BlackLace Photo Contest

Blacklace Lingerie is holding a photo contest to find 3 models to join the existing group of girls, to be featured on our vendors and store art. We want to see your beautiful avatars dressed up in Blacklace in seductive, alluring poses. Please read the rules and details of prizes below:

Rules
====
*The model in the photo must be wearing Blacklace lingerie
*Only the model in the photo please
*There is no theme, but be creative. You do not have to just send studio shots.
*Photoshopping is encouraged, but the lingerie needs to be recognisable
*No nudity or explicit images
*One entry per person
*By entering your image you are agreeing to allow Blacklace to use your photo for display both in-store and as promotional material

What we need from you
==================
Make a folder in your inventory called !Blacklace Contest
Upload your entry which must be square, and either 512 x 512 or 1024 x 1024
Change the permissions on your texture to FULL PERMISSIONS this is very important
On a notecard put your Name, your SL age, your time zone, who took your photo, and one paragraph telling us why you think you would be suitable as a Blacklace Model.
Put both into the folder and send it to BLACKLACE FAITH no later than 22nd November. Please do not send the entries to any other members of staff.

Your entry will be disqualified if:
There is more than one person in the photo

Holida Picture CONTEST

Happy Holidays! Tis the season……  to start taking those family photos, portraits to send to loved ones, pics just having one helluva a good time!

With that in mind I made a HUD that will put a frame on your picture when you take it.  Now, you do not need to buy a frame and slide your image into it!

Simply wear the HUD, chose the frame you like, shoot your pic! Save and voila, ready for sending out to the grid already framed in holiday goodness.

The HUD is LOCATED in our “Magic of Christmas SHop” just outside our main store.   We are just starting to gear up for the season ahead!

To help you enjoy the HUD we are having a Holida Picture CONTEST!

The rules are S-I-M-P-L-E!
1) Your submitted picture must be taken with the HUD 🙂
2) Your snapshot must be taken on our sim. )Lots of wintery goodness from a horse drawn carriage thru the snowy mountains to polar bears!)
3) Your image may or may not be post processed, up to you!
4) You may submit ONE IMAGE = ONE ENTRY per person! No fee to enter.
5) Name your image P&PP Holiday Pic – Your Name
6) Submit ONLY to Mairead Fitzgerald.
7) Submissions accept begining Monday, November 16th, 2009 (today!).
8) Deadline Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 at 11:59 PM LST.
9) Voting will be 40% of popular vote (1 vote per person, no fee to vote) AND 60% by a juried panel of 5 judges.
Entries will be available for viewing/voting outside, in front of Prim & Pixel Paradise.

FS Jewelry Design of the Month December

*FS* Jewelry Design, will be holding a monthly contest for Model of the Month, leading up to the Model of the Year Contest at the end of 12 months.

***ALL CONTESTANTS MUST WEAR *FS* JEWELRY DESIGN JEWELRY IN THEIR PHOTOS (no free or discounted items allowed)***

** The Model of the Month contest will be by vote.

** The Model of the Year contest, with a top prize of L$20,000, will be juried, no votes.

** This contest is open to men and women. All entries must be human.

**Beginning November 17, 2009, we will be accepting photos for the contest starting November 1st. You may enter them on the board at the *FS* Jewelry Design main store at any time during this week.
voting start at 12:00am, and run for 10 days ending on December 17, 2009, at 11:59pm. The winner will be announced right after the contest ends.

Prizes:

1st prize: L$5000 and one photograph for an ad with *FS* Jewerly Design.

2nd prize: L$2000

All contestants will receive a Birthstone Necklace representing the month of the contest.

JOINING

You can join for free by touching one of the unused photo boards.

The photo board will try to load your profile picture and display it. Once loaded, you can now change it by loading another photo/texture into it. In order to do that, hold down the CTRL key and drag a picture from your inventory onto the photo board while holding down the left mouse button. The frame will highlight to red and you can release the left mouse button. The picture/texture has to be FULLPERM (also for next owner – see bottom of properties page) due to technical reasons.
If done properly the picture will be displayed and the photo board changes to voting mode.

CHANGING YOUR PICTURE

Changing your picture

To change your picture, touch the sign and you will receive a menu with some options:

– Load Picture: Changes the photo board to picture loading mode. Update your picture by following the instructions above.

Touch to keep the picture and to proceed to voting mode again. (This will happen automatically after 2 minutes as well).

– Profile Picture: Tries to load you profile picture onto the photo board. After that it will change to the “Picture Loading mode”. Touch to keep the picture and to proceed to voting mode again. (This will happen automatically after 2 minutes as well).

If you have disabled “show in search” in your profile, the system will not be able to
acquire your profile picture. On change it will take up to 24 hours until it will be available.

– Close Menu: Closes the menu with no action

– Abandon: Abandon will close the photo board and remove yourself from the contest.

******Attention: No refunds!*********

VOTING –

L$20 per vote, 5 votes per av, per day (no refunds)

The board will tell you how many votes you have remaining, each time you vote.

