Penny Black Saturday Challenge – October 2025

I was thrilled to have my card selected in AAA Birthday Game #78- Ombre October, Top 4. Thanks so much!

Hello and welcome

I’m back with the Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday October Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional – Too Cute to Spook!

I chose the cute option as you probably guessed.

The litle chef mouse is from PB – Birthday Critters stamp set. It’s the first time I’ve used these cuties! After Distress ink watercolouring, I fussy cut him out.

After ombre ink blending a panel, it was added to the card front and sprayed with PerfectPearls spray for a little shine and textured look. The sentiment is from PB – It’s Your Day stamp set.

It was then time to add the mouse to finish this sweet CAS card.

I was thrilled to have my card selected in the Top 3 over at We Love Stamping. Thank you so much to the team for the honour!

Hello and welcome

At Time Out we have a new challenge that opens today and runs through June 18. This time it is a Pick Two challenge. The idea of this challenge is very simple: we give you 6 word prompts and you pick at least 2 for your project!  To be clear, you can pick all 6 if you really want to stretch yourself but you only must choose 2!

The words for Challenge #290 are: Weather, Recycle, Ribbon, Repeat, Bold and Place

We are sponsored by our own Design Team Member, Kate Lesh, who is generously offering Sizzix Thinlets Die Set 664379 Garden Shed by Sophie Guilar as the prize for our Challenge Winner as chosen by the Design Team.

In addition, our Challenge Winner, will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

Pick 2 Challenges are always lots of fun. I chose Bold (both in size and the flower colours) and Ribbon for my choices.

I started by stamping the beautiful Colorado Craft Company’s Big & Bold -Perfume Bouquet stamp set, including some of the sentiments in the set.

After stamping the image, it was watercoloured using Distress Inks. The sentiments were gold embossed and the ribbon pieces added as a finishing touch with the little embossed tag added over the ribbon.

My card features PB – Magnolia Rhapdsody stamp. It was stamped using Distress Inks.

The sentiment is from PB – Special Thoughts stamp set.

I added a panel for ink blending using Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry.

Time Out #288

Hello and welcome

Time Out has a new challenge that opens today and runs through May 21. This time it is a Celebrating Star Wars. May the 4th be with you!

(Think Movie series, celestial, sky, northern lights, etc. )

I changed tack this week and decided to have some fun.

After making my celestial background with Distress inks, I framed the panel with MFT – Pierced Rectangle Dies.

I love the wonderful soft colours used in the background and softened further with a dark colour around the edges to highlight the look of the night sky.

The image is from Colorado Craft- Anita Jeram image – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star set. Colour came from a little alcohol inks. A created a little Light Sabre for the little mouse to carry. After fussy cutting, everything was added to the card front.

I decided to make another ‘cute’ card for this month’s challenge. It features these sweet little images and sentiments from PB – It’s Your Day and PB – Bubbly stamp sets.

They worked perfectly with the Waffle Flower -Postage Collage Die.

Both the postage die and images having been sitting waiting to make a debut and this week they are! I love both!!

The images were Distress watercoloured with some light innk blending around the ‘stamps’!

It’s time for our new challenge over at Time Out! We ask you to be inspired by this beautiful photo!

I love the beach / ocean so I was excited about this challenge.

I chose HA – Seas the Day Seagulls stamp set. After stamping and colouring the images with alcohol ink markers I fussy cut them.

The background was ink blended following the colours in the photo using Distress Inks and a circle stencil.

The elements were then all added to create the scene along with the sentiment from HA – Hello There Stamp & Cut set.

Just a reminder for the March Challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge!  The theme  is  Anything Goes (Optional – Easter).

As usual, we are sponsored by the awesome

Again I haven’t gone for Easter but Anything Goes.

I chose the beautiful “Blooming Boots” stamp. I’ve always loved this stamp from when I first bought it over a year ago.

For a bit of fun, after the flowers were Distress watercoloured, I stamped the boots again on some glossy pattern paper, fussy cut them and added them to the original image. I thought it looked cute. The shine made me think of some of the rubber boots I’ve seen.

The panel then had some ink blending around the edge, mounted on yellow before being added to the card front!

The sentiment is PB – ‘Sprinkles and Smiles’ stamp set.
