Penny Black Saturday Challenge – It’s your day …

Hello and welcome

I’m back with a reminder for the July Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional – On or In the Water.

This is such a super fun challenge option! When I was looking through my stash I found this sweet image in the PB – Bubbly stamp set. The first time I’ve used this one.

I started by cutting the “YOU” die twice – once in pink and one white. The image was stamped on the white centre. The little mouse was restamped on a scrap.

The images were watercoloured and the mouse fussy cut.

For the background I found an old EF from Couture Creations – Party Time, I hadn’t used before. After a little sprintz and embossing the larger circles were coloured with Nuvo Glitter Drops a well as the bath bubbles, to give them a shine. The smaller raised ones had clear Wink of Stella, which was also added to all the small stamped bubbles.

A small die cut circle held the sentiment from the stamp set.

The small sentiments were from PB – Grow with Love set and Mamma elephant – Small Images set. the bubbles are from Lawn Fawn – Bubbles of Joy stamp set.

Please head over to our blog to  check out the wonderfully inspirational work by the rest of the Design Team!  I hope you will find the time to join our challenge this month.

Time Out #288

Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge that opens today and runs through May 21. This time it is a Celebrating Star Wars. May the 4th be with you!

(Think Movie series, celestial, sky, northern lights, etc. )

I changed tack this week and decided to have some fun.

After making my celestial background with Distress inks, I framed the panel with MFT – Pierced Rectangle Dies.

I love the wonderful soft colours used in the background and softened further with a dark colour around the edges to highlight the look of the night sky.

The image is from Colorado Craft- Anita Jeram image – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star set. Colour came from a little alcohol inks. A created a little Light Sabre for the little mouse to carry. After fussy cutting, everything was added to the card front.

I hope my card brought you a smile!

Time Out Challenge #258

Hello and welcome

We are back with an Inspiration Photo for Challenge #258. It’s Leap Year, and our new challenge opens on Leap Day! We thought it fitting to have some leaping inspiration in the form of a frog!

We are generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn. Our challenge winner will receive a $25.00 Lawn Fawn store credit and an offer to Guest Design at Time Out for a future challenge.

After loooking through my stash, I found a frog stamp set from Katzelkraft. It hadn’t been used before.

After stamping the frog and watercolouring with Distress inks, it was fussy cut and covered with Glossy Accents to give him some shine.

I also found a pretty Lilly Pad stencil from Artistcellar. I inked a piece of green card with Evergreen Bough ink, then brushed some ink over the lilly pads with some greens. Finally the panel was sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

The panel was then added behind a MFT stitched rectangle frame made from the back of a coffee box. Love that kraft colour. The ‘Hello” die is from Avery Elle was added along with the frog.

The sentiment is from MFT- Sunshine & Friendship stamp set.
