The entertainment world through my eyes

MoonChyld’s Entertainment – Craig David Celebrates 25 Years & Counting in the Industry

With his recent album Commitment, Craig David coincides the release of this chart-topping project with celebrating the milestone of being in the business for 25 years, starting with the Grammy Award nominated Born To Do It (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Fill Me In – 2002 & 7 Days – 2003) with no real drama that you would see in the tabloids, if there were any at all. Well…there was a major one but we’re not going to get into that. Especially when he wasn’t at fault; but I digress. As we all have been enjoying these new set of tunes, I would like to share 25 (or more) of MCE’s many favorite songs by one of the best artists from the UK. We have to start at the beginning of course:

Rewind – Born to Do It

While he got early notoriety as a cowriter to Damage’s track, I’m Ready, his collaboration with Artful Dodger is what put him on the UK map planting the seed on who this featured singer was. It is one of the mainstays in his TS5 shows & is a definite crowd pleaser. It gets the vibe going for sure.

Fill Me In – Born To Do It

For so many, including myself, this song was the introduction to UK’s newest artist to the world. You can tell this was not a fly by night/one hit wonder kind of artist; there was something about this vibe he gave. Not to mention he brought the garage sound more to the forefront.

Exception to the Rule – Deep Cut

This beautiful song was brought to my attention by a friend & I have to say this is a song that would make a girl fall hard for the guy that had zero problem in expressing himself in this way. Who hasn’t met someone they instantly connected with only to find they’re in a relationship with someone else? Despite all that, you have strong feelings that are so strong they can’t be contained. Within reason of course. She is definitely like anyone he’s seen.

Rise & Fall (Featuring Sting) – Slicker Than Your Average

This move is not only iconic, it’s also a genius one. The sampled song is Shape of My Heart by Police frontman Sting from his solo album Ten Summoner’s Tales. On top of that, the man himself is featured in the song that expresses the good & the bad points of becoming famous & the expectations it can entail. The flow of Craig’s voice in this song is so smooth & clean (Burned all my bridges, now I’ve run out of places). To have Sting featured in the track brings about an already growing fanbase for Craig. Being a Sting fan myself, this proves that point. Sting even added this song to his 2021 album Duets.

Booty Man – Born To Do It

I have made this song my main alarm on my phone for when I need to wake up for work. The reason being that the start of the song, to me, sounds like the sun rising. While it gives a soft & airy vibe, the story within the song is about Craig meeting & making a connection if you will, with a young lady he met in a club. They seem to hit it off nicely & give into the moment. Even though he was the one who didn’t want to rush things, she basically lets him know it’s alright. Well, you know what happened after that.

Friday Night – Trust Me

The song title speaks for itself; this is only to be played on Friday nights. Especially after a long work week! This song has an old school big funk band vibe to it like Earth, Wind & Fire. I’ve said this before & I’ll say it again – this song gives you the energy to get ready for a fun night out with friends. This would make for a great live performance with a badass band that would make the crowd roar with excitement & they would vibe with him. This is a true party song that you would never get tired of. Trust me.

Hypnotic – The Story Goes…

This is one of those sensually flirty songs that succeeds in grabbing her attention. Apparently, he’s in the club & sees an attractive woman on the dancefloor getting her groove on. He instantly knows that he wants to get to know her & is transfixed with her that to him, his beauty is hypnotic. The feeling of this song is as if he has his hands at the curves of her hips & whispering in her ear how ‘so damn fly’ she is. It would be at that moment their energies of attraction are melding.

No Drama – As a featured artist for fellow DJ James Hype

No Drama is a song you would play when you want to vent out some heavy stresses of the day, or week for that matter. This is one of those songs that can have more than one viewpoint to it. One could look at it as a couple talking through things & putting the drama behind them. Another can look at this song as a source of release of the unnecessary drama that people bring your way that you didn’t need or ask for. The music is upbeat & the message in the song is motivating.

