We are joined by Stef Perry of Perry Papercrafts, and winner of Time Out #296 as Guest Designer.Stef is a wonderfully talented crafter who is a frequent player at Time Out. Her creations are always guaranteed to be delightful! 

Of course I chose Christmas such a special time of year.

A piece of vellum embossed using Altnew Geo Steps 3D embossing folder was added to the white card front.

Next, poinsettias from Studio Katia – Poinsettia Trimmings stamp set were copic coloured and fussy cut went across the top.

The gold die cut sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh.

Time Out #298

Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge that opens today and runs through to October 8th.  This time it is a Pick Two challenge where we give you 6 word prompts and you pick at least 2 for your project!  To be clear, you can pick all 6 if you really want to stretch yourself but you only must choose2!

We are joined by Jaydee of Stampin! with Jaydee, and winner of Time Out #293 as Guest Designer.

I chose to work with Monochromatic, Metallic, Edge, and Splatter.

Pink Fresh Studio – Scalloped Grid was cut in black for the background. The same die was then used to dry emboss a piece of white card trimmed to fit in with a frame.

Splatters were then added.

Pink Fresh Studio Foliage Flair stamp was used for the foliage coloured in shades of black, trimmed using the matching die. Metallic pen was added to give a shine. Unfortunately it’s very difficult to see the fine metallic lines. You can see it a little in the photo below. It looks really pretty IRL!

When I think of the seasons, I really have to say I love summer. I can’t wait for it to arrive here is Australia!!

For my card I decided to go for a fun look with Santoro Gorguss – Little Fishes stamp set. It is so sweet and sadly this is the first time I’ve used it.

After stamping it was copic coloured and then watercoloured a washy beach background.

We have a new challenge at Time Out that opens today and runs through August 13. This time it is a Pick Two challenge!  The idea of this challenge is very simple: we give you 6 word prompts and you pick at least 2 for your project!  To be clear, you can pick more than 2 if you like – you can include all 6 if you really want to challenge yourself but just make sure to pick at least 2!

The words for Challenge #294 are:

Torn, Transport, Star, Stripes, Rainbow, Book

Some words may have a double meaning; for example ‘Book‘ could mean a reading theme or a specific book title or theme and ‘Rainbow’ may refer to a rainbow or the colours of the rainbow!  Please mention which words you have chosen and how they inspired you – especially if it isn’t obvious!

Today I decided to use a stamp set and stencil from our sponsor Newton’s Noook. After stamping the truck from the Spring Haul stamp set, it was copic coloured and then fussy cut. It was then added to the torn tag along with a sentiment from NN – Birthday Oval stamp set.

My card today features Stampingbella – Uptown Girl – Melinda has a Map stamp coloured with copics. This is an old stamp bought about 2017, but sadly no longer available. The small sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

The panel was then cut using Altnew – Nesting Ovals die.

It was then added to a card base covered with designer paper. The larger sentiment from the stamp set was fussy cut before being added.

I’m back with a reminder for our March Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge!  This month our option is “On the Farm”!  But as always you can play along with Anything Goes!! I hope you will find time to join in!

I found these hens I stamped at a friend’s and decided to make a little scene.

The hens are PB – Woodblock Carolers, coloured with copic markers.

Love To Craft Challenge – Joy

Hello again

I am back with another project over at  Love to Craft! Challenge. As always  LTCCB challenges are Anything Goes. The challenges goes for 6 weeks. So for this challenge from November 1st through to December 15th 2024.

For this challenge we are showcasing some sweet little ‘ Cute Penguin Gifts’ digis from polkadoodles UK. https://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/penguin-gifts-digital-stamp-download-winnie-white-christmas-printables/

Maybe they will inpsire you to use one yourself. They would be fun for lots of occasions.

After printing, I traced the penguin onto my panel die cut with Postage die Frame.

After colouring with copic markers, I added some sosft ink blending fading down from the top using the die as the mask.

It was then added to the card front covered with DP. The sentiment die is from Sizzix, aain coloured with copic markers.

I had lots of fun playing with the fun Colorado Craft – So Sweet Slimline stamp Set. I loved it the first time I saw it, but it’s been sitting in my basket waiting to shine! This challenge was the perfect occasion!

After stamping, the cute images were copic coloured.

The ‘Sweet’ die cut is from CUTplorations and the sentiments were from Honey Bee – Thinking of You and Kaisercraft – Mini Birthday stamp set.

For this challenge I chose Altnew’s Rose Tea stamp, copic coloured after a little alteration of the cup to fit my needs. It was then fussy cut. I have had this set in my stash for a few years now but this is the first time I’ve used it! At last!!!! 🙂

Hello again

I am thrilled to be back for the new year with another project over at  Love to Craft! Challenge. As always  LTCCB challenge this month is Anything Goes. The challenges goes for 6 weeks. So for this challenge from September 1 to October 15 2023.

Today I am posting a box of note papers, I covered and added a very cute image from Gorjuss designs. 

I brought out my copics to colour this sweet image. I love the crisp look of the copics and the ease of addding shading to give depth and dimension to the image. A fun project.

To finish, I also added a strip of washy tape and a small circle.

These projects make for a great little gift for any occassion.
