Hi everyone! I’ve got another closeup shot for you guys, and this time it’s to show off the extravagant and ginormous Antoinette hat by Wicca’s Wardrobe. I loved how mysterious the hat looked on me so I styled myself accordingly.
Initially I envisioned myself as a vampire after putting on this hairstyle by lamb., a Hair Fair gift, which you might be able to find at her store. I matched it with a deep shade of red lipstick by Glam Affair for the LeLutka mesh head. I had fangs on, but I decided to take them off as they were too cheesy, and slightly in-your-face. I approached it with another perspective, which was to go for a slightly more dominatrix look, which was why I completed the look with the Bastet harness, a rare item from the gacha at Pixicat. The items from the gacha are amazing, and so are the items that Pixicat sells so for those of you who haven’t been there, you should definitely take a look!

I thought I’d try to squeeze in one last post before Halloween so this here, is my last post for October. The inspiration for this look was something evil or demonic juxtaposed against something clean, proper and holy. In this case it was the Abaddon mask from Wicca’s Wardrobe which provided the demonic aspect and having it photographed at a temple or shrine, which is a place that is associated with holiness and good.
Even the look itself is a contradicting idea in itself. The Malignant dress, from Pixicat for Collabor88, and amazing one indeed, is one that is extremely provocative, definitely not something you’ll wear to a church or a temple. I mean, just look at the chest area, if that isn’t provocative, I don’t know what that is. Thank goodness for the fake hands, otherwise this photo would be considered nudity, and I think even with this photo it might just already be bordering on nudity. I picked the white version because that would contradict the look of the dress, and with white usually associated with purity, the dress itself could be seen as both holy and unholy at the same time.
So, with a dress like that, and the mask, I asked for a holy place for photography to really create that contrast between good and evil (though the lines are kinda blurry). The pose was in contrast to the outfit, something soft and gentle, with the idea of me rising out of the water to approach the shrine, perhaps trying to challenge whether evil could enter the sanctuary of holiness and good. With that, Jackson also created the photo with a hint of iconic imagery in terms of lighting and atmosphere, and that’s how we got the photo.
I admit that this is the photo we’ve done so far that juxtaposed opposing ideas so much within one shot, and it wouldn’t have been obvious if I didn’t explain the concept of the photo. I’m rather proud of this and I hope you guys like it.
