ecosystem. During development, we had to use building blocks that we had to pay in the form of a 50% transfer of fees. To get an understanding of ​​the development costs of a Kuma SwapX: The costs are around $60,000. This was not possible for Kuma Inu at the time. However, the Kuma Inu ecosystem only makes sense if 100% of the fees also flow into the ecosystem. We believe that we can generate income for Kuma Inu much more successfully if we also hold 100% of the ecosystem in our hands. The Kuma SwapX v2 would be audited to highlight its safety.

Lauch Kuma DEX DAO

We suggest building all new products with a decentralization-centric approach, with the Kuma DEX DAO in mind. The Kuma DEX DAO would be the final piece in our decentralized puzzle. Once deployed, it would enable us to fully decentralize the ecosystem and put it in the hands of the community. Thanks to the Kuma DEX DAO, the community as a whole would be able to manage the products on-chain without the need for an intermediary. This would be a huge milestone for us as a decentralized collective. The staking pools in the Kuma Breeder, the settings of the Kuma SwapX, and the project’s funds stored in the Kuma Vessel Vault would all be managed by the Kuma Community via proposals on the Kuma DEX DAO. With integrity in mind, the Kuma DEX DAO would be audited to ensure high reliability of the process.

Launch Kuma DEX

The Kuma DEX is the master goal of the Kuma Inu project. It will be a DEX dedicated to the meme ecosystem with a community-centric approach, with the mission of becoming its Nu Draconis. The Kuma DEX will be fully managed by the community, including the tokens listed on it. Therefore, it has the potential to strengthen existing partnerships and create new ones. It may also have the promising capability of improving the existing meme ecosystem by offering benchmarks and tools to help differentiate quality memes.

At this stage of the roadmap, thanks to all the previous steps we may have taken, we would have been able to prepare a solid foundation for the project to establish the Kuma DEX.

With legal support, we would be prepared to ensure compliance and readiness. With the Kuma Breeder v2, we would have had the opportunity to establish strong partnerships in the meme industry and have some communities anticipating the Kuma DEX. The Kuma SwapX would be able to serve as the spot trading platform within the Kuma DEX. We would use the Kuma Vessel Vault to manage the funds received from the Kuma DEX. Last but not least, with the Kuma DEX DAO, the Kuma Community would manage the Kuma DEX in a fully decentralized fashion.

To sum up, thanks to the preparatory work, once the Kuma DEX launched, we would have the project much better positioned for high chances of success and sustainability.

In summary:

The primary goal of Kuma Inu with the roadmap must be that we are fundamentally able to generate more income than we have been able to achieve so far. At the same time, Kuma Inu’s funds should be secured and the Kuma Inu community should also have a say in how they are used. The project will run reliably thanks to a legal framework.

Kuma Inu must be able to finance important marketing and development activities through the Kuma Inu ecosystem. We cannot rely solely on donations for support.

We have to be clear that it doesn’t make sense to finance and launch a Kuma DEX at this point in time. The measures to regulate crypto projects, especially in the DeFi area, will continue to increase and be strengthened. We also have to prepare Kuma Inu for this. In this area in particular, Kuma Inu is still in contact with a renowned consulting company called IBC. The further development of Kuma Inu will therefore be accompanied by activities that will decentralize and legalize the project even more. We will soon inform you separately about the status of the negotiations with IBC.

Kuma Inu will continue to make progress next year. These will be important steps so that we can ultimately achieve our goal: A decentralized financial project that emerges from the ranks of the Kuma Inu community and that we hold in our own hands.

We aim to ensure that Kuma Inu can sustainably generate income while involving the community in critical decisions. The Kuma DEX launch remains our ultimate goal, but it requires a solid foundation and financial stability.

Why do we think the order of the individual steps in the roadmap is important?

Kuma Inu would be able to generate funds through a secure, decentralized and stable ecosystem, which would ultimately put the ecosystem on a legally secure footing. There would be funds that would enable important marketing activities on a large scale and would launch the flagship Kuma DEX. And the best thing: We are all involved. We are the CEO of Kuma Inu.

Next Steps

Let’s discuss and finalize the roadmap together. We look forward to an open discussion and a subsequent Kuma DAO vote.

