Hi there

Inspiration for tonight’s card came from the Altnew Challenge.

When the Sketchy Floral stamp set arrived yesterday, it  changes my plans a little as I just had to play! I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed with Copper embossing powder. The flowers are water coloured with Distress Inks and the leaves with Brilliance Cosmic Copper Ink.  Of course I added a little Wink of Stella to the flowers to give a little bit more sheen.

The piece is very large so I fussy cut it and divided it into sections.  This card features about half the image, so there’s another card in the pipeline!

I raised the middle panel and flowers and added some copper thread.

Hello again

This card features my newly arrived Mudra stamp – Dainty Blooms.

I had a piece of gloss card that I had used to play with some alcohol inks when I did a Online Card Class with Tim Holtz.  I decided it made the perfect background for this card.

The image was stamped using Brilliance Lightning Black and coloured with Copic markers.  The die cut was from Kaisercraft and coloured with Copics and finished with Wink of Stella. (Of course!) Unfortunately is looks more blue/grey than IRL.

The base card was also coloured with copics to match.

Welcome!

My card uses a Kaisercraft Pina Colada stamp set I had picked up as a give away. I’ve been trying to decide how to use, when the latest JUGS challenge was announced.

I did some no line watercolouring with Distress Inks, stamped the half circle with Delicata gold ink, added the die cut and sentiment from Simon Says Stamps.

There is a faint pink stencilling and the piece was mounted on an embossing folder background.

I was quite happy with the end result.

 Hello again

This cute little cat card uses the Waffle Flower – Flora Cat Play which is coloured  with Copics and then covered in Wink of Stella to give it a shine. The background circle features ink blending with Distress inks, as is the banner from Waltzing Mouse – Vintage Banners set.

This cat reminds me of the white china cat ornament I loved as a child.

I hope this shot shows the shine a little better.

Hi again

I just love these little mice!  So cute!

I fell in love with this little fellow (House Mouse – Taking Notes) and have had him coloured for a while.  It was fun deciding how to finish the card off.

I decided the very simple flowers from Simon Says Stamps – Many thanks set, were the perfect ones to represent what this little guy might draw with his pencils.

Hi there

This is a piece of watercolour paper I had water coloured with Distress Inks, sprayed with Shimmer and then white embossed  the sea shell image. It has been sitting in my box of pieces for ages.  I rather like the effect of the silver and silver glitter paper to finish it off.  It is really a very pretty shimmery piece but unfortunately it doesn’t show up very well.  I hope the small pic underneath shows it a bit better.