Hidden Agenda – Slicker Than Your Average

Imagine a guy sees you with someone who he knows isn’t worthy of you. That same guy is one of your closest friends who has feelings for you & has no problem letting you know. He wants you to know that he knows you deserve better & is willing to be the one who treats you as you should be treated. He has zero problem in calling this guy out. The song gives off an island kind of vibe while still conveying that loving message of him wanting to be with you.

Intimate – As a Featured Artist for British Rapper/Singer/Songwriter Yungen

Craig makes yet another great collaboration with Hip Hop Artist Yungen. Not only did he co-write this song, but he also provided the hook & bridge with his beautiful voice. Intimate is about connecting & recognizing the mutual attraction. It also expressed how he gives it to her so good, she’s calling him & wanting more in the morning, because he knows that’s what she wanted. The video is nice too! It takes place in a barbershop named 7 Days which is a callback to the Craig David classic. It is also what inspired me to get a pair of those sweet Fila shoes that were featured in the video.

7 Days – Born To Do It

Craig is basically talking with his friends about a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his way to see another friend of his. He then gives you a breakdown of the events of the week. The video is cool using the Groundhog Day film reference. Having the opportunity to correct a simple mistake after a simple mistake and making it right. One can hope for such a chance like that. But no matter what, always remember the petro.

Warm It Up – Following My Intuition

This is a great summer choice to get the vibe going at a get together with friends. The song is very upbeat & has that tropical island energy. From what I can gather, he wants her to get things started – hence Warm It Up. And is it the ‘it’ we’re thinking of? Well, you know the saying, they plump when you cook ‘em.

Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance) – Trust Me

For us 80’s kids, this song was rockin right from the start as we loved the music of David Bowie & his song Let’s Dance. To see that Craig wonderfully sampled the iconic track for Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance). We weren’t the only ones who enjoyed the super energetic song, so did Bowie himself! Upon asking to be able to sample the song, the legendary rock star & fashion icon gave his blessing; we’re happy that he did. This song is one for the clubs to get the energy going. The speed & flow of his vocals will get you moving on the dance floor & singing along.

Who You Are (Featuring Mnek) – 22

This heartfelt track with singer/songwriter/producer Mnek can be shared with someone who feels out of place & thinks they can’t fit in. It can be shared with someone who is critical of their physical appearance. It can be shared with someone who is part of the LGBTQ community who feels like there’s no one in their corner. The overall message in this song is unconditional love & acceptance. The video conveys said message & it also expresses that self-love & care is very important. It would make a great source material for someone struggling with mental health. At the end of the day, you are not to conform to make others feel comfortable. You are unique, amazing, intelligent & beautiful in your own way. That is the beauty of individuality. Forget the insecure naysayers & be true to who you are.

Officially Yours – Trust Me

This beautiful ballad has Craig stating his claim & professing his love to someone who he regrets letting go. He’s taking accountability to what he did wrong to cause her to walk away from the relationship. When I listen to this song, I sometimes think it would be romantic to see someone use this song in the way John Cusak’s character Lloyd used Peter Gabrielle’s classic In Your Eyes. He is aware of her value & feels she is the one he wants to spend his life with. As the song progresses, so does his feelings, your heart sores more as you sense that what he’s expressing is true & deeply from the heart.

Better Days (I Came By Train) – For the I Came By Train Campaign supported by Trainline

Used to bring awareness on what we can do to make out planet a healthier & economically better place to live in, this beautiful video/song was a part of Trainline’s campaign I Came By Train with the objective to fight climate change & showing that taking the train instead of driving creates 67% less CO2 (per the campaign’s site & the video). The imagery of the video compliments the beauty of the song.

Heartline – The Time Is Now

At the risk of sounding repetitive (too late), Heartline is another song that raises the endorphins & puts in one of the happiest feelings. The title of the song is perfect as the feeling being conveyed was a guy is putting his heart on the line for the woman he’s drawn to. He’s willing to do what it takes to have a chance at happiness with her. This is another one of my favorite songs to dance the day away with. The bridge gets me every time.