At this moment we have reached out to IBC to present them our roadmap with a cover letter. We have clarified that this is a suggestion for the community and the final confirmation will be given on the Kuma DAO, therefore the next steps will have to wait until then.

The timeframes in the roadmap are approximate and updates may occur.

We have no direct influence on the development of the crypto market. The price development of Kuma Inu also depends on various factors over which we have no influence. The Kuma Inu core team sees itself as responsible for keeping the project safely in the hands of the community, developing it further and securing and positioning Kuma Inu as best as possible.

Origins

The Kuma Whitepaper is a masterpiece that the OG Dev gave the Kuma Community in its early days. It serves as a blueprint and provides Kuma Inu with a vision. It contains explanations for the different tools, applications and protocols that the project should implement to achieve its ultimate goal: true decentralization.

One of the protocols mentioned for implementation is a hiring process managed by the Kuma Community via DAO.

The text is brief but clear, effectively conveying the right message and giving the Kuma Community the autonomy to implement it. Currently, the project lacks sufficient funds to financially compensate team members, but we can establish the structure for the Kuma Community Team and the hiring process.

Every community member’s voice is heard

This structure has officially been adopted by Kuma Inu after community approval.

To make this decision, a community-driven process was followed. The Kuma Community Team presented an initial suggestion of the structure, and community members took part in discussions to develop and shape it. This final version was brought to the Kuma DAO for a definitive vote, where it was approved with 100% of the votes.

Improved security, efficiency and transparency

This structure enhances Kuma in various areas, with the main ones being security, efficiency, and transparency. All this is achieved while staying true to Kuma Inu’s vision of decentralization.

This is made possible by establishing a structure with different departments, each responsible for a specific professional area — and one being in charge of protecting the most sensitive parts of the project -, an open hiring process accessible to everyone, protocols to remove members who act inappropriately, and various methods for sharing updates between departments and with the community.

The community ultimately has the final say on which members are part of each team.

Kuma Community Team — Areas of responsibility

For the proper organization and functioning of Kuma Inu, new departments are created within the Kuma Community Team, each focused on specific professional areas.

Kuma Community Core Team

The Kuma Community Core Team is an institution dedicated to guiding the project and prioritizing what’s better for the community. This department ensures the security of the Kuma ecosystem’s wallets, domains, code, social media accounts, official email addresses, and other sensitive assets.

Focused on maintaining alignment with Kuma Inu’s vision of decentralization, the team continually seeks the most beneficial direction for both the community and the project. The Kuma Community Core Team is committed to finding effective solutions.

Due to the crucial task of the Kuma Community Core Team, the members must be individuals who have already proven to be trustworthy.

Kuma Community Dev Team

The Dev department of the Kuma Community Team is responsible for the ideation and development of new products and the maintenance of current ones, always maintaining a focus on decentralization.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Marketing Team

The Marketing department of the Kuma Community Team is tasked with expanding Kuma’s vision through marketing strategies. This includes tasks such as advertisements, social media posts, trailers, partnerships, etc.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Design Team

The Design department of the Kuma Community Team is in charge of designing the artistic ecosystem of Kuma Inu. This includes designs for advertisements, web page and dApp designs, advertising, social media, etc.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Legality Team

The Legality department of the Kuma Community Team is responsible for protecting the project legally, thus increasing the chances of success and the sustainability of Kuma Inu in the long term. Their tasks include, but aren’t limited to, ensuring the products comply with regulations and protecting the project should legal issues arise.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Moderation Team

The Moderation department of the Kuma Community Team is responsible for maintaining and protecting the official Telegram channels. Likewise, their work also consists of educating and assisting new members.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Love Team

The Love department of the Kuma Community Team has the noble task of managing and supporting all Kuma Inu-related charity activities, whether by creating new ways to help charities or expanding existing ones.

The department has a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator will be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Further responsibilities

The Head Off Administrators of the departments will have regular meetings to exchange ideas, update each other on their developments, and create joint strategies. This will ensure that the tasks of the departments are well-aligned. Additionally, there will be regular meetings between the members of the Kuma Community Core Team and the Head Off Administrators of the departments to provide mutual feedback.