You cannot vote for yourself with this system. The money will be returned to you if you attempt to vote for yourself.

We are not responsible for the amount of money you put into this contest. There will be absolutely NO REFUNDS.

2010 BeStyle Calendar

2010 BeStyle Calendar.

In order to participate in the selection the candidates shall:

1. Submit a note-card application containing the following information:
– SL name and last name
– Date of birth in SL
– Nationality RL
– Short personal presentation
– Agency or agencies enrolled
– Time you are available in SL
– Attach 2 photos (resolution1024 x 1024) in a casual dress and formal gown from a fashion designer present in the RODEO DRIVE sim shopping center and in ORAGE Creations (pics resolution1024 x 1024)
– Rename the notecard with your SL name

2. Subscribe to the EGO FASHION CLUB group

Among all the models candidate who submitted the application we will select a maximum of 30 candidates. The candidates will be informed of the results of the selection through a note-card or IM.

Deadline to submit the application is Wednesday November 18th, 2009.
The applications MUST be dropped as soon as possible in the mail drop at this location Rodeo Drive and copy to Elettra Gausman.

The final selection will happen in two shows on November 24th and 26th, 2009.

The models during the show will strut twice in two separate groups each day. The first time in a casual dress and the second time in a evening dress offered by the stylists of RODEO DRIVE.

The jury will be made of stylists, journalists, fashion and beauty experts, and eventually the management of the Best of Italian.

The 5 winner will be featured on the BeStyle Calendar – 2010 and will participate in the castings for the next Best of Italian Fashion Shows.

FACE OF LIL’s 2010!!

FACE OF LIL’s 2010!!

Would you like to be the FACE of Lil’s for the year 2010?  Here’s your chance to impress and become FACE of Lil’s 2010 – wow!!

Below are the rules for entry as well as how it works….

How it Works:
========
~~Starting from 1st October 2009, and each month for 11 months, you are invited to buy an outfit from one of Lil’s stores (MUST BE Lil’s and not from one of the other shops in Lil’s Shoppers Paradise).
~~ You then need to take two photos at Charisma in that outfit – one head shot and one full body shot.  The photos may be enhanced or improved outside of SL in photo-editing software.
~~ Send the photos (full perms) to Lilac Niven on or before the 20th of each month.
~~ Lilac will judge the photos – Lil’s is looking for you to showcase Lil’s outfits in the best possible way!!
~~ The winner will be announced at the end of each and every month up to August 2010.  She will win L$1.000 for recognition of winning the monthly round. The winner’s picture will be displayed In Lil’s Mainstore & on the blog (http://lils-fashioninspiredbyyou.blogspot.com) and automatically enter into the final month’s competition i.e. September 2010.
~~ In September 2010 all monthly winners will be judged and the FACE of Lil’s 2010 will be announced.  She will win a grand sum of L$5.000!!! AND be asked to model some of Lil’s outfits from time to time.  The winner will also win ONE FREE outfit of his or her choice per month from October 2010 to September 2011.

The Rules:
======

~~ An outfit must be bought from Lil’s during the month in which you are entering the contest.  If you enter during another month then you must buy a different outfit – no repeat outfits are to be worn or those bought before this contest started.  The free outfits or 10L outfits must not be worn for the contest.

~~ The pictures must be taken anywhere on the Charisma sim.
~~ Lil’s – Fashion Inspired by You MUST be in your picks and you MUST be a member of ! Lil’s Shoppers Paradise group!  If you are chosen and you aren’t in Lil’s group and haven’t Lil’s in picks…you get disqualified.
~~ You cannot enter if you are employed at Lil’s (this includes models).
~~ You must get your entry in on or before the 20th of each month.
~~ Contest updates will be sent out via Lil’s Group Notices – so keep your eyes peeled.
~~ Only ONE entry per AV per month!  So be sure you put your best photos in !  You only get the one chance a month!
~~ The decision of the judges is final.

A Photo Contest

Want to show off your photo skills?  Well, I’ve joined forces with *BOOM* and [skream!] to offer a contest.  Not only does grand prize winner receive L and goodies they get to help in design of an item made in their honor, from each store!  Winners will be announced in the beginning of December, so just in time for holiday spending money.

Rules and Guidelines :

– There is no set “theme” for the photograph but all photos must contain one item by all three stores and must showcase all three pieces (items).
– Nudity is okay but please keep it tasteful.
– The photographs will be judged with the following criteria:
• Creativity
• How well each item is exhibited
• Quality, talent, detail

– All photos are due by November 30th noon, SLT and must be submitted to the flickr group:

*Please tag all photos with “SSB Photo Contest.”

Alatiel Fashion Face 2010

►ALATIEL FASHIONS FACE 2010◄

Alatiel Fashions is proud to announce a new model search to find the Representative of Alatiel Fashions for next year.

Alatiel Fashions Face will be awarded with a cash prize of $ 15,000L and will work closely with Alatiel Malies by modeling for magazine advertisements throughout 2010, as well as being featured in the cover of BeStyle Magazine.