Best of Me – 22 (Deluxe Edition)

Sampling Mariah Carey’s hit song Heartbreaker by way of lyrical melody, Craig is telling his love interest how she makes him feel & he wants to show her that he can make her happy & give her the love she deserves. Letting her know that she has the best of who he is. If you listen closely, you can hear the melody of the chorus to Heartbreaker in the chorus for this song. Love it!

Johnny – The Story Goes…

While this song is from the 2005 album, it is still so relevant today. In some way, shape or form, someone has experienced being bullied in their life. For the most part, the bully is jealous of the person they’re bullying because of various reasons like not having the best home life, taking the other person’s kindness for a weakness, or deep down they think there’s no way they can be accepted as a friend. This is a very relatable song as I have been bullied when I was a kid & it was just as bad as Craig shared through song. I feel this song can hit the listener deep & also show that you can prevail from this stage in your life with a loving support system & true friends.

Insomnia – Greatest Hits

A true dance song that gets you on your feet with the techno lights going. The vibe of the song reminds me of Closer by Ne-Yo. This amazing track lets the listener know that his world isn’t right without her in it. It’s on his mind so much, he can’t sleep. This is one of those many musical examples of loving someone hard.

Teardrops – 22

As soon as this song came through my ears, it took me back to one of the good times of my life & great memories my friends & I created in the summer of 1998, because that was the year They Don’t Know by Jon B. was released & already in heavy rotation. The. To hear Craig breaking down the ups & downs of the relationship only to come to an end, despite the love still being there. You can hear in his voice he doesn’t want to break up but it has to happen.

Love Will Come Around – The Time Is Now

Craig knows how to express his love to the woman who holds his heart. The declaration he gives in this song is incredibly beautiful. He is letting her know that he will be there for her through thick & thin. That she has no worries. No matter what the tone of the song is, there is sure to be some mention of the girl’s friends on the outside looking in with something to say to throw things off. The point is, do not let someone in your ear blocking a blessing that is in the for of a man with a heart like his, a heart that will show how much you mean to him.

Abracadabra – Deep Cut as a featured artist for Wes Nelson

I know there are many fans of the reality show Love Island who are familiar with Wes Nelson, this fun song was my introduction to him. This track has one of the most debatable lyrics in it – Champagne in jacuzzi or Champane and jacuzzi. Either way it sounds like fun times. I always felt from the start that it was the former. Great fun song, nonetheless.

Magic (Featuring British Rapper Yxng Bane) – The Time Is Now

I really love this version of the song. Now while there is no change in the melody of the song, having Yxng Bane on the track added an additional vibe that flowed well with what Craig already brought to the song. I would take the verse being repeated by Craig as a way to emphasize & ensure how true his feelings are for her. To say that when someone can be this happy with you to the point that is like magic. That is a heart skipping “I feel so special” kind of vibe.

When You Know What Love Is – Deep Cut

This song has in my opinion, one of the best accompanying videos I’ve seen for a song. The video tells a sweet story of a cute chance meeting between two people. What’s another great element to this is that neither planned for it to happen. You can hear it in the song how happy & excited he is to have found this connection, especially when he wasn’t looking for it. In most cases, the best love can be found when you’re not looking for it.

What Your Flava? – Slicker Than Your Average

Unless you have been living under a rock to not recognize this video pays homage to the classic film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, it’s very cool. From the beginning to the end, you see various scenes being played out including my favorite – the Oompa Loompas! Like Juicy Fruit by Mtume, Craig gives some sensual innuendos with What’s Your Flava? It’s a hip shaking song of the millennium with 90’s energy. This song can still rock today & the reaction at his shows when he performs it is proof of that.

Got It Good – Featured Artist on KAYTRANADA’s album 99.9%

If there was a way to express your gratitude towards the woman who has been there for you from day one & believed in you, this is how you show it. Craig knows his lady has been by his side from the ground up. He knows that she cares for the amazing person that he is. I love that last line in the 1st verse – Treat you like the Queen at Buckingham Palace, yeah. Every woman wants to be treated like a Queen!! The track flows smooth like butter.