Transparency is important, and the Kuma Community will be kept informed about the project’s progress. To this end, the Kuma Community Core Team and each department will be responsible for generating regular reports that detail advancements and news, and can also include suggestions for new candidates. These reports will be publicly available to all community members.

Areas of responsibility — summary

With the implemented structure, the Kuma Community Team consists of a core group — responsible for ensuring safety and maintaining direction through Kuma Inu’s decentralized vision — and 6 departments, each one specialized in a specific professional field.

Each department will have a Head Off Administrator, although since there are currently departments for which we do not have specialized members of the Kuma Community Core Team, we will start by appointing a member of the Kuma Community Core Team as a temporary Head Off Administrator until a valid candidate is found.

To ensure proper synergy, meetings will be held between the Kuma Community Core Team and the departments, and the Kuma Community will be regularly informed.

Kuma Community Team — Hiring process

The structure for the hiring process outlines the protocol that candidates must follow to volunteer as members of one of the Kuma Community Team departments. The selection process varies slightly depending on whether the candidate is being considered for the Kuma Community Core Team or one of the other teams. It’s as follows:

As can be seen in the diagram, there are two types of selection processes, one for the Kuma Community Core Team and another shared by the different departments.

Kuma Community Core Team

Members of the Kuma Community Core Team have responsibility over very delicate and important tasks for the project, which creates the need to ensure that all of them are trustworthy individuals. For this reason, the new candidates are selected and presented by the current Kuma Community Core Team members, explaining why they have demonstrated alignment with the vision of Kuma Inu, are trustworthy, and how they could help the project.

The process for selecting new members consists of the following stages:

1. Suggestion of the candidate by the Kuma Community Core Team to the Kuma Community
2. A 2-month trial period with evaluation by the existing members of the Kuma Community CoreTeam
3. Assessment by the current members of the Kuma Community Core Team to determine whether the candidate has passed the trial period
4. A Kuma DAO proposal for the community to decide if the candidate should be hired. Step supported by the feedback from the current Kuma Community Core Team members
5. Confirmation or rejection of the position every 6 months by the Kuma Community via a Kuma DAO proposal

Kuma Community Team departments

For the rest of the departments the process is similar, with the difference that every individual is able to present themselves as candidates.

The process for selecting new members consists of the following stages:

1. Presentation and application by interested members to the Head Off Administrator of the department
2. Selection of new trial members by the Head Off Administrator
3. A 2-month trial period with evaluation by the Head Off Administrator
4. Selection by the Head Off Administrator of the trial members who have passed the trial period
5. Kuma DAO proposal for the community to decide which candidates should be hired. Step supported by the feedback from the Head Off Administrator
6. Confirmation or rejection of the position every 6 months by the Kuma Community via a Kuma DAO proposal

To apply as a candidate and thus initiate step 1, you must fill the application form.

Initially, phases 2, 3, and 4 will be carried out alongside the Kuma Community Core Team. Once the department has enough members, the phases will be carried out in collaboration with the current team members.

Given that joining the departments will require knowledge in specific areas, this process allows the Head Off Administrator of the department and the rest of the team to firsthand understand how each candidate works and provide feedback to the community.

Protection protocols

To secure the project, each department has a protection protocol aimed at mitigating the impact of bad actors.

For the Kuma Community Core Team, the protocol is designed by all its members. For the other departments of the Kuma Community Team, the protocol is designed by the Head Off Administrator.

Should it become necessary to initiate the protocol, a Kuma DAO proposal will be created to allow the Kuma Community to decide on the dismissal of the individual/s in question.

Hiring process — summary

There are two types of selection processes, one for the Kuma Community Core Team and another for the departments.

Given the great responsibility of the Kuma Community Core Team, their selection process is designed to increase the project’s security and the quality of its members while giving the final decision to the Kuma Community.

In the case of the Kuma Community Team departments, candidates are able to present themselves to the Head Off Administrator of the group by filling out the application form.

Why is a structured team and hiring process for the Kuma Community Team necessary?

The strength of Kuma Inu lies in its community. Kuma Inu is a fully decentralized and community-driven project where the community takes care of everything: protection and security, finances, development, graphic design, marketing, and so forth. Kuma Inu thrives as a community-powered enterprise. As such, it’s crucial to have the right tools and structure in place to enable community members to collaborate with the project safely and transparently.

