Hello and welcome from the MPI social committee. Apart from myself, Alison Moore, the other members of the committee are:

We are committed to bringing you, the MPI models and staff, some high class social events to relax at in between those gruelling modelling assignments

The first event is at noon SLT on 3 October 2009. It is a comedy event featuring 2 of SL’s most innovative comedians.

The first is Lauren Weyland who does a hilarious live stand-up comedy routine on the peculiarities and quirks of living in SecondLife and Firstlife! Lauren has performed at dozens of clubs, corporate events, and enumerable benefits, written and performed in theater plays, and maintains a regular show night at her club “Lauren’s Place” on Cookie Island.

The second is Salamander Maroon. She is quite possibly Second Life’s top red-haired female comedian from Northern England named after an amphibian. What do you get when you cross a keen eye for the ridiculous, a sharp tongue and an image resembling a red-haired Amy Winhouse not on crack? Salamander Maroon, that’s what! She makes regular appearances at several venues around SL and I was lucky enough to catch her act at the Chuckling Priestman Comedy Club

So bring your friends along to this exciting first event, more details including a landmark to follow.