Rendezvous – Born To Do It

This was a sign of things to come with Craig. He was getting his footing in with regard to honing the vibe, the groove of his sound and what a way to do it. With this track, Craig gives off a smooth R&B vibe. Definitely a song to groove to, especially the hook. Even the video gives that look of a smooth R&B video. The element of Craig being an arrogant ladies’ man who just knew he can get any girl he wants with that smile, those eyes and the right thing to say was very familiar to see. The energy is tempting but it can also be very tricky, if you’re not familiar with the game he’s playing. Who didn’t encounter a guy like this? Then there’s the element of Craig being a more trusting one-woman man who has a close relationship with his family – my kind of guy.

Honorable Mentions:

Rain – Commitment – Check out my review of this song.

In It With You (Featuring JoJo) – Commitment – Check out my review of this song.

Dominoes – Commitment – Check out my Commitment album review.

16 – Following My Intuition – A song that was first seen & heard on BBC Radio 1 w/Mista Jam & Kurupt FM, a wish was granted to have this immortalized on an album.

I Know You (Featuring Bastille) – The Time Is Now – A new anthem for a fun night out with friends. And to have the band Bastille on the song is stellar!

All Alone Tonight – Signed Sealed Delivered – Putting a spin on the Stylistics hit is a great listen. And the video showed some great views of Miami.

One thing we can all say for certain; Craig David is a musical force that should be recognized more. And thanks to music streams & YouTube, Craig is getting the recognition he more than deserves. Make no mistake, it is easy to see that his is very happy & living his best life. He has been given so much love from his family, close friends and many music lovers around the world. I appreciate that through his music, Craig has introduced some great artists to us. I will not stress this enough; his music has brought this writer joy & cheered me up when the moment called for it. In his 25 years in the business, Craig has grown as a writer & producer. His TS5 shows continue to grow a fan base & the crowds are getting bigger with each performance. By way of his book, he shared how his music tells stories of his life experiences. Thus, making him a more relatable artist.

Happy 25 Years Craig!!! We look forward to the next 25!!

That’s my opinion & everyone’s entitled to one.

MoonChyld’s Entertainment – ICYMI: Chris Brown Brings Euphoric Love with Holy Blindfold

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know about of Chris Brown’s summer hit singles Holy Blindfold, and how it has dominated the airwaves & YouTube as well as how great it’s done on the charts. Both the song & the video (especially the video) gives off major Michael Jackson vibes. As a plethora of people know, MJ was a huge influence on Brown, and it shows in the video his flawless moves.

The video directed by Travis Colbert & choreographed by Josh Smith, shows the makings of a physical connection through dance & euphoric energy, with an angelic being portrayed by dancer Nataly Santiago. The moves are silky smooth that brings home the point that there was some MJ influence involved. The rhythm of the song would be something the Hold My Hand singer would groove to, the shorts on social media can attest to that.

It seems like the angel was granted a day to be on Earth and connect with Chris, the human she’s been watching over. There is a quick unification between the two that shows the viewer another level of falling in love with someone. The routine is so smooth that there has been a challenge of doing said routine on social media that has become as much of a trend as the routine for his song It Depends. The melody is like a vibe mix of Sail Away by Enya & Epilogue by Di Johnston.

This is a beautiful level of intimacy. It’s not about the visual here, it’s an energy type vibe. There’s a strong connection to be had when you focus beyond the surface. The angelic being can represent the love that he’s longed for. The blindfold can represent seeing the good thing about someone from the inside & not at face value. Thus begins – for lack of a better word – tantric connection between the human & the angel. They begin to develop a euphoric kind of love that can be overwhelming or exciting or both.

