Achievements in gaming deserve recognition, and that’s exactly what our new reward system offers. For every five consecutive wins in CS2 matchmaking games, you will win 250 Diamonds (platform credits) that you can convert into wonderful and shiny Skins.

Just remember that whenever you achieve a victory you have 48 hours to make a new game. If you don’t do so, there is a reset and your wins return to 0.

3. ELO Rankings: Measure Your Progress

ELO Rankings are here to give you an objective measure of your gaming skills. 4. Skins Protocol Anti-Cheat: Your Gateway to a level playing field

Skins Protocol Anti-Cheat is now mandatory: all players will now need to use the Anti-Cheat in order to access Skins Protocol CS2 Matchmaking and CS2 Tournaments. This will allow Skins Protocol client to catch both cheaters and multi-accounts among newly registered players on the platform. The Client will detect a number of software and hardware changes that influence the level playing field we want to provide and you want to enjoy.

5. Easier onboarding with Steam registration

We have reduced significantly the time new gamers take from registration to play a game by allowing them to register with their Steam account.

6. UI Focused on You

Your gaming experience should be as unique as you are, and Skins Protocol's revamped UX/UI does just that. Gam3Swap is opened for $XED deposits

Gam3Swap is already live on Skins ProtocolPlatform.

Skins Protocol and the Gam3Stakers have already provided the initial liquidity to the pool.

The Game Miners stake of 400 $XED was converted into 1600DMD and 200 $XED and added to the liquidity pool. It was considered an initial rate of 0.08$ for $XED based on Uniswap v2 rate on May5th at 24.00 UTC.

From now on, $XED deposits are open only on the Ethereum network, which is the only network supported by the third-party regulated custodian.

Conversion, Trading and Add/Remove Liquidity features will be opened at 8pm UTC.

One of the goals of Skins Protocol 2.0 is to ensure web2 natives can enjoy their competitive gaming experience before they even consider bridging to the web3 world. Diamonds, the new soft token, allow gamers to enjoy rewards from competitions in a centralized environment with easy conversion to Playstation, Steam, Netflix, Nike and other IRL items and web2 rewards they know very well… but Gam3swap is the tool that help them convert their hard-earned Diamonds to web3 items!

How?

Gam3swap, allows you to easily trade your hard-earned DIAMONDS for the $XED tokens, or vice versa.

II. Explain it me like I am playing a RPG

Imagine a busy in-game marketplace, where players can exchange valuable tokens just like swapping items such as resources or weapons in your favorite MMORPG.

In Gam3Swap, you can easily trade your hard-earned DIAMONDs for the elusive XED tokens, or vice versa, without having to search for a trading partner or negotiate over prices, as you would in a traditional player-to-player market.

Our NPC (Non Playable Character) shopkeeper, “SwapMaster,” serves as the central figure of Gam3Swap. SwapMaster is always ready to facilitate your trades, using a dynamic price formula based on the number of tokens available in the market (aka liquidity pool). The more gamers trade, the more the price adapts to maintain a balanced market, just like the shopkeeper updating item prices in your favorite game world.

As a bonus, you can even join our “Gam3Staker’’ program, where you contribute XED and DIAMOND tokens to the liquidity pool and receive DMD/XED tokens in return. It’s like lending items to the shopkeeper to grow their inventory and being rewarded with an exclusive item for your contribution that you can redeem later on and earn a share of the fees earned by the shopkeeper.

III. The XED, DIAMOND and DMD/XED Tokens

There are 3 different tokens that are an integral part of how Gam3Swap works. So let’s explore each one:

• DIAMOND is a soft token, meaning it can only be used in Skins Protocol platform. You can earn it through participation in gaming competitions and other activities without the hassle of needing a non-custodial wallet, private keys or/and without exposure to volatility. You can use it to enter paid competitions, to buy gift cards on the marketplace, to convert it to $XED and to provide liquidity to Gam3Swap in conjunction with $XED and become a Gam3Staker;
• XED is your entry door to Skins Protocol ecosystem and it can only be purchased in a centralized exchange, a decentralized exchange or on Gam3Swap by converting Diamonds. XED is your pass to the web3 gaming world and to everything new that is being built on Skins Protocol Ecosystem;
• XED/DMD is a Liquidity Pool token that represents your share of the liquidity pool of XED and DIAMOND on Gam3Swap.The liquidity pool is what facilitates the trading between XED and DIAMOND. When you contribute XED and DIAMOND to the liquidity pool, you receive liquidity pool tokens in return. These tokens serve as proof of your contribution and can be redeemed later to reclaim your share of the tokens in the pool, along with fees earned for providing liquidity. 1.5% of all the fees generated on Gam3Swap goes to the Liquidity Provider;

IV. Understanding Centralized AMMs

• Gam3Swap is what is commonly known as an Automated Market Maker (AMM) which is a platform that uses algorithms and liquidity pools to facilitate token exchanges without traditional order books. Price determination relies on a formula considering the assets’ ratio in the pool. Our formula is:

XED pool size * DIAMOND pool size = constant_product

• AMMs can experience slippage when asset prices change significantly during a trade due to large orders or low liquidity. Gam3Swap is a centralized AMM to offer better control, faster transactions, and enhanced security to web2 natives and moreover to help gamers understand some of the web3 primitives and contribute to help them bridge to web3 native products, namely Decentralized exchanges.

V. Liquidity Provision and DMD/XED Tokens

Liquidity provision is crucial for the smooth functioning of Gam3Swap or any AMM, as it ensures that users can easily execute trades at a fair market price. It reduces price volatility, enhances market efficiency, and promotes confidence in the trading ecosystem. Everyone can become a liquidity provider, and get DMD/XED Liquidity Pool tokens by contributing both XED and DIAMOND tokens to the platform’s liquidity pool. DMD/XED tokens represent your share of the pool and the associated rewards. Additionally, you may be able in the future to multiply your gaming earnings and participate in exclusive competitions, platform features and benefits, further enhancing the value of holding Liquidity Pool Tokens.

Providing liquidity comes with risks and rewards. The rewards include earning a share of the transaction fees from Gam3Swap. However, risks involve potential impermanent loss, which occurs when the price ratio of the tokens in the pool changes compared to when you initially provided liquidity. We provide a link where you can get more information.

VI. Roadmap for Launch

Today we are announcing for the first time Gam3Swap and we are counting on your feedback. There will be 3 phases for the Launch:

1. Community consultation: from today until the 30th April we will be on Discord and Telegram to clear any doubts and questions that will naturally arise.

2. Initial Liquidity for Gam3Stakers: From 28th April until 7th May, only Game Miners will be able to convert their 400 $XED into DMD/XED straight away at a fixed price to be defined on 5th May at 24h UTC based on $XED price on Uniswap v2. Moreover, to celebrate the fact that Game Miners have supported $XED since the beginning, they will get a 10% boost in earnings on all the eligible competitions (both in DIAMONDS and USDT)

3. Start trading of Gam3Swap: On 8th May, Gam3Swap will open its doors allowing anyone registered on Skins Protocol to trade the pair DMD/XEDand add liquidity.

VII. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will the Diamonds value of products in the Marketplace change?

The gift cards on the Marketplace are provided by a third-party provider so there could be some small changes based on currency fluctuations and on the fees charged.

Can I convert XED into other currencies and Withdraw?

Currently you can only convert XED to DIAMOND and vice-versa. You can withdraw your XED in Ethereum network at any time for a non-custodial wallet or custodial wallet. We will be working with our custodian provider to ensure more blockchains and potentially new coins.

Can I convert Diamonds to USDT or only XED?

Only $XED. However, if you withdraw XED you can then convert it to USDT on any centralized or decentralized exchange that supports $XED.

Can I transfer Diamonds to a friend?

No. Diamonds are non-transferable.

What are the benefits for $XED holders?

$XED holders will get a new use case which is the possibility of indirectly converting their $XED to Gaming gear, Playstation Store credits, Steam credits, Nike shoes or even fuel in some countries. Additionally, by combining $XED with DIAMONDS and adding liquidity to Gam3Swap, whenever someone trades, 1.5% fee will be distributed proportionally to you. The team is also working on additional perks. This is just another step in the evolution of $XED which is planned to evolve fast during 2023.

