Scanners: See Beyond the Horizon

Beacons are located everywhere, from hidden city locations to rural roadsides you pass daily. Under normal conditions, your detection range is limited to 150 meters. However, equipping a Scanner fundamentally changes your capabilities.

Each Scanner expands your detection radius for a 30-day period, offering a significant advantage in your search:

• Scout Scanner — 1 km range — 50 $CHIRP
• Ranger Scanner — 5 km range — 120 $CHIRP
• Sentinel Scanner — 10 km range — 200 $CHIRP

This enhancement is like upgrading from a flashlight to a floodlight; a wider reach allows you to claim more Beacons and collect more $CHIRP.

Premium Pass: The Key to Elite Rewards

The Kage Store introduces an entirely new opportunity: access to the Premium Pool, the most lucrative prize pool in the game’s history.

Key details include:

• The Premium Pool contains 336,000 $CHIRP in each round.
• A maximum of 1,000 players can share the Premium Pool.
• The Premium Pass is valid for 40 days, equivalent to one full round.

With the Premium Pass, potential earnings can increase to 2,288.36 $CHIRP per round, which is four times the amount possible in the free pool. This provides a direct path to the top tier of Kage rewards for our most dedicated players.

How to Buy in the Kage Store

Acquiring your first item is a straightforward process. Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Platform: Visit app.chirpwireless.io.
2. Log In: Sign in using the email associated with your Kage account.

3. Enter the Store: Select “Kage” from the left-hand menu to view all available items.

4. Acquire $CHIRP Tokens: All store purchases are conducted in $CHIRP. If your balance is insufficient, you can acquire $CHIRP on exchanges such as MEXC, Gate, and KuCoin, or through Cetus DEX and Sui wallets like Slush or Suiet.

5. Select Your Item: Choose the Scanner or Premium Pass you wish to purchase.

6. Confirm the Purchase: Approve the transaction within your wallet.

7. Activate Your Upgrade: Open the Kage application to see your new item in the game interface

How to Qualify

To receive CHIRP rewards in Round 3, players must:

For the first time, automatic CHIRP reward distribution will be implemented — faster, more transparent, and fully on-chain.

If you’re new to crypto, you’ve probably heard terms like DEX, liquidity, and swaps — but what do they actually mean? In this guide, we’ll break it all down and show you how these ideas power token trading across blockchains. We’ll use the Sui ecosystem and tools like Cetus (a decentralized exchange), Slush (a wallet), and CHIRP (a token) to bring it all to life.

What’s a DEX?

A DEX (Decentralized Exchange) is a crypto platform that lets you trade tokens directly from your wallet, without needing a centralized service like Binance or Coinbase. DEXs are powered by smart contracts, which handle the trade automatically. That means you always keep control of your funds.

How Trading Works on a DEX

Most DEXs rely on something called a liquidity pool. This is a pool of tokens locked in a smart contract. Users — called liquidity providers — put in two tokens (like CHIRP and SUI) in equal value, and traders can then swap between them.

The price you get is set by an algorithm (called an Automated Market Maker, or AMM) that adjusts depending on how much of each token is in the pool. The more tokens there are in the pool, the more stable the price will be and the less likely it is that your trade will cause slippage or price impact..

If you’re swapping Token A for Token B, but the pool doesn’t have much of Token B, the system will increase its price to reflect the shortage. This means you’ll get fewer tokens in return, or the trade might fail completely if there isn’t enough to complete it. That’s why liquidity matters.

What Liquidity Means

Liquidity is the ability to trade without big price changes. Deep liquidity means you can buy or sell without affecting the price too much. Low liquidity means trades are harder to execute and can become expensive fast.

For example, if a pool has $100,000 worth of tokens, it can easily handle most swaps. But if the pool only has $1,000, a big trade could drain it quickly and push the price up or down in a big way. That’s why people who provide liquidity earn rewards from trading fees — they make the system work.

Wallets Like Slush Tap into DEX Liquidity

Wallets like Slush make it easy for users to access DEXs without needing to visit a separate site. When you swap tokens inside Slush, it connects to a DEX like Cetus behind the scenes and finds the best available trade.

So if you’re buying a token like CHIRP, Slush handles the routing for you, but the actual trade still uses the liquidity pool on the DEX. The swap happens on-chain, through smart contracts.

Things to Watch Out For

Even with a great interface, trades depend on what’s available in the pool. If there’s not enough liquidity:

• Your trade might not complete
• You might get a worse price (this is called “slippage”)
• The token might not be tradeable at all

Always good to check the token’s liquidity before you swap — and double-check how many tokens you’ll actually receive before signing the transaction.