The lyrics take you to a mindset of Chris finding a love that has been blessed upon him. The hook is one that lives up to the musical meaning of the word, because it hooks you in. The song can put you in a relaxing mood and it is one that will get people on the dancefloor and let the body enjoy the rhythm.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

MoonChyld’s Entertainment – Craig David Continues His ‘Commitment’ to His Craft

The wait is over!! The long-awaited 9th studio album from Craig David has been released. Commitment is another labor of love by the artist who is celebrating 25 years of a career in the music industry that he established on his own terms & it has more than paid off for him. The title of the album is spot on; Commitment is the center of relationships. It’s known to be a strong bond that can come with its ups & downs. It can also be broken, and that comes with heartache & emotional pain. That’s where music comes in. Music is an element that can start the healing process & allows the listener to have clarity, reflect on the knowledge to not let it all consume them. The songs on this album can be a source of just that, healing the heart. Now make no mistake, there are some tunes that you can vibe with & as Prince eloquently said – get your groove on. Prior to the release of the highly anticipated set of songs that resonate feelings from across the board, we have had the pleasure of hearing these gems – In Your Hands, SOS, Commitment, Wake Up, In It with You & Rain. Now that we have the full album, we have the complete musical treasure. Here are the remaining gems from the album.

Leave the Light On (with Louisa Johnson)

This upbeat song gives the visual of a couple at an outdoor event where the energy of the song is infectious. They are singing this to each other and the love they are sharing grows with every moment they have together. Louisa has a beautiful & soulful voice that is reminiscent to Jesse J & Leona Lewis. The latter especially with those high notes she hits. It is one that can raise the endorphins and put the listener in a happy mood with the thoughts of their significant other. The rhythm & beat will get you to dance out the day & have that feel good vibe.

Mr. Right

The synthesized drumbeats are sweet with this H Money produced track!! Professing his love for her while letting her know that he’s patient & there for her. Sounds like she is very guarded with her heart due to her previous experiences; he recognizes this & is very understanding. He’s showing her that he’s not like the guys before him. She has a great guy who wants to be with her and be ‘the light that’s shining brightly in (her) eyes’. One can only dream about finding this level of Mr. Right.

Side Note: And have you noticed that the word rewind is always somewhere on one or two songs in the album? Nice to see that shout out. At least it gets me to thinking of Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta) whenever I hear the word sang in the songs. Almost as if that was reminder that he’ll never forget how it all started.

Dominoes

It is never good to hold in the pain, it’ll eat you up inside. Many of us have been there a time or two. Craig is saying that when times get rough & stressful, you can lean on him for support – When you’re feeling like you can’t hide/How you feeling on the inside. It’s about being able to trust someone. Having that genuine friend or loved one. If there was a way to get the message across to someone close to you to let them know that no matter what they can turn to you, this is one of those songs. This can be considered the song that puts you in deep thoughts. Whether you’re the person in need of a friend or the friend lending a shoulder. The piano melody reminded me a little of the song Meant to Be by BeBe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line, but a little slower.

Your Way

How many of us have known someone like this? Ladies, we have had that friend who acted like they can get their way because they’re ‘looking so fit’. And if that doesn’t happen, she’s ready to throw in the towel. Only to turn around & ease her way back in as if nothing happened. She’s not interested in having a conversation about what made her storm off in the first place; acting like the entitled person she thinks she is. We want to shake some sense into that friend. She needs to understand that it can’t be just a one-sided relationship. It’s called a partnership for a reason – But when it comes to me and you girl, it’s important/More than just having your way. One would think that she’s used to being the controlling one in the relationship. You can end up losing someone so good for you, good to you, and it will be due to you being so self-absorbed; wanting to have it your way.

Last Chance with You

In this track, Craig has another opportunity to be with the woman he was drawn to but wasn’t quite ready to make the first move. Now that he’s ready for love and want to give his love to this special woman, there is no way he is going to let this moment slip through his fingers. It’s not every day that a guy will put themselves out there & take a chance at love. This is another song where it can go both ways, meaning we as women have been in that situation as well. Wanting to take a chance on the guy we have been crushing on but took a step back until we were sure the time was right.

