Why the Change?

Since the game is on the Flow blockchain, and can only be accessed via a Blocto wallet, by following the steps below, you’ll let us know that you are the owner of a wallet the holds any of the 24* Legendary Season 7 cars that’s on the BSC chain, then we can send you the Legendary Season 9 cars to your Blocto wallet.

The steps

Step 2: At the left bottom corner of the page, click “ADD A WALLET”

Select the wallet(s) that owns a Season 7 Legendary car NFT.

If the connected wallet(s) contains any Season 7 Legendary, then on the page you will see a checkmark next to the ‘ALLOWLIST 1’, that means you are eligible to claim.

Step 3:

Take a screenshot / photo of this page, which shows the wallet addresses that you’ve connected with, and send an email to admin@formulaehighvoltage.com, containing the following:

- Tell us which of the Season 7 Legendary NFT you own.

Step 4:
Once we’ve received your email, we will start verifying the ownership of these NFT, once confirmed, we will then send the corresponding Season 9 Legendary to the Blocto wallet that you’ve connected to our website.

It will take 1~2 business days for us to send the Season 9 Legendary NFT to you.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Click Join in the front page.

This will take you to a page that allows you to check what Allowlists you have access to.

Allowlist availability depends on three factors:

• Holding specific REVV Motorsport assets (see the full list here)
• Holding community passes
• Being whitelisted

As some of these items are on different chain, you can also connect your MetaMask or Binance wallets in the next step.

Step 3:

Click the wallet icon to connect and sign a transaction using MetaMask or Binance extensions. This is only relevant if you hold any of the Allowlist items in one of these wallets.

Once done you will see the Allowlists associated with your wallet. If you did not make it into any of the Allowlists, you can still join the Open Sale 24 hours later! If you think there has been a mistake and you should be on a list or have questions, head to Discord and ask our team for help!

Step 4:

Click Sale - It’s time to shop some crates!

Step 5:

Select the sale you would like to participate in and scroll down to select your crates.

Step 6:

Select items you would like to purchase and add to cart.

NOTE: For Team Crates you will be able to select the official team you would like to receive your guaranteed (min Epic) car or a driver from. Each team supply is limited so act fast to get your favourites!

Once you have selected all the crates you would like to buy, click the shopping cart icon on the bottom right.

I am not appearing on the Allowlist, what should I do?

Please raise your issue in the REVV Discord #fehv-support and have the following information available:

• Your Formula E: High Voltage account number, found on the top right hand corner of the FEHV website once connected.
• Your Polygon or Binance wallet address (if applicable)
• The Allowlist criteria that you met: eg. Epic Race Pass, Gleam Competition (please be specific and provide links to entry form)

What are the benefits of being on the Allowlist?

• You will be able to access sale 24h before the Open Sale
• Discounted crate prices
• Better drop rates for Official Licensed NFT’s (Epic and Legendary) and foiled assets

I have REVV but its not on the FLOW. Can I use it in the sale?

Yes, however you will need to send the token to the FLOW chain to be used in the sale or for game entry fees. You can do it using the BloctoSwap here.

Warm up those tires! Formula E: High Voltage game is going to launch on 19 October 2023 11 am (UTC) and we will jump straight into racing action with a special set of 4 week-long tournaments. Whether you’re a skilled gamer or a long time fan of Formula E, this event is one you would not want to miss, setting a milestone as the first ever virtual Formula E race!

You will also have the opportunity to build a winning team and seize the moment to own some exclusive digital collectibles, including drivers and cars from your favorite teams, while testing your skills against other racers!

Battle Mode & Tournaments: What to expect?

Formula E: High Voltage game play will kick off with Battle Mode in 4-weeks of race tournaments with over a 1 Million REVV set prize pool, as well as an additional 1,5 Million REVV Bonus Pool that will be distributed across different exciting activities during the tournament! Battles will run constantly for 8 hours each (updated from 1 hour based on community feedback) and 3 battles will be available simultaneously, with 11 racing spots available in each of the battles. If Battle slots are all filled in, new Battles will automatically open. With just 25 REVV tokens to enter per battle, you’ll be racing against the timer and fellow players for glory and rewards.

The top 6 victors of every battle will not only claim the ultimate bragging rights but will also walk away with REVV tokens! 90% of all the Battle Mode tournament fees will go back to the players.

The good news doesn’t end there - you will be able to earn points in each of the battles and for those who consistently top the leaderboards, there will be an additional layer of weekly rewards in the form of REVV and exclusive NFTs based on your points accumulation.