If you think you combine elegance with sense of style and personality, read Contest Rules below and fill in an application.

:: CONTEST RULES ::

FIRST PHASE

• Join “Alatiel Fashions” group in-world to receive updates and results of selections.

• Prepare a FOLDER named “Alatiel Fashions Face 2010 – (Your Name)”.
Fill in the application below and include it in the folder together with 1 headshot and 1 bodyshot (both FULL PERM) wearing clothing from the new collection by Alatiel Fashions. You can find new items at Alatiel Mainstore tagged as “NEW”

• Post-processing of photos is allowed but not necessary. You will be judged on your sense of style, overall balance and composition of outfit and on the unique features of your avatar. All photos will be added to “Alatiel Fashions Face 2010” Flickr stream.

• The entry folder including filled in application AND full perm photos is to be sent to Livia Mastroianni by November 22nd, 2009 @ 1pm SLT.

• 30 models will be invited to join live auditions and they will be announced on November 29th, 2009.

LIVE AUDITIONS (December 7th – December 8th, 2009)

• A theme will be assigned and the 30 Pre-Finalists will be invited to give their own interpretation wearing any Alatiel Fashions clothing. Live auditions will take place at different times to meet everyone’s needs.

• A jury of professionals in SL fashion industry will judge you basing on your apparel, style, composition of outfit and interpretation of the assigned theme.

• The 5 models receiving the highest scores from the jury will be the official Alatiel Fashions Face Finalists and they will be announced on December 11th, 2009.

FINAL PHASE

• Alatiel Fashions Face 2010 will be a Representative for Alatiel Fashions and will work closely with Alatiel Malies, thus an interview with Alatiel will be scheduled for each finalist.

• FInalists will be invited to join the runway together with Alatiel Live Models to showcase the new winter releases by Alatiel Fashions during the Christmas Party in Piazza Italia, on December 22nd, 2009.

• Alatiel Fashions Face 2010 will be picked by Alatiel Malies and announced during the Christmas Party on December 22nd, 2009.

To the 5 Official Finalists:
• $1,000L store card

WE PAY 15L AN HOUR FOR MODELING ON THE RUNWAY .A LOT OF MODELS LEAVE THEIR AVIS ON THE RUNWAY ALL NIGHT WHILE THEY SLEEP!!! THIS IS FINE, IT WILL HELP U RECOUP THE MONEY YOU HAVE SPENT ON YOUR GOWN/OUTFIT YOU PURCHASED TO ENTER AND EARN SOME MONEY TOWARDS ANOTHER GOWN FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK TO ENTER !!!
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE RUNWAY FOR A MINIMUM OF 2-4 HOURS DAILY, BUT YOU MAY DO AS MANY HOURS AS YOU LIKE AND EARN SOME MONEY.
WEEK 4 WE WILL CHOOSE 10 FINALISTS FROM THE PREVIOUS 3 WEEKS WHO WILL WEAR THE HOB MODEL FINALIST TAG .
WE WILL CHOOSE A FURTHER 5 FINALISTS OUT OF THE 15, WEEK 4, PICTURE ENTRIES, CHOSEN FOR RUNWAY FOR WEEK 4.
WEDNESDAY,& THURSDAY, 18TH,19TH NOVEMBER, WILL BE FINALISTS ONLY DAY.
WINNERS OF BOTH CONTESTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THURSDAY 19TH NOVEMBER AT 2PM SLT AT AWARDS CEREMONY AT MAINSTORE, SAINT LLC

REMEMBER YOU MUST NOT ONLY MAKE YOURSELF LOOK GOOD, BUT THE OUTFIT OR GOWN U ARE WEARING. MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE THE GARMENT CLEARLY AND IS NOT CHANGED TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING RECOGNISABLE AS A BENINGBOROUGH GARMENT OR GOWN.
THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT THE WHOLE COMPOSITION OF THE PICTURE.
REMEMBER LIGHTING . IM LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL FINISH TO THE PICTURE THAT CAN BE USED FOR OUR DOUBLE PAGE AD IN VARIOUS SL PUBLICATIONS.
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS MAY BE USED AND THE PICS MAY BE PHOTOSHOPED TO GIVE THEM THE BEST FINISH.
I AM LOOKING FOR THE BEST MODELS, GREAT AVI, SKINS, HAIR, ACCESSORIES, GOOD EDITING SKILLS, BUT MOST OF ALL GREAT PERSONAL STYLE, SOMEONE WHO INSTANTLY STANDS OUT ON THE RUNWAY.

THE WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN BY BLISS BENINGBOROUGH AND HER DECISION IS FINAL.
SHE WILL PICK THE PICTURE AND RUNWAY MODEL , SHE FEELS BEST REPRESENTS HER STORE AND DESIGNS .
THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE., BUT PLEASE NOTE DO NOT THINK THAT BY BEFRIENDING ME IT WILL INFLUENCE MY DECISION ON THE WINNERS. IT WONT!!!!
