About us
The C++ language has seen a surge of activity over the last few years, involving the language itself, its ecosystem and the community. Haifa::C++ is a group for C++ developers who would like to expand their knowledge of the language, tools and related technologies. Our group meets once a month for a talk, mingling and hopefully some pizza ;)

The local C++ community activities also includes the Core C++ meetup group, the Core C++ conference, and the Medabrim C++ whatsapp group. Your welcome to join them all.

So AI is writing my code - now what?
NVIDIA Yokneam, HaKidma 26, Yokne'am Illit, ILThe way we develop software is rapidly changing. AI can generate code much faster than the speed humans can read, let alone review and get familiar with. So how can we stay in control of the code we own? In the August meetup of Haifa::C++, Amir Kirsh and Alex Romanov will help us avoid the pitfalls involved in AI-generated software.

AI is already writing your code. The real question is: what do you know about the code it writes?
This talk focuses on how to maintain and reason about code quality when much of the code is no longer written directly by humans. We will introduce a specific, practical approach for working effectively with AI-generated code, one that helps developers stay in control, systematically evaluate outcomes, and avoid the subtle pitfalls that arise when delegation replaces authorship. The emphasis is not on prompting tricks, but on a disciplined way of thinking about design, verification, and responsibility in an AI-assisted workflow.
While code examples will be in C++, the ideas are language-agnostic. Even if you do not write C++, or strongly prefer not to, you will find the techniques directly applicable to your own language and development environment.

Amir Kirsh and Alex Romanov have been writing code for over 20 years across a wide range of companies and projects. Today, they focus on prompting, consulting, and teaching.