How will the Game Mining work on Skins Protocol 2.0?

Game mining will be discontinued as it exists but Game Miners can become Gam3 Stakers and besides earning 1.5% of the fees on Gam3Swap, they will get a 10% boost on all the earnings they get in Skins Protocol Platform’s competitions.

Why isn’t XED the main token in the platform and Diamonds took place?

$XED is an ERC20 token that lives on the blockchain and can be tradable by anyone which has immense use cases and potential but also exposes it to huge volatile fluctuations of value which could make it difficult the perceived value to trade it for other gaming items. With Diamond we give the option to the gamers: the can either keep the Diamonds that offer a more stable value when used in the marketplace or they can keep in $XED.

What are Gam3Swap fees and how are they charged and distributed?

Gam3swap charges 3% on every transaction with 1.5% going to Skins Protocol and 1.5% going to all liquidity providers and added to the pool. When you remove the liquidity you will also get all the fees.

Diamonds

Crypto is no longer the only game in town. We’re introducing a new soft token called Diamonds, making it easier for you to convert your earnings into credits on Steam, Playstation or XBOX, gaming gear and real-life goodies. These items’s availability will vary based on your country — there are even some countries where you can exchange for fuel or Nike sneakers. Talk about Gaming getting you far…

Diamonds are the soft token of the platform so if you are a gamer with no interest in crypto whatsoever, there will be no more hassle with wallets, exchanges, and private keys. But if you are interested in crypto we’re preparing some awesome new use cases for Diamonds that will blow your mind (maybe something related to XED…)

All the USDX in your account will be converted to Diamonds at a rate of 1:100 to allow you to enter Diamond competitions, exchange for awesome gaming gear, gaming credits in other platforms and other IRL items in our marketplace and everything we are building around Diamonds.

Don’t forget: Diamond rewards will be doubled for the first 15 days of competitions, starting on the 15th April and ending on the 29th April. Also, if you have been lucky enough to support the community that gained the Tournament Organizers’s contest you will be doubling your Diamond rewards not for 15 days, but for 30 days.The winner will be announced on Monday.

Stable Currency with USDT

To make things even better, we’ve partnered with a licensed custodial partner to offer competitions in USDT, a stable currency. Plus, we’ve teamed up with a Fiat on-ramp provider, so you can deposit with your local currency using debit cards.

We want everyone to have a chance to join the fun, regardless of their experience with cryptocurrencies, so now we have Diamonds that can’t be purchased but only earned in competitions and we have USDT for the ones that want to step up their game and participate in competitions with prizes in USDT. Skins Protocol has been on a wild ride since its launch in December 2020. Infrastructure for Competition customization

This allows each gaming community to customize competitions (tournaments, ladders, quests, and more) to suit their specific needs and preferences. This will allow communities to tailor the rules, format, prize pools, sponsors positioning, integrations and other details of their competitions to create the best possible experience for their members. With these features, communities will have greater control over the competitions they host, enabling them to create unique and engaging experiences for their members.

Game abstraction

The tools released will allow communities to create competitions for any game — mobile, PC, console, web2, web3, etc. This will give equality of opportunities for any community and game to be onboarded on Skins Protocol.

Community Building

Focus on onboarding gaming communities instead of a gamer by gamer approach. This will allow us to shift investment from performance ads in Facebook, Google and other platforms that capture the whole value and shift that budget to prize pools for communities’ tournaments where that value goes directly to the gamers. This will also help us get closer to groups of gamers in order to build more features that meet their requirements.

Business Development

We will be focusing on a B2B offering. Clubs, leagues and brands are losing their ties to younger generations that love gaming, while on the other side, gaming communities struggle to find partners that help fund their competitions and experiences. Joining the HYPE GVA 3.0 Accelerator program will be a major enabler in 2023 to pitch our products to +1450 clubs, leagues and brands, counting names such as PSG and Manchester United.