Perfect Love

Call me crazy, but this would be a sweet flash mob moment. A beautiful gesture to show her that he loves her. That he values her. She would for sure fall hard for him. He’s telling her that she not only is worth the wait, but she’s also worth fighting for. It is a beautiful feeling when we meet a guy that pays attention to detail of how he first met us. Then over time, she sees a happy future with us and the connection grows. He is willing to help in the healing process because he sees someone who is deserving of genuine happiness. He sees beyond the surface and finds the beauty within; seeing his perception of perfection.

So Special

This is that pure joy feeling for someone. You know that when you link up – it’s a vibe. A very good vibe at that. You don’t need much to have a good time & enjoying each other’s company. Nothing better than being around that one person who puts a smile on your face & makes your heart skip a beat. We can all agree that having a good time together doesn’t cost a dime; despite how some would feel differently. Love the feeling of butterflies doing flips in your stomach & feeling excited to see that one who exactly that – makes you feel so special. And just by listening to this track, you hear how he is equally excited to see her.

Commitment is an album that proves you’ll have more than one favorite Craig David song to add to your playlist. His music is a healing element for so many; be it the day ones or new listeners. It also presents why I consider him to be my musical best friend. And that is to say that his music brings joy and puts the mind on a calming level. It brings positive vibes. It brings inspiration. And it makes people feel that they’re not the only ones who believe there is such a thing as genuine love, and it can be obtained.

I highly recommend this album as it is definitely one to be in heavy rotation & I can see many indie artists sharing their renditions of these songs on their YouTube channels; especially Dominoes & Rain. With longtime collaborators Mike Brainchild & Tre Jean-Marie, it comes to no surprise that this record is as stellar as it is. And it’s also not surprising that this is a top 10 album on the Official Albums Chart Update list on Official Charts at #7. No doubt that it will be climbing up the charts. Overall, each song holds meaning and we are all happy that this young boy from Southampton grew to be the wonderful man we’ve seen him become; continuing with his ‘Commitment’ to bringing his A game every time. Thank you Craig, and keep those positive vibes coming.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

MoonChyld’s Entertainment – Craig’s Final Single Brings the ‘Rain’

The R&B/Garage artist has brought it to us as per usual. Rain is Craig David’s last single before his August 8th release of his 9th studio album Commitment. The vibe of this song is similar to that of Officially Yours from his Trust Me album.

Co-written by Craig, Talay Riley & Tre Jean-Marie who also produced it, Rain is stripped down to just an acoustic guitar & his melodic voice. The video & song are taking off several layers to show a hint of vulnerability expressing that deep feeling of a broken heart. Like Teardrops, this presents the feeling that while love is still there, and as much as you don’t want to, going separate ways is the best option to move forward. There is some rawness in the sense that there’s nothing added to the song by way of other musical elements; there’s no need for it.

This is a song that should be placed on a list of great acoustic songs. Which proves my point as to why acoustic music should be praised more. There’s a more realistic & understanding vibe where the listener is pulled into the song more because they may find some familiarity to the message of the song. The hook to this song is truly heart grabbing, it flows very well. It’s symbolic, meaning the rain symbolizes tears for a relationship he doesn’t want to let go of. He feels there is some room to talk things over & work it out, but it could be too late; it seems like her mind is made up.

You don’t have to say it
‘Cause I already know
Things ain’t the same
But I thought it would blow over
Thought we could patch it up
Guess I was wrong, end of the day
I gotta move on

The video (Directed by collaborator MFB) is symbolic as well. He’s alone with his thoughts about how the relationship could go left and not be saved. For it to be in black & white, conveys the sad emotions of losing the core of your heart. It also keeps Craig as the main focal point of someone sharing the hurt he’s dealing with.

There are deep feelings within the lyrics. For example, for her Mother to say that he made her daughter’s house a home again hits hard. It means a lot when the Mom sees the good in the man her daughter is dating. He’s protecting his heart from any further pain.