In this sale you will be able to buy crates containing both cars and drivers, some of which will hold official Formula E collectibles! Here is the need to know details on how to fill up your garage with top of the line drivers and cars.

You will be able to purchase crates using REVV Token. Other payment methods may be added closer to the sale.

Each car and driver in Formula E: High Voltage is a digital asset that possesses a specific kind of rarity (common, rare, epic, legendary — including a few very rare foiled assets per rarity tier) with a special skill drawn from a pool of over 100 such skills!

When buying a Team Crate, you will also be able to choose the team you would like to receive your minimum guaranteed 1 x Epic tier car or driver from. But remember, team items are capped, so act fast to secure item from your favourite team!

How do I get REVV?

You will be able to purchase REVV directly via credit card at the Formula E: High Voltage website. Just connect your account and click your wallet, then select Purchase REVV and follow the instructions.

Allowlist details

You may have noticed that date, prices and drop rates for the sale vary depending on Allowlists you are in. For those who are not familiar with the Allowlist concept, this is our way to reward community members who have supported the project in various ways.

To be in an Allowlist you will need to either join one of our community campaigns leading up to the sale, or to have held one of the items listed below on 04.10.2023, which is the date when our team took a snapshot of all the accounts holding them and whitelist those in possession of the said items.

Once you enter the sale you will have an option to connect your Formula E: High Voltage account and additional wallets like MetaMask, and if your wallet that has been whitelisted you will automatically see the discounted price based on the Allowlist you are in.

Why does car or driver rarity matter

All in game items will have a rarity that defines the abilities available for that item. There are 4 different base rarities available in the game: Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Additionally, if your asset is Foiled it will have even higher attributes on each aspect such as top speed, acceleration, braking, energy consumption, responsiveness and energy regeneration.

Below you will find the general distribution of the rarities across all the in-game car and driver assets, as well as attribute points for each asset rarity:

Higher rarity items are generally more powerful, but also rarer and therefore harder to obtain, foiled assets being the most scarce ones. Also each car and driver comes with six gameplay attributes that control the in-game behaviour.

What about Skills?

There will be 100+ Skills available at game launch and more will be added in the future. Basically these are unique features that can set your team apart and will help your racing performance when utilized in the right way during the race. Each driver or car in Formula E: High Voltage comes with a Skill, from Defending to Energy Regeneration or abilities like being able to affect the Weather. You can activate these skills during the race via click of a button.

It is also not playable in Incognito/InPrivate browsing mode.

What is Formula E: High Voltage?

In Formula E: High Voltage, you take a role of a Team Manager. You will manage the 2 car/driver pairings through the course of the race with an aim to earn maximum combined points.

What do I need to Play?

You’ll need 2x Drivers and 2x Cars to play, which are both provided for FREE when you sign up to the game and claim them. Further in game items will be available for purchase later on.

What is Battle Mode?

Battle Mode allows a group of players to compete against 10 other AI Teams in a race, competing for racing points.

Any Players that join a ‘room’(Race) will compete against an identical set of AI opponents for who can collect the most points within period (during the Early Access this may vary, currently 6 hours per Battle). During Early Access you can join for free!

If you’ve paid the entry fee once, you can race as many times as you like during the duration of that Battle to improve your ranking!

A player can start a race whenever they choose. However, a minimum of 6 players is required to compete in the battle to qualify for rewards. If this requirement is not met by the end of the allotted time, all entrance fees will be returned, and no prizes will be given out.

Gameplay Basics

The primary objective of the race is to manage both driver/car pairings in your team to achieve the highest total points across the other 10 Teams.

The race will be over the moment when all cars cross the finish line.

How are points calculated?

Race Points:

Pole Position: The driver who achieves pole position in qualifying is awarded an extra 2 points.

Fastest Lap: The driver who sets the fastest lap during the race receives an extra 2 points.

Penalties — Attack Mode Activation: Drivers are required to activate Attack Mode a specific number of times during a race. This is specified in the race details screen. Failure to do so results in a loss of points.

• 2 points are taken away from players if they finish the race with ATK Mode engagements remaining.
• 1 point is taken away from players if they cross the finish line with an active speed boost provided by the ATK mode

Race Mode

Race mode refers to the racing mode that the car will set to which directly impacts:

• Speed
• Energy Consumption
• Overtake Attempts
• Braking

The table below outlines the available modes and how your decision will impact your Team.