Defining a fair and decentralized selection process is vital to ensure candidates are chosen based on their skills and proactivity in the relevant professional area.

Like any company, there are various professional fields to manage. For this reason, having specialized departments is essential. This way, we maintain good organization and focus our efforts on the necessary tasks.

At the Kuma Community Team, we’ve crafted some ideas that we believe could benefit the project. We share them for community debate. The final decision will be made by the community through the power of the Kuma DAO.

Kuma Community Team — Areas of responsibility suggestion

For the proper organization and functioning of Kuma Inu, we suggest creating new departments within the Kuma Community Team, each focused on specific professional areas.

Kuma Community Core Team

The Kuma Community Core Team would be an institution aimed at finding the best paths for the project and the community, always keeping the community at the forefront. The team members would guide the project, protect its sensitive parts, and find solutions.

As decentralized as possible, they would protect the wallets of the Kuma Ecosystem, domain access, web pages, social media accounts, official email addresses, and other similar sensitive parts.

Kuma Community Dev Team

The Dev department of the Kuma Community Team would be responsible for the ideation and development of new products and the maintenance of current ones, always maintaining a focus on decentralization.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Marketing Team

The Marketing department of the Kuma Community Team would be tasked with expanding Kuma’s vision through marketing strategies. This includes tasks such as advertisements, social media posts, trailers, partnerships, etc.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Design Team

The Design department of the Kuma Community Team would be in charge of designing the artistic ecosystem of Kuma Inu. This includes designs for advertisements, web page and dApp designs, advertising, social media, etc.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Legality Team

The Legality department of the Kuma Community Team would be responsible for protecting the project legally, thus increasing the chances of success and the sustainability of Kuma Inu in the long term. Their tasks would include, but not be limited to, ensuring the products comply with regulations and protecting the project should legal issues arise.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Moderation Team

The Moderation department of the Kuma Community Team would be responsible for maintaining and protecting the official Telegram channels. Likewise, their work would also consist of educating and assisting new members.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Kuma Community Love Team

The Love department of the Kuma Community Team would have the noble task of managing and supporting all Kuma Inu-related charity activities, whether by creating new ways to help charities or expanding existing ones.

The department would have a Head Off Administrator in charge of its proper functioning. Initially, this administrator would be a member of the Kuma Community Core Team.

Further responsibilities

The idea would be for each department to take charge of a professional area. However, the tasks of one department should align with those of the others. For this reason, the Head Off Administrators would have regular meetings to exchange ideas, update each other on their developments, and create joint strategies. There would also be regular meetings between the members of the Kuma Community Core Team and the Head Off Administrators of the departments to provide mutual feedback.

Transparency is important, and the Kuma Community should be kept informed about the project’s progress. To this end, the Kuma Community Core Team and each department would be responsible for generating regular reports explaining advancements and news — these could also include suggestions for new candidates. These reports would be publicly available to all community members.

Areas of responsibility — summary

With the structure we propose, the Kuma Community Team would consist of a core group — responsible for ensuring safety and maintaining direction through Kuma Inu’s decentralized vision — and 6 departments specialized in a specific professional field.

Each department should have a Head Off Administrator, although since there are currently departments for which we do not have specialized members of the Kuma Community Core Team, we would start by appointing a member of the Kuma Community Core Team as a temporary Head Off Administrator until a valid candidate is found.

To ensure proper synergy, meetings would be held between the Kuma Community Core Team and the departments, and the Kuma Community would be regularly informed.

Kuma Community Team — Hiring process suggestion

Now that we have defined our suggested structure for the Kuma Community Team, it is time to discuss our suggestion for the hiring process. The selection process would vary slightly depending on whether the candidate is to be chosen to join the Kuma Community Core Team or one of the other teams, and it would be as follows:

As can be seen in the diagram, there are two types of selection processes, one for the Kuma Community Core Team and another shared by the different departments.

Kuma Community Core Team

Members of the Kuma Community Core Team would have responsibility over very delicate and important tasks for the project, which creates the need to ensure that all of them are trustworthy individuals. For this reason, we suggest that new candidates be selected and presented by the current Kuma Community Core Team members, explaining why they have demonstrated alignment with the vision of Kuma Inu, are trustworthy, and how they could help the project.