New Economy

Upgrade the $XED token utility within our competitive gaming platform. First, we will create new drains, sources and converters allowing a broader use of $XED for all stakeholders and use it as the first step to access digital property rights. Secondly, we are working to make it more user-friendly and lower the barriers to use $XED, as it would almost feel invisible.

Professional Esports tooling

Focus on onboarding more CS:GO organizations for the private alpha while adding new features to turn raw esports data into powerful & transparent visual tools to evaluate players’ and team’s performance and automate training processes with data-driven insights that will help any team perform at full potential.

Metagames

Described as games beyond games. We are focusing on using blockchain to unlock value in a number of peripheral areas surrounding skill-based games, from sponsorships, crowdfunding, fantasy, cosmetic items, etc. After the tooling for organizers, esports organizations and gamers is polished, tokenization of metagames will be stage 2. We are creating the right environment for Metagames development to start during 2023.

The platform updates will be released in seasons to allow for more significant updates in features, competitions available/tournament organizers onboarded, rebalances in the economy, and anything that will improve the competitive experience. This way, both the gaming community and our development team can better manage technological shifts.

In this article, we will take a closer look at our developments in 2022, examining our performance against a challenging Roadmap and uncertain environment. We will analyze the key factors that have contributed to its success and consider what lessons can be learned from this past year in order to navigate these challenging times full of new opportunities for the web3 gaming industry.

Only through a thoughtful, sincere and deep auto-analysis can a project develop the proper and adequate tools to face challenges and further grow and develop, so this is the main aim of this article. To share this reflection with the Skins Protocol Community.

A new Interface

One of the goals established for 2022 was to establish a new interface in the Skins Protocol Platform. This objective has been fully implemented, and the new design allowed our users to enter competitions faster and smoother as well as a better experience to earn digital asset prizes.

Lower barriers to earn

In 2022, Skins Protocol established a desire that converted into a plan to lower barriers to earn on the platform. We are glad to announce that this plan has fully been implemented. A risk-based approach for KYC and free daily ladders were the two features that most contributed to our improvements. The free daily ladders were the most successful competitions for this year. Free daily ladders are key to drive adoption of web3 gaming as we transfer marketing budgets that would typically go to social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook and now go directly to gamer’s wallets.

Soldiers Society DAO & Game

Unfortunately, we were forced to abandon the project as the sales of the Soldiers collection didn’t achieve the pre-defined threshold to create a DAO and build a game — more here. Sadly, game development is not a part of our competences, so we wouldn’t be able to carry this out on our own, in-house, needing a game studio partnership or additional hefty funds to carry out what we had set out to. We will continue to look for other opportunities for growth and success for the Soldiers within Skins Protocol ecosystem.

Launchpad Alpha: XPAD

After organizing a Web3 Gaming Hackathon in the beginning of 2022 it became pretty clear that web3 game developers were in need of tools to bootstrap their games and access a community of gamers that can provide initial feedback and be part of their journey. We were confident that a launchpad focused on competitive gaming was sufficient but as we chatted with more and more developers we have realized that game developers need much more than that. That’s why XPAD focused first on creating safe environments where developers can test their games, secondly craft competitions to help build their competitive environment and, more than anything, help them build a community, and only in third place launch their digital assets. The first game launched was Crypto Bird and we got extremely valuable lessons from this launch. We are also happy that we have created a new dedicated platform web3 gaming where you can find new content, research and web3 competitions.

Mobile Gaming

The goal to bring mobile gaming into Skins Protocol is partly completed. We have launched Crypto Bird as a desktop game that is mobile responsive, and this worked as a first experiment in the mobile gaming ecosystem. The plan is to bring massively played mobile games in 2023.

Skins Protocol Live

It feels very good to say that the goal to bring gaming entertainment and Web3 gaming content to our community was fully implemented. We have brought Skilar, DZking, Thais, Maris, and they, as your content creators, brought us a range of activities ranging from playing games, testing new web3 games, entering competitions and even tattooing live 👀. The content produced is to be kept up in 2023.