Final Thoughts

DEXs are a core part of how crypto works without intermediaries. They let anyone trade, anytime, as long as there’s liquidity in the pool. Liquidity providers earn fees, traders get access to tokens, and wallets like Slush make it all feel simple.

Now you know what happens behind the scenes when you press “swap.” Whether you’re on Sui or another blockchain, the rules are the same: no liquidity, no trade. But when it all works, it’s one of the most powerful ideas in crypto.

Current Round Rewards Distribution

Here’s what’s at stake at the end of the current round:

• 2,320,000 CHIRP will be distributed to the top 5,000 players
• 200,000 CHIRP is reserved for the referral program, rewarding those whose invitees were the most active in scanning wireless networks

Reminder: This will be the last round with manual reward distribution.
Starting with Round 3, Kage will transition to automatic payouts, increasing speed, transparency, and accuracy.

That said, please allow a short delay after May 20 as we finalize and double-check the data.

Main Version Update: Phased Launch Begins with Wings of Chronos

In our last update, we shared that the main version of Kage was planned for release on May 20. While that date now marks the start of Round 3, the full main version will not launch all at once.

Instead, we’re starting with its most significant new feature — Wings of Chronos which will be rolled out during Round 3. This phased approach allows us to focus fully on its launch and ensure the best possible experience for players.

Wings of Chronos is more than just a new feature — it’s a major leap in gameplay, bringing augmented reality, real-time rewards, and city-based exploration to Kage for the first time. We’ll keep you informed throughout Round 3 as the feature goes live, and as other elements of the main version are introduced.

With the start of Round 3, Kage will maintain the established round duration:

1 Round = 20 Epochs (40 days).

That means Round 3 starts May 20 and ends 40 days later, with rewards automatically distributed. As players already know, rewards are sourced from the Ecosystem Growth Pool, with 42,000 CHIRP allocated every 2 days. So the total reward pool for Round 3 can be easily calculated.

BUT — with the arrival of Wings of Chronos, players won’t need to wait for the end of the round to earn. Feathers will let you claim crypto rewards instantly when you find them in the real world.

Wings of Chronos: AR Meets Exploration — and You Decide Where It Starts

Wings of Chronos isn’t just a new feature. It’s a new way to earn crypto and interact with the world through the Kage app.

How it works:

• Feathers are virtual objects, hidden across real-world locations
• Each Feather contains $CHIRP or Data Chips
• When you’re near a Feather, Kage notifies you and activates AR mode
• Players can boost their detection radius using scanner upgrades available in the in-game store

Staking Has Arrived

Staking is live, marking a major milestone for the Chirp ecosystem. This feature allows users to lock up tokens in exchange for rewards, with flexible terms, optional auto-reinvestment, and bonus perks for longer commitments. It’s more than just a reward mechanism — it’s a foundation for long-term network health and user participation.

This launch reflects deep collaboration across our blockchain, frontend, and design teams, who worked hard to bring a seamless experience to life. The staking interface is fully integrated, and live on the platform now. Full mechanics are detailed in our documentation, but in short: this is a key step toward sustainable growth for $CHIRP and the ecosystem around it.

Notification Center — A Smarter Way to Stay Alert

The Notification Center is one of the largest features we’ve shipped recently — and it’s built to make sure users never miss a critical update. Whether it’s a system-level alert, a platform update, or a user-specific message, the Notification Center captures it in real time and organizes it by priority.

Users can now filter messages by severity and date, mark items as read, and delete old entries — all within a streamlined, intuitive UI. The development here ran deep, touching backend infrastructure, design components, and interface logic to make notifications actionable and unobtrusive. It’s a significant upgrade in how users interact with the Chirp platform.

As this feature rolled out, our team has continued expanding and testing support for new IoT devices — making sure Chirp’s notification and monitoring stack works reliably across a growing variety of environments and sensors.

Rules Engine MVP — Automation Begins

We’ve also launched the first version of the Rules Engine, a major leap toward automating IoT operations. This tool allows users to set up simple, condition-based actions tied to device data. Whether it’s triggering alerts or modifying system behavior, the Rules Engine helps turn device inputs into real-time responses.

This MVP release lays the groundwork for a much larger framework. Behind the scenes, our engineering team is already working on new rule types, condition logic, and expanded device compatibility. As with the Notification Center, this launch goes hand-in-hand with our broader efforts to onboard and test additional IoT hardware across the platform.

Kage Updates — Preparing for the Next Chapter

A lot is happening within Kage as well. Our game and systems teams are preparing for the conclusion of the current round, planning reward payouts, and finalizing details for the upcoming feature release: Wings of Chronos.
