I love doing closeups. I get to show more detailed items to you guys like accessories and makeup much clearly than in full body shots.
This time I bring to you the Plava headpiece by Wicca’s Wardrobe. This headpiece is especially great for avant garde looks and it also comes in silver. The makeup is another one of the choices you get from the Nuuna LeLutka applier makeup set hud and it isn’t what I would normally wear but it was perfect for this look. I decided to match the headpiece with the jewelry from Elysium, the Oriental Delight set, which comes with earrings and a beautiful necklace. There are different precious stone options, including amber, ivory and onyx. In this photo, I’m featuring the ruby version.
One thing I would have wanted to fix though was the error on the right earring. So sorry for this mistake, but I hope you guys like the photo nonetheless!

Halloween season is proving to be really fun for me. I get the chance to dress up as different characters and in different styles, sometimes not in the style I would usually go for. But I take that as sort of a little lesson, on how styling myself in a certain way out of my comfort zone can help me learn more and open myself out more to the other genres.
This post was greatly influenced by one of my favorite movies this year, the over-the-top action movie, Mad Max: Fury Road, which also served as inspiration for one part of this collection released by Wicca’s Wardrobe for Halloween. I guess the idea really stuck in my head after knowing about Wicca’s inspiration so I took it and ran with it. Her pieces are named after horror movies, or characters in famous horror movies (though there are exceptions), so see if you can spot the references in her collection!
The Paige top and the Carrie skirt come from two different outfits but are both released at BOSL Fall/Winter Fashion Week 2015, together with the Psycho armpieces, while the Seska headpiece is a release for the Fantasy Collective of October. Do be sure to check them both out if you’re interested!
I love how imaginative the pieces are and that pushes me to style myself in a non-conventional way, which was quite difficult, I must admit. I spent a whole lot of time thinking about the right hairstyle to use and in the end I settled with the Viking hair from Tableau Vivant, under the category of Fantasy/Roleplay hairstyles. Once again, that aisle is not someplace I would usually go if not for this shoot so I’m rather thankful.
The makeup was rather simple and was decided upon the quickest. Like I said, I was rather inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road so I knew what makeup I wanted and thank goodness Nuuna has them.
Halloween is just around the corner! I’m so excited and I can’t wait for the day to arrive! Till then, take care!

Another Halloween-themed photo shoot before the day comes! This time I was really inspired by the Julie gown from AZUL which comes in a Halloween version, complete with skeletal wings and little spiders crawling all over. I would say that this gown delivers more of a romantic/elegant vibe than a scary one so it’s great if you’re looking for a glamorous outfit for the occasion.
With an outfit like that, I knew I had to accessorize with a simple hair, so I picked a long straight hairstyle from Tableau Vivant, which is also a group gift that is still available in the store. There is a fee to join the group (if I recall, I joined when it was free). but the group gifts you receive throughout the year are rather worth it! Of course, for a more gothic themed makeup, I turn to the two brands you’ve seen me using for the past few posts, Nuuna and Shakeup!. And for the thigh high boots, they’re from FasterPussycat, which has lots of Halloween themed outfits out at the mainstore right now.

Or are they? I absolutely cannot imagine if I had to live this moment in a dream, though I guess a few of you would have experienced something like this or something close at least. For these few weeks bloggers are slowly posting more fantasy or horror looks cos Halloween is coming soon! Lots of fun things to do in SL, to explore, to shop, to just simply have fun with friends, you’ll be amazed at what SL has to offer.
So FasterPussycat has a Halloween photo contest where all you need to do to join is to put together an outfit wearing FasterPussycat, Velvet Elvis and/or BENDER, and shoot your photos at the mainstore sim. And so I gave it a shot (pun unintended and besides, Jackson was the one who took the shot) and here’s what we came up with!
The most important part of the outfit is from BENDER, the nightshade lace bodysuit in white, which is also part of BENDER‘s fall release and can be found at the mainstore. I matched it with a vintage-looking hair, the steamer hair from .Olive. as I was envisioning a classic horror movie look, envisioning Psycho or something along the lines. And as you can see, I’m still playing around with facial expressions which is in the latest update of the LeLutka mesh head. If you haven’t gotten the update, do head down to the store and hit the Redelivery Terminal to get yours.
I gotta thank Jackson for taking part in this shot too. He even affectionately calls his evil clown avatar Hank haha. You guys are spared from Hank’s front view, cos it is really frightening if you were to see him, and him wielding that knife is guaranteed to give you a genuine expression like mine.

So, I’ve been experimenting with a slightly goth aesthetic with my looks recently, just check out my previous post for proof haha. So for this look I went towards the Elvira or Morticia Addams look. This gown, Iolanda, is a limited release by AZUL to celebrate the reopening of their main store. There are lots more beautiful gowns from their prior releases that are making a come back, so it is definitely worth a stop. The gown was accessorized with the steamer hair from .Olive., a gift from the Hair Fair for a more vintage hairstyle. Though the gift is now unavailable, I’m sure there are lots of other vintage hairstyles available too. I added a necklace from Pure Poison, which kinda resembled a choker to complete the look while still keeping within the theme.

Omg it has been so long since I last blogged. It has been a month, I think! Well I have been rather occupied with RL so I’m only on SL for a few hours each day.
Besides I have also embarked on a few projects. The first, is that I’m now a model for the TEOM Magazine! The Evolution of Model (TEOM) Magazine is a rather young publication company so it’s great to work with them and grow in experience along with them. You’ll be seeing me in a spread done by Jackson in the October issue of the magazine so do watch out!
The second project, or rather, the second job, is with the prestigious BOSL Magazine! This time, my role is not a model, but a writer. For my first publication with them, the October issue too, I’m in charge of two articles! The first is a Top 5 Halloween List where I recommend the 5 exciting things in SL to do next month, and the other article is about a new designer, where I have featured the amazing Honey Bender-Auer and her newest label, Bender.
As such, I’ve decided to dedicate this post to Honey, for agreeing to do the interview and also giving me the opportunity to blog for her womenswear labels, both Bender and FasterPussyCat. The Carnivale Suit, which will be released soon, is part of their Fall collection, and features patterns and detailing on interesting textures, and also has a gothic theme to it. Taking style cues from Honey, I styled myself the same way. Dark eyeshadows from Nuuna, a latest release for LeLutka heads. It’s affordable, and comes in 10 different styles, from edgy to avant garde. The dark red lipstick comes from Shakeup!, a cosmetics brand that offers a wide range of lipsticks for LeLutka heads too. Whatever the style you want, they have it.
Contrasting the skin against the dark clothing, I chose the Europa skin tone from the default selection of Glam Affair skins and matched it with a dip-dyed red bob from Chemistry Hair. I absolutely adore the hairs from them, and I also got the Min hair from the label before this for my MVW Challenge, which, by the way I didn’t get through but it was a fantastic learning experience and I made friends!
You guys are also getting a sneak peek of the Fiero Sallow Heels from FasterPussyCat which will definitely be released soon in Honey’s store. I love those heels, they so playful but still edgy in itself so you can style them either way. Thank you, Honey!