Stream2Earn

Implemented. In all of our daily ladders we introduced the option for gamers to connect their Twitch account and be able to stream their gaming sessions to the remaining community earning additional XP. On top of this we made an experiment on XPAD, called Vote2Earn. The goal of Vote2Earn was to crowdsource the gamers’ community knowledge to choose the best games to be supported by XPAD, either through content creation, competitions development or digital assets launch, and reward them for being part of this journey.

Multi Asset prizes

The challenge we took on, having multi-asset prizes, is on the way to being coquested. The first experiments have been conducted. During 2022 we decided to make some experiments in terms of having competitions with CS:GO skins, NFTs and even a more diversified source of tokens. The Crypto Bird was particularly relevant to try different prize pools as we have partnered with other entities to run branded ladders. These entities contributed to the prize pool with their own tokens and NFT collections. We don’t want to spoil the surprises, but next year we would like to revamp the economy and that will take into account the learnings from these experiences.

Esports assistant

The Roadmap of 2022 had the intention of developing an Esports assistant.This is checkers as implemented. This product was the one that required the biggest slice of energy from the development team. They were heads down building the missing piece for every esports team that wants to perform at the highest level and bring objectivity to their game analysis. We are happy to share that it is already in alpha mode, being battle-tested by some professional CS:GO teams, which has helped immensely in receiving feedback and polishing the product. Although we haven’t been very vocal about this project, this is one that we truly believe to have the ingredients to be a piece of cutting edge technology for innovative esports organizations.

Revolution League

After the success of the Revolution Tournament, we wanted to bring a new recurring format in 2022. Although we haven’t had enough hands to put this competition together we hope that 2023 will bring new competition formats in partnership with Tournament Organisers that will blow your mind.

In a nutshell

In drawing to a close, 2022 was nothing short of a challenging year, not only for Skins Protocol, but also for the globe we inhabit, and inevitably for the global economy.

However, what makes the difference between sink or swim in this kind of adversities is the Darwinian ability to adapt. The capability to look at adversity as an opportunity, the perspective to look at an obstacle as a potential ladder is what distinguishes good from great.

As we enter a recession, we have to remember that Gaming is counter cyclical which means that people prefer to save more on real life entertainment in exchange for increasing digital consumables and time playing games and we will be here to offer them high quality entertainment. We will be here to constantly exceed and deliver on our mission to make gamers have fun and achieve economic freedom.

The Crypto Bird private ladder NFT Blues

Just before restaurants and offices get filled with Christmas Parties, (some tamer, some wilder), it was time for our very own Web3 game host to entertain a little party once more.

The Crypto Bird knows how to throw a party and we couldn’t be more happy about that!

This time the guests were the NFT Blues, and with 65 unique players, 1.7K games played, and a total prize distribution of $250, honestly we are just relieved they didn’t bring the house down!

The Token 2049 Conference

This year, in His Majesty’s capital, London, took place a very special event, the Token 2049 Conference, where the goal was Meeting the Leading Voices in Crypto. The Double or Nothing format is now available for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It was already available for DOTA2 and COD, and now it’s the CS:GO crew time.

The Madeira Blockchain Conference

Exeedme was represented at the Madeira Blockchain Conference. Joana Barros, our Chief Community Officer was there for a roundtable on the topic of Unlocking E-games Potential with Blockchain.

Once Upon a Time, a Web3 Game…

The Crypto Bird was not just the first Web3 to be launched by Exeedme, it was also the very first Videogame to arise under the XPAD.

However, today isn’t about the Crypto Bird, it’s about the latter. The XPAD might have been around, but now it’s official. Make no mistake, the XPAD has a home.

New Goals on the Rise

So, the Exeedme team decided it was about time to get to work, give the house a little bit of a refreshment, and make room for new challenges. And so, that is exactly why the XPAD is getting its own platform, to give the front and centre stage to the very best Projects in Web3 Gaming, to enrich the Web3 Ecosystem and the Exeedme Community.

The XPAD, for a richer Web3 Gaming Environment

This project is here, among others, to position Exeedme as an important resource in the matter of Web3 Gaming, meaning: a place where you can go for game discovery, and web3 gaming knowledge and education.

The XPAD aims to support projects and place them in a position to get in touch with a Community of over 90 000 gamers. We are here to create connections that can enrich everyone involved.