My heart don’t feel no better
Underneath this umbrella, rain
My heart don’t feel no better
I don’t want this stormy weather to stay

For us 90’s teens, Rain brings us back to the vibe of 90’s R&B. The overlapping of the vocals reminds me a bit of Boyz II Men. A great example to show what 90’s R&B was like when we were vibing to it in high school & college. Always good to go back to the time when some of our best memories were created. Despite the tone of this track. Best believe this one here is right on time for someone who has either experienced this or is going through it as we speak. Like many of his songs before this one, it has been added to the soundtrack of the lives of many. It will be a go to song for when the feeling calls for it. I have always felt that music can be used as a form of conversation to bring a point across. Rain can fall into that format as well. It is safe to say that Commitment will be an amazing album based on the singles that have been released. I for one am looking forward to hearing the finished product this Friday. In the meantime, enjoy the new singles…including Rain.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

Craig & JoJo Are ‘In It’ With Their New Heartfelt Single

Duets we didn’t know we needed:

Prince & Angie Stone

George Michael & Whitney Houston

Tony Bennett & Lady GaGa

Ne-Yo & Celine Dion

And now…Craig David & JoJo.

These two wonderful artists have come together & gave us a beautiful song in In It With You for Craig’s upcoming album Commitment, set to be released in August.

The song – especially the chorus – can be perceived as declaration for lifelong friendships by some. It is definitely overall a song expressing the love within a strong loving relationship. It truly pulls at the heartstrings, and it made this writer think about someone from once upon a time….and they are still relevant.

The musical chemistry between Craig & JoJo is so heartfelt and there is not one missed note. The video is a beautiful moveable work of art. The interaction between them throughout the video was something of respect. Meaning that there was much respect for JoJo’s space. Something I took from his book when it came to boundaries. While the message of caring and always being there for each other is expressed as well as the two enjoying each other’s company, there is also a respect for boundaries. It was refreshing to see a music video where the guy didn’t have to be all over a woman to show how much he’s into her.

As seen in the video, they are meeting up and hanging around London where we the viewers are given a little tour of the beautiful city with Big Ben, the London Eye, a tour boat on the River Thames and a double-decker bus on the bridge as well as the beauty of the parks and the vibe of the city. The start of this meet up was a little bumpy as it appears she was stuck in traffic in her cab, and they seemed to have missed each other by what seemed like about 10 minutes (maybe less). But they do eventually make it happen & it’s a lovely day that ended with a beautiful rooftop set up with wine & conversation. Who wouldn’t love that right?

A Couple of Side Notes: 1. JoJo, girl! You are one of the luckiest people in the world to have the cab driver find you and return your phone! And 2. I love the outfit!! Where can we find that? I’m really loving the jacket.

Co-written by David, Mike Brainchild & Negin Djafari – produced by Brainchild, this is certainly a labor of love by two amazing music artists I have followed from the start of their respective music careers. JoJo has grown so much as an artist, and I am not at all surprised by that. From Leave (Get Out) to Too Little Too Late to Rise Up (a playlist mainstay that I strongly recommend you checking out) to Man, she has kept it on the up and up with her voice; still hitting those high notes.

Whoever had the bright idea of getting these two in the studio together deserves a bonus. The harmonies are golden, the vibe of the song is positive, and the video is one of beautiful visualizations. And we are all definitely…. In It With Them.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

Craig David Keeps the Garage Sound Alive with ‘Wake Up’

Southampton native Craig David just keeps pumping out the hits – Wake Up is no different. He takes the listener back to the early days of his career with this track by the re-introduction of the Garage Sound, a genre that originated in the UK in the 90’s.

The melody does take the listeners back to those great days, especially for those of us who were there during our high school & college years, hanging out with friends & enjoying the good vibes. This can be seen in the video as well by way of the visual mix of 90’s & current day vibes. To be one of the lucky ones who went to parties & festivals at that time, you can relate to the clips in this video because this is how we would jam; our lives ahead of us. This is just the type of song you would hear at these events, get togethers & clubs.

