Strategic collaborations with Gresini Racing and René Rast continues

Attention racers! You’ve likely noticed REVV tracks have been getting livelier lately, and it’s time to tune in, as the racing scene is about to hit high gear once again. Exciting updates are on the horizon, so make sure to catch all the news coming in.

In this update, we would like to share with our community some details about two upcoming REVV transfers to two of our key partners, Gresini Racing and Rene Rast, that have helped us shape the REVV ecosystem over the past few years. We believe in openness and want our community to be well-informed about our token transfers, as we work together to shape the future of motorsports gaming with REVV!

REVV Allocation

As part of the wider agreed compensation package with both partners, we are planning to transfer the following REVV amounts:

Gresini Racing: 400,000 REVV tokens
René Rast: 3,627,130 REVV tokens (with a similar amount planned later this year)

What is Gresini Racing?

Created by the two-time 125cc world champion Fausto Gresini, Gresini Racing has been involved in MotoGP since 1997, collecting prestigious sporting results including:

MotoGP world vice-champion for three consecutive years (2003, 2004, 2005)
Four world titles (2001, 2010, 2018, 2019)
Moto3 vice champion in 2018

His illustrious racing career speaks for itself and his expertise and reputation make him a greatly valued ambassador of the REVV family.

Once you have successfully completed the mandatory actions on the Gleam entry page, you will unlock entries where REVV token and REVV Ecosystem NFT holders (REVV Racing, MotoGP™ Ignition, and Torque Squad NFT holders) can provide their wallet address (Ethereum/Polygon or Flow). Alcañiz, Aragon

MotorLand Aragon first hosted a Grand Prix in 2010, becoming the sixth different circuit that has been used for GP racing in Spain, in addition to Jerez, Catalunya, Jarama, Montjuich and Valencia. This is a country which is passionate about motorcycle racing, having produced some great champions down the years including Angel Nieto, Sito Pons, Alex Criville, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez.

A state-of-the-art venue, the MotorLand Aragon road racing circuit was opened in 2009, to continue the rich local heritage of racing which had seen years of exciting street races in nearby Alcañiz, a town that hosted racing events between 1963 and 2003.

Maximize your racing potential with the right wheels

Greetings to all our racers, we hope everyone has been well! As you may have noticed in the recent weeks we have introduced new types of races into REVV Racing, where the cars you have in your garage matter. While there will always be races with no limits as well, this new concept will be more prominent in the future and it’s a good time to make sure you are taking full advantage of your NFT ownership.

Rules for car specific races

Unlike No Limit races, Car Specific Races have different entry requirements. From common models to top-class hyper cars, there will be a place and race for every car.

Missing the required car? Not to worry, you can get one on OpenSea or ask a friend to generate a driver link for you. Keep in mind that each account can only compete in either player or driver leaderboard. If a car token is linked to more than one winning record, all of the records will be excluded from the rewards calculation.

To understand this ruling better, here are a few possible scenarios:

Player A has set a record with their car, then sold the car to another player B, Player B used the same car to race in the same event. When the event is over and the final results are in, since A and B’s records are set with the same car, both of them are not eligible for rewards.
However, if A used another car to set a better record, so that the record created with the original car has been overwritten, both A and B’s records will be included in the rewards calculation, since their winning records are set with different cars and each car has only taken one place in the event.

REVV Motorsport: The Arrival of SHRD

In this post we will take excerpts SHRD Whitepaper, primarily highlighting the rewarded mechanics and utility for the SHRD token within REVV Racing. As well notes on supply management and emission.

Introducing SHRD

The Shard Token or SHRD, is a multi-experience, cross-blockchain fungible token for the REVV Motorsport ecosystem. SHRD exists to reward the act of play and engagement. Becoming the primary reward for participation in the REVV Motorsport ecosystem, and sitting below the REVV token in the wider economic model. SHRD use is experience or game specific, designed to ensure that the utility is relevant to the manner that it is earned: if you earn SHRD through play, its use will enhance your play experience.

Although SHRD becomes the primary token of earn, REVV remains at the core of the REVV Motorsport ecosystem. The REVV token is the primary utility token for purchasing and entry to exclusive events and game content.

SHRD Tokenomics: REVV Racing

Introducing REVV Racing

REVV Racing is an arcade-simulation racing game, which is playable via web browser. It uses the Polygon blockchain for the game’s NFTs, which mostly exist as cars at current. The REVV token is required to access rewarded game events, and to purchase exclusive NFTs.

SHRD Earning System

In REVV Racing, SHRD is earned based on distance driven. SHRD are earned by the mile, with each track having a set number of miles for a single lap. Earning isn’t dynamic, so more SHRD is not accrued by simply driving aimlessly on a track.