We are still accepting new applications for the XPAD. This launchpad is always open to support new projects that have the creativity and will to bring the best to Gamers.

As we are speaking, the XPAD will now develop in three different phases. At the moment we are in phase one but let’s talk it through just a little. Or maybe a lot!

The Content Creation & Distribution

For the XPAD team content is king but distribution is the queen — so we will create the best content but will also make sure it gets to the right audience. The ecosystem is in need of more curated web3 content. Our team will be releasing and creating themed articles, reviews, reports and videos regularly in order to make sure that everyone has access to reliable information about web3 gaming. No matter if you are a gamer, an investor or just curious, we deliver for you.

The Game Reviews are lighter reviews of the best games on the web3 space targeted at gamers. A straightforward article including everything you need to know about a game that could interest you. Starting with a quick bio and info about the gameplay, how to start playing, and ending with an unbiased rating from our team.

The Game Research Reports are tailored at web3 game investors, current or future. These extended analysis will cover the essentials and give a 360º view about a game from gameplay to traction and business model. The team gathers reliable information about the quality of game, their business model & tokenomics, investors & partners, on-chain & off-chain data, industry overview & competitors, team and community. We don’t provide financial advice.

The Monthly Reports are intended to analyse the most relevant happenings in web3 gaming from that month. It is not meant to capture every news but alternatively to digest the most relevant ones and analyse its impacts critically.

The Videos follow the Game Reviews in order for each gamer to quickly grasp the gameplay of a new game before trying it.

Web3 competitions

The XPAD will work as the first point of contact with web3 games for Exeedme. After analysing the traction and interest from the gamer’s community we will explore the competitive potential of it. Using the competitive layer provided by Exeedme, web3 games are able to organise and create the best crafted competitions to access a new community in their game category. Starting in casual competitions and ending into professional tournaments, we offer a foolproof system to cater the competitive spirit and grow games into Esports.

Launchpad

This is the last part of the funnel, for game developers that have gathered the interest from our audience, successfully crafted competitions on Exeedme and are now on a path to create an esports strategy. The launchpad, will allow initial testers, web3 investors, Esports organisations to access high quality games through shared property rights (NFTs and Tokens). The launchpad will help games that have shown initial traction, capacity to entertain gamers and competitive elements to launch their digital assets. This will help the continuous development of the games and its competitive environment to ultimately grow these games into Esports.

Almost like all of us, the Exeedme Team and Community were in a car ride, a really big car for all of us, for a really fun roadtrip!

Our first destination is to sit down with a friend, as we settle the Elixir and Exeedme Partnership. And how good did it feel to travel just to see a friend and solidify this friendship, especially when this friendship benefits our community? With our joint knowledge on Web3, it’s not just this moment that has been amazing, the future is also bright for all of us!

Sudamerica Tournament

Next on our adventure, our journey together took us on a bigger drive. A drive to a different landscape, maybe a warmer one, and for some of us, with a different one, as we had our very first South American Tournament for DOTA 2.

This amazing adventure counted with 90 participants, and of those, almost half of them were joining Exeedme for the very first time. For those, bienvenidos, we hope you have fun with us from now on!

The Fnac Partnership.

Folks, some travels are a one-stop affair. We decide to go somewhere, off we go, we might stop for gas and snacks, we might enjoy the landscape on the way, but it’s a relatively linear journey. One destination, some stops, and that’s it.

And a lot of you did. And that is why, if you went to the Fnac Stores that had the Crypto Bird Arcade Machines or played our Daily Ladders between 21 and 23 of October, you helped us donate $463.51 to the Non-Governmental Organisation No Bully that works to prevent and fight bullying.

So it is that we were off to new destinations, destinations that perhaps can fit more of our friends at the table, including the members of our community that want to hear from us, but don’t have the chance to go to Fnac Stores.

The Halloween Ladders

Well, it is spooky season, after all. So how else could we have ended this beautiful journey?

We just couldn’t stop ourselves from worrying about things that go bump in the night, ghouls, goblins and other scary things. So this year we just figured it would be better to stay in. After all this travelling, surely it feels nice to Play&Earn for a while.
