More mending in sight

The old quilt that I repaired has sprung a leak. I replaced all of the fabric squares and reinforced some of the strips in between the squares, but not all of them. Here, some of the old fabric has given way.

Berry baby hat

This is made with remnants of wool from two other projects. It’s supposed to look like a berry — an alien berry like a koomatka, perhaps.

A new trick

I learned to knit in Brownies. I made a pot-holder. Now, after many years, I’ve made a scarf. I called it the test scarf because if it turned out that I couldn’t knit, it would be discarded. Instead, I think it turned out rather well, with regular stitches. The yarn provides a pleasing variation in colour.

The yarn in Charisma super-bulky, and the colour is called Ashes.