Energy Management

Energy management is one of the key to winning in Formula E. When the car’s energy reaches 0, the performance of your car will be dramatically reduced.

Battery Regenerate

Battery Regeneration mode provides the ability to increase the battery level of the vehicle. If your car runs out of battery, Conservative Mode will be automatically selected, which limits your play strategy in a race.

To engage the Battery Regenerate function, press the Regen button whilst in the Available state as show below:

When engaged:

• The car will automatically enter conservative race mode.
• Once the players enter the battery regen state they won’t be able to cancel it and will remain until the regen mode duration set ends.
• Once complete, there is a cooldown period where the player cannot engage the battery regenerate mode until cooldown is complete. This is indicated with a grey sweeping clock hand.

Attack Mode

Attack mode is available using similar logic and rules as seen in Formula E, see this Official Formula E short video for more details.

Attack mode is an unique motorsport feature to Formula E where drivers can unlock additional power for a limited amount of time. Attack mode provides players the ability to reach higher speeds and increased chance of performing a successful overtake.

Keep in mind there’s a strategic layer in deciding whether or not to activate your Attack Mode, as to collect the Attack Mode boost, you will usually have to drive to a slower line which you might lose a position or two!

Activation Zone

Activation Zones are represented by the short segments of track highlighted by neon arrows. They are located off the racing line so track time is lost by attempting to activate Attack Mode.

To activate Attack Mode:

• Press the ACTIVATE button before approaching the Activation Zone.
• Pass through the Activation Zone with all 4 wheels passing over the entry and exit points of the activation zone. Failure to do this will result in Attack Mode not being available.

• If a Player successfully passes through an Activation Zone, the Attack Mode will be armed and the button will update to DEPLOY. Deploy the Attack Mode by clicking the DEPLOY button.

Early Access event will run from: 18 Sep 1PM UTC — 2 Oct 1 PM UTC

During this time our testers will have an opportunity to win in two ways:

• Provide feedback about the game, every week our team will select 10 winners based on the most helpful feedback provided. Each winner will take home 5,000 REVV. Please keep in mind that best feedback is not always necessarily positive, we want to hear both positives and negatives in order to improve your experience.
• Win in the Battle Mode, we will run daily Battle Mode racing tournaments and you will be able to gain leaderboard points based on your performance in the game. Schedule of these battles will be released when Early Access starts. At the end of each week top 10 of the overall leaderboard will share a total of 150,000 REVV(per week) in the following manner:

This means that over the course of two weeks our testers have a total prize pool of 400,000 REVV to win from! And additionally during the Early Access we are waiving entry fees and giving you a team to race with, so this is at no cost for the racers.

You have probably seen the description below many times:

“Formula E: High Voltage is an official Formula E blockchain racing game, leveraging NFTs to introduce a new REVV Motorsport Play-&-Earn experience.

Players take the role of a Team Principal, making Strategic Decisions that will critically affect the outcome of your championship journey.”

But what exactly is under the hood?

Build & Develop your own Formula E Team

“You play as the Team Principal, Strategically Decide how you want to develop your own Formula E Team.”

To start playing FEHV, you will need to own at least 1 Car and 1 Driver. The Team Car you own determines which Team you can play with. E.g. If you own a car from the “Jaguar Racing Team”, then you can start racing with the “Jaguar Racing Team”.

In FEHV, one design theory is that we want to ensure that the game is more accessible to everyone by providing a lower barrier of entry, therefore if you only own one Car & Driver, you will receive a “Free Trial” car & driver of COMMON rarity, so that you can still play as a Team Principal who typically manages 2 Team cars in a real life Formula E race. (Free Trial car & driver has lower attributes and can’t be sold at the Marketplace.)

Of course, if you already own 2 Cars & Drivers of the same Team, you won’t need that low-tier Free Trial car & driver, and a “Team Synergy” buff will be activated that gives an extra attributes bonus to your Team.

You can own and manage multiple Teams. E.g. If you own a car from the Jaguar Racing, the Audi & the BMW team, you choose which Team you want to use before entering a race.

Level Progression — The Team

Each Team has its own level progression called the “Team’s Skill Tree”. Each time your Team levels up, you will be awarded 1 Skill Point to develop your Team. There will be various Team Skills that affect how your car performs in a race.

Benefits of owning / collecting more than one Team

There will be various benefits in owning / collecting / developing more than 1 Team.