The earn rate for SHRD is based on a combination of the REVV fee, event type, and car rarity, but these are variables to a base earn of 5 SHRD per-mile. An example of this can be seen in the tables below. Note: these are for reference only, the final earn rate for an event can be viewed on the specific event details on the game website once SHRD fully launches.

In addition to the SHRD earned directly from play, SHRD ‘bundles’ (a bundle referring to a one time per-event lump sum) are won based on achieving certain ranks during events. For example, 1st place in an event will receive the SHRD they earned from play, plus a fixed amount based on their final rank for that event.

Car Rarity SHRD Earn

The rarity of each car (there are a total of six in REVV Racing) dictates the base earn rate of that car. With Common cars earning at the default rate, and Apex earning at the highest possible base rate.

Earning Multiplier Formula

((SHRD Earn Base * Entry Fee) * Rarity) * Distance = Total SHRD Earned

SHRD Issuance

SHRD supply is not capped, but the emission is controlled through a monthly mint cycle. SHRD is also burnable. When used they are destroyed, opposed to transferred (compared to a REVV purchase for example). So the circulating supply of SHRD is fluctuating based on the amount earned and the amount used.

The amount of SHRD a player will receive for the monthly cycle is relative to the amount of SHRD earned by a player in total. For example, if Player A has earned 1,000 SHRD, and Player B 100 SHRD, and the supply for the month allows for 100 SHRD per-player average, Player B would not receive 100% of their pending rewards. Instead, Player A would receive 100 SHRD, while Player B receives 10 SHRD. The actual rewarding will not be a simple flat percentage, but include other factors such as:

Recent activity: Activity by a player that relates to REVV Racing e.g. gameplay sessions. If players didn’t play that month, they will be absent from the payout.
Total lifetime sessions: Total number of sessions a player has performed. This counts only “Event” sessions (paid), not Practise or Test Centre.
Car ownership: The number of cars owned.

The latter two factor into the weight of SHRD they will receive from that months minted supply, while the first point determines if someone is eligible.

REVV Racing — Fusion System and Catalyst (CATA)

One of the core utilities for SHRD in REVV Racing is the Fusion System. In brief: the Fusion System allows car owners to ‘fuse’ a car (which exists as an ERC-1155 NFT on Polygon) with another car, and other NFT assets (including those unrelated to REVV Motorsport), to generate new cars.

Fusion is the only way to access certain cars, with those cars granting the owner access to car specific events and gameplay content. This ensures high value utility for SHRD within REVV Racing, as it is the only means to access considerable gameplay content and exclusive NFTs.

SHRD Tokenomics — MotoGP™ Ignition

Introducing MotoGP™ Ignition

MotoGP™ Ignition is a multi-game and collectible experience on the Flow blockchain. Players can collect Card NFTs, Video ‘Hot Shot’ NFTs, and gameplay specific assets (bike parts and rider gear), as they compete against other players in the MotoGP™ Ignition Manager and MotoGP™ Ignition Champions game modes.

MotoGP™ Ignition will be the second title to support SHRD. It is also important to note that with the support of SHRD within MotoGP™ Ignition, comes the support of SHRD on the Flow blockchain, and the SHRD token bridge between Polygon and Flow. This allows for players of both REVV Racing and MotoGP™ Ignition to take SHRD earned from one game, and use it in another.

The first emissions of SHRD in MotoGP™ Ignition will come through the next Hot Shots Card Collectible sale this month, and then with further earn opportunities coming the Champions Mode.

SHRD Tokenomics — REVV Motorsport Tracks

Track NFTs and Ecosystem Usage

Tracks, circuits or courses, (referred to as Tracks for the remainder) are interoperable NFTs across REVV Motorsport. The interoperability of the asset does not necessarily come from direct action (like interoperable car NFTs, for example), but passive inclusion, with them being playable across multiple games.

Today, Tracks include the REVV International Circuit, Joey Logano Grand Prix, Hong Kong City Circuit, and Hockenheimring. With the former two already being live and playable in REVV Racing. SHRD will be earnable for track owners.

SHRD Mint and Supply

The initial mint will see 30,000,000 SHRD created upon genesis, and then 2,000,000 per-month as rewards for at least the first two months (with a potential supply increase early depending on MotoGP™ Ignitions readiness). Of the genesis mint, 3,000,000 SHRD will be allocated to rewards as the first payout, while 25,000,000 will be used for liquidity. The remaining 2,000,000 SHRD from the first mint will be used as a liquidity buffer, but otherwise, utilised in the second mint cycle as rewards if the buffer is not required on liquidity set-up.