The process for selecting new members would consist of the following stages:

1. Suggestion of the candidate by the Kuma Community Core Team to the Kuma Community
2. A 2-month trial period with evaluation by the existing members of the Kuma Community CoreTeam
3. Assessment by the current members of the Kuma Community Core Team to determine whether the candidate has passed the trial period
4. A Kuma DAO proposal for the community to decide if the candidate should be hired. Step supported by the feedback from the current Kuma Community Core Team members
5. Confirmation or rejection of the position every 6 months by the Kuma Community via a Kuma DAO proposal

Kuma Community Team departments

For the rest of the departments the process would be similar, with the difference that every individual would be able to present themselves as candidates.

The process for selecting new members would consist of the following stages:

1. Presentation and application by interested members to the Head Off Administrator of the department and the department members
2. Selection of new trial members by the Head Off Administrator
3. A 2-month trial period with evaluation by the Head Off Administrator and the department members
4. Joint selection between the Head Office Administrator and team members on who has passed the trial period
5. Kuma DAO proposal for the community to decide which candidates should be hired. Step supported by the feedback from the Head Off Administrator
6. Confirmation or rejection of the position every 6 months by the Kuma Community via a Kuma DAO proposal

To apply as a candidate and thus initiate step 1, we would develop an application form and make it available to all community members.

Initially, phases 2, 3, and 4 would be carried out alongside the Kuma Community Core Team. Once the department had enough members, the phases would be carried out in collaboration with the current team members.

Given that joining the departments would require knowledge in specific areas, we suggest that the process be in this way so that the Head Off Administrator of the department and the rest of the team could firsthand understand how each candidate works and provide feedback to the community.

We suggest that the Head Off Administrator for each department be selected internally by the department members.

Protection protocols

To secure the project, each department would have a protection protocol aimed at mitigating the impact of bad actors.

For the Kuma Community Core Team, the protocol would be designed by all its members. For the other departments of the Kuma Community Team, the protocol would be designed by the Head Off Administrator.

Should it become necessary to initiate the protocol, a Kuma DAO proposal would be created to allow the Kuma Community to decide on the dismissal of the individual/s in question.

Hiring process — summary

There would be two types of selection processes, one for the Kuma Community Core Team and another for the departments.

Given the great responsibility of the Kuma Community Core Team, their selection process is designed to increase the project’s security and the quality of its members while giving the final decision to the Kuma Community.

In the case of the Kuma Community Team departments, candidates could present themselves to the Head Off Administrator of the group by filling out the application form.

Every Community Member’s Voice Must Be Heard

The Kuma Inu Whitepaper is a very important blueprint that the OG Kuma dev left us. It mentions the vision of Kuma Inu and various goals to be achieved. The community has been following the Whitepaper and has expanded it on some occasions — as has been the case with Kuma SwapX and the dKuma Breeder — thus creating new versions of the document, but always following the original vision of a decentralized and community-driven project.

The first version of the Kuma Inu Whitepaper already mentioned a community-managed hiring process through the Kuma DAO.

The text is brief but clear. It delivers the right message, giving the Kuma Community the freedom to find our own way to carry it out. At this time, the project does not have enough funds to financially compensate team members, but we can design the structure for the Kuma Community Team and the hiring process.

Nothing detailed in this document is set in stone. Praising Kuma Inu’s decentralized vision, we present our suggestions and encourage the entire Kuma Community to take part in finalizing them. All members are invited to suggest new ideas and modify existing ones.

Once the debate concludes, we will create a DAO proposal in the Kuma DAO so that the community can vote on the final version of the Kuma Community Team Structure developed by everyone.

These three years have been quite eventful. The Kuma Community has worked from zero with zero and a blueprint on an ecosystem with decentralized roots. The ecosystem is operational, and we continue to stand firm, looking forward to laying a solid foundation for everything that is to come.