• Develop Teams that specialises in straights, corners, energy regeneration, etc. Depending on different circuits, you decide which Team best performs in that circuit.
• Each Team that you activated grants a buff called the “Team Bonus”. The more Teams you collect / activate, the more bonuses you get. This will be a minor reward for collecting different Teams.
• Managing more Teams means more time & resources needed, so it’s your decision if you want to focus on one Team or invest in multiple Teams.

Level Progression — Cars / Car Parts / Driver Gear

In FEHV, taking part in races will earn you “Mystery Boxes” with a chance to contain Rare Items and Upgrade Materials which are essential for upgrading your Cars, Car Parts, and Driver Gear (which are all NFTs). When you have collected the required Materials to upgrade your desired item, you have the option of upgrading the item, which will Re-Mint it with higher attributes.

Like most elements in the game, Upgrade Materials are crypto assets, meaning you can trade them freely (buy and/or sell) on the market. You can also trade upgraded cars, car parts, and driver gears at the Marketplace!

Level Progression — Drivers

Drivers earn EXP by racing, which is used to level up. Level-ing Up gives you attribute points to spend on the driver — as the Team Principal, you will strategically decide how to develop your Driver. Again, as assets in FEHV are on-chain NFTs, meaning you can sell / buy experienced Driver NFT at the marketplace.

Crafting

There will be various Crafting Blueprints in FEHV, ranging from Free and easily available, to Ultra Rare blueprints that can only be obtained in highly specific ways. By collecting the required materials for a Blueprint, you can then Craft that particular item, which actually mints a new NFT. Crafting usually requires you to burn an item. Items that were produced by Crafting are usually of better quality and have special Set Bonuses.

Each city circuit that you race on has a chance to drop its own exclusive items. Crafting powerful items will require you to travel across different iconic cities and collect the required materials!

Skill System

For Epic, Legendary, and Apex tiers, a powerful ability called “Skill” will be randomly generated on cars and drivers NFTs when they are minted. Below are some examples from the pool of available Skills:

Race Formats

We strive to deliver the original experience from the official Formula E race, therefore in FEHV, we will be following a similar Rules and Race Day Format as the official race.

Practice Mode

Each day, you will be given a number of Free Tries to Practice in the upcoming E-Prix circuit, this is your opportunity to get a feel for the track and adapt your car set-up. Even in Practice Mode, you will still be able to get “Mystery Box” from playing.

Qualifying Mode

You can start playing the Qualifying Mode a few days before the E-Prix starts. Qualifying mode will determine your grid position in the E-Prix, with the fastest driver lining up in first place and slowest in last place.

E-Prix Mode

E-Prix Mode is the core game mode in FEHV, in which you will be able to race against other Team Principals in Real Time.

“Energy management is everything in Formula E,” noted Maximilian Guenther of BMW i Andretti Motorsport. Throughout a race you will need to communicate with the driver to manage your car’s energy and strike the right balance between performance and draining the battery!

The details of ATTACK MODE (location of the activation zone, the number, duration and the minimum amount of times drivers can arm it) will only be revealed some time before the race, meaning you only have limited time to decide the race strategy, ushering in more uncertainty and unexpected action in an E-Prix.

You will be able to switch between two camera views.

• The Zoom-Out view which lets you have a better view of the bigger picture.
• The Driver’s Eye view which gives you an immersive view of the race.

Car Generations (Gen)

Formula E: High Voltage will have cars from the past, current, and future Seasons / Gens, similar to the real Formula E. All of these cars are limited in number, and once they are gone you won’t be able to get them anymore, so good luck in getting these super cars!

Circuits

Formula E is famous for holding its races on circuits in dynamic and iconic cities all over the world. In Formula E: High Voltage, race circuits can be purchased as NFTs! You could own a portion of the circuit in Hong Kong or Rome, which means that you would get a portion of the race entry fee whenever someone races on that circuit!

Club Mode

What’s better than playing alone? Playing with Friends! You will be able to form your own Club where you can invite your friends, socialise with them, and co-op with your friends against other Clubs in the Clubs Tournament mode! Stay tuned for more info!

Hire Driver

Your time matters, especially when every second in FEHV could earn you REVV! We are building a system Across our REVV Motorsport games that lets you hire other people to race for you (see Hire Driver v0.1) and we are including this in FEHV with some notable improvements.

Everyone will pursue their own goals in FEHV. You might be a hardcore competitive player shooting for the top of the leaderboards, or a casual player who just wants to enjoy the game. Or maybe you are a NFT/crypto investor who has the assets but not the skill to play and you are looking to hire someone to play for you.