To seed liquidity for the token on Decentralised Exchanges (DEX), as SHRD will be paired with REVV on Polygon. With the REVV being provided by REVV Motorsport. The initial pairing will be set at 5:1 (5 SHRD for every 1 REVV).

When Is SHRD Arriving?

SHRD minting will begin this month for REVV Racing, and MotoGP™ Ignition. After the first mint, uncapped and multiplier affected SHRD earning will be available for REVV Racing.

Gecko Race 2.0 is here to bring you some lizard-like action!

Prepare your special wheels to participate

Greetings to all our racers! Gecko Race 2.0 is here to bring you a full on racing spectacle filled with lizard-like action, so make sure to have your Gecko cars ready! In this new format the car you race will be the key and since everyone will have the same type of wheels underneath, your driving skills will be truly tested!

Gecko Race 2.0 Details

The Gecko Race 2.0 will be divided into 3 racing sections and each section will have a reward pool of 60,000 REVV, with a total of 180,000 REVV available for the winners. Up to 500 players racing with correct Gecko themed cars will take home some REVV and your earnings will depend on how well you place in each race.

As before, in each event there will be two leaderboards, one for self players and one for hired drivers, however, further details on prize distribution can be found below in this article. All you need to compete is some tokens and a REVV Racing car NFT, noting that in this Race prize pool will only be available to those who race with the correct CoinGecko themed car. You will be able to participate with other cars as well if you would like to, but prize pool distribution is limited.

Each try lets you enter one race. Your total time for the race is recorded on the leaderboard. Tries cost 5 REVV each. Each session will have its variable lap counts and alternating tracks, read forward for more information. For REVV Racing basics please check out this helpful REVV Racing FAQ sheet!

REVV prize division for all the races

The REVV prizes of each race will be divided into two pools with separate leaderboards, one pool for players entering the race on their own and one pool for drivers using a shared link. The overall prize distribution ratio between pools will depend on the total number of sessions completed by each player group — if 60% of the total sessions are from players running by themselves and 40% are from drivers using shared links, the total prize pool will be split at a ratio of 60:40. If any driver prizes are below 5 REVV, it will be topped up to 5 REVV.

Each player (wallet address) is only eligible to receive one prize from either the players pool or drivers pool per event; the first session completed locks in prize pool eligibility. For example, if your first session recorded is using a shared link, you will only receive rewards from the driver pool, regardless of your position on the player side. However, you are welcome to participate in as many events as you would like, regardless of them being run at the same time.

Sessions structure

REVV Racing Gecko Race 2.0 consists of three 24 hour sessions running simultaneously and each session is accessible with a different Gecko car.. Below you will find a schedule for the sessions in this run. Please note that all times are in the UTC time zone.

Event Summary

REVV Racing Gecko Race 2.0 will run starting from 14th July 2022, at 08 a.m. (UTC) till 15th July 2022 at 08 a.m. (UTC) .
There are 3 races and each will have a specific car you need to drive to enjoy the prize pool. All sessions will have their own REVV pool available.
Total pool available across the sessions is 180,000 REVV, with 60,000 REVV available for each race.
To participate you need a REVV Racing Gecko car, which you can get at OpenSea. (Gecko REVV Ambition / GeckoCon REVV Blur / GeckoCon 2022 REVV Oji
Racing tries cost 5 REVV (Polygon).
The Gecko Race 2.0 will only be accessible by the cars which are available at the beginning of the event and only those using specific Gecko cars will enjoy the prize pool.
One player can only qualify for one position per- session. REVV Racing reserves the right to disqualify any players in races where foul play is suspected. If a player is disqualified, the next fastest racer will receive the prize.

To qualify for the prizes in Gecko Race 2.0, you must keep the car that is used to achieve the winning time until the event is over. Snapshots will be taken at the beginning and right after the event. If a winning car has been transferred away during the event, the original car owner will forfeit their winning position and their prize will be rewarded to the next best eligible player instead.

KYC - How to complete player verification

To protect against malicious actors and maintain a fair racing environment, we require KYC from all the players who would like to receive their prizes. In order to avoid delay on sending the prizes, you can now complete player verification before the festival ends. If you have not submitted your information and get verified by our KYC service provider before the rewards are being processed, your rewards will be on hold and carry over to the next payment cycle, until your profile is verified.

Navigate to the REVV Racing website and go to the bottom of the site, where you can find “Player Verification”. Follow the instructions in it.

If you have completed player verification before, please login to the player verification website to make sure your profile is up to date and submit updated information if necessary.