What’s coming? An ecosystem designed to revolutionize the world of decentralized finance. A DeFi ecosystem built and governed by the community and led by the Kuma DEX. The guidelines are set out in the Kuma Whitepaper, and the Kuma community is tirelessly working to achieve all its goals. No matter the challenges that arise, the Kuma Community has shown over these 3 years that it will stay united in the face of any adversity and will continue to work selflessly in the Kuma ecosystem, an ecosystem that rewards effort with freedom.

Kuma knows very well that to make his vision a reality, solid foundations are needed. This is a project designed to turn the obstacle of time into an ally. And it has been chosen by the community!

The official new domain name for Kuma Inu is kumatokens.com, and its decentralized version is kumatokens.eth.

The decentralized process

The new domain selection process kicked off with a brainstorming session led by the community. Following this, the community members carefully preselected a list of potential names. It was crucial for the success of the Kuma DAO proposal that both the legacy and decentralized names of the domains were secured and could be officially used. Keeping this in mind, the community wisely made their preselection. A Kuma DAO proposal was then initiated featuring these preselected domains, empowering community members to cast their votes using their $KUMA tokens to determine the new domain name. After the voting period concluded, it was clear that the community’s most beloved, and thus the new official domain name for the Kuma Inu project is kumatokens.com and kumatokens.eth.

This process has once again highlighted Kuma Inu’s commitment to its decentralized vision and reaffirmed its direction by the community.

Why two domains?

The legacy name (kumatokens.com) is the most commonly used currently and is necessary for current internet browsers to access web pages. Preparing for a decentralized future, the Kuma Inu community has also ensured to have the decentralized name (kumatokens.eth) ready for use as adoption grows.

Kuma Inu is proud to announce the Kuma DEX DAO.

Until now, we’ve had a single DAO, the Kuma DAO. As per the Kuma Inu Whitepaper, we’re introducing the Kuma DEX DAO. Adding the Kuma DEX DAO alongside the Kuma DAO helps us better work together and makes Kuma Inu even more decentralized and community-driven.

What are the differences between both DAOs?

The Kuma DAO voting power is based on $KUMA holdings and its purpose is to vote on development and marketing proposals.

On the other hand, the Kuma DEX DAO voting power is based on $dKUMA holdings and it’s meant to be used to vote on Kuma DEX’s related proposals, like new tokens listings or changing features such as the trading fees.

What can I currently do on the Kuma DEX DAO?

With the Kuma DEX DAO you can already become a delegate, which is a fundamental step in the development of Kuma Inu’s DeFi ecosystem. You’re voting power will be based on your $dKUMA holdings at the moment of becoming a delegate and it will be stored in dKUMA’s smart contract.

The Kuma DEX DAO is still at an early stage and proposals will come later.

What is a delegate?

A Delegate can vote on Kuma DEX DAO proposals. Only holding $dKUMA doesn’t grant the ability to cast votes on the Kuma DEX DAO, one must first become a delegate. Delegates are fearless decentralization guardians who have unleashed $dKUMA’s true power.

By embracing the role of delegates, we show we are ready to govern ourselves.

How do I become a Delegate?

Becoming a delegate is very simple and requires a single on-chain transaction.

1- Go to dexdao.kuma-inu.com

2- Connect your wallet to the website.

Click the “Connect Wallet” button, at the top-right of the page. Choose your favourite wallet on the popup that will appear.

3- Press the “Become a delegate” button.

4- Confirm the transaction on your wallet.

You will be prompted in your wallet with the transaction to confirm. Confirm it to become a delegate.

`5- Enjoy the feeling of taking part in something bigger.

Important reminder: to become a delegate you must be holding your $dKUMA, so it has to be done before staking it in the dKuma Breeder.

Important notes

With the Kuma DEX DAO entering the picture, a small change is going to be made to our current Kuma DAO. The voting power will transition from being based on $dKUMA holdings to being based on $KUMA holdings. It is also important to note that the Kuma DEX DAO operates on-chain, which means usage requires gas fees. However, this approach leverages the full potential of the immutability and permanence inherent in the blockchain, offering a level of security and endurance that makes the gas fees a minor trade-off.

Woof burnt 3.5T $KUMA from the wallet that keeps the Kuma Breeder fees, telling us we were heading in the right direction. The Kuma DEX DAO is the first response to that. Now, we, the whole Kuma Community, must become delegates to confirm that we support decentralization and we can govern ourselves.