The official music video dropped om May 6 & like his SOS video, it shows an experience shared in his book What’s Your Vibe?: Tuning Into Your Best Life. A young Craig gets a turntable for his birthday, thus beginning his personal music journey that we have come to love & jam to for over 20 years.

There’s a familiar face, Ethan Bywater, who previously appeared in the In Your Hands video, returns to portray Craig as a teenager. And it has been made into a family affair with his little brother Ezra portraying Craig in his younger days. We also see a teenage JoJo making music & playing video games which is a cute moment. They have a song together on the upcoming Commitment album called In It With You; I’m very much looking forward to hearing that song.

MC Bushkins of the Heartless Crew & the legendary DJ Spoony from the Dreem Teem add to the energy of the garage music vibe while giving a subtle shoutout to Garage Nation on the turntable stand. Garage Nation is a grand festival event that is very popular in the UK & Amsterdam. Definitely something to experience from what I can see – take a look.

To me, the message of this song is that the young lady he’s interested in opening her eyes to something great that is right in front of her. The lyrics to this song gets to the heart of expressing oneself and creating the opportunity of a caring relationship that is deserving of them. Who wouldn’t want that right?

Teenage JoJo & Craig

For example:

You better wake
Up to the fact that
You’re turning your back
On the best thing you ever had

Wake Up should definitely be a part of the DJ’s playlist as it can work as either a segway song or one that can be mixed with another that would enhance the vibe of the crowd. This genre is the seed that planted the continuous growing career of the SOS singer. It falls in line with When the Baseline Drops, Do You Miss Me Much & Rewind to name a few. This is another hit for the summer and just in time for his TS5 Ibiza Rocks shows; it’s a party starter for sure. It’s only going to get better & better from here.

This is the fourth single from his upcoming 9th album titled Commitment which set to be released on August 8th. You can pre-order the album on his site as well as set it up for streaming on Amazon Music, iTunes, Spotify & other streaming services upon availability.

That’s my opinion & everyone’s entitled to one.

Craig David & Tiwa Savage Collaborate For a ‘Commitment’ to Good Vibes

There have been many times in music where you can listen to a song & instantly feel like that song would be great for the summer season – Commitment is just one of those songs.

By now, you should know that the multi-platinum music artist Craig David’s recently released single Commitment is a melodic conversation with Nigerian music artist Tiwa Savage. He has introduced this writer to some great collaborators like Yungen, KSI, Wes Nelson & James Hype – Tiwa is in great company. She has a beautiful harmonizing voice that gives off vibes reminiscent to Sevyn Streeter. The melody definitely gives off the feeling the single’s cover conveys; the video does as well. They both provide a warm & sensual feeling, definitely ready for the summer. Craig is one of those real music artists who goes above & beyond with his music & is open to the style of other artists thus sharing his interest with his listeners around the world.

Now the video…video is artistically fire!! The tones & visuals add to the sensuality of the song. This is a great platform for Tiwa’s fan base to grow further. This is not to say that she doesn’t have a following because based on the comments of the video, she absolutely does. This will bring about a broader audience.

There are various styles of videos that I love. The mini movies, the concert videos with relatable energy of the crowd & the fun silly ones. Then there’s videos like Commitment. The video exudes a euphoric feeling without having to go overboard with it. Thus, presenting a display a moveable work of art. The colors and tones in the video go well with the vibe of the song itself – passionate. The chemistry between Craig & Tiwa are musically beautiful. It is emphasized in the video as well.

Commitment is worthy of any playlist for the avid music lover; something for a great date night. It will definitely make your body move with the rhythm as you’re swaying your hips with your partner. As per usual, Craig doesn’t skip a beat with his music. This was truly an envisioned collaboration & we are happy it came to fruition. I believe this is the 2nd time Craig has worked with director MFB, who also directed his SOS video; he has a good eye for visualizing.

Commitment is a song that you can dedicate to someone you are into that may be afraid to make that next step. This is a song that I believe will be performed at the Summer Sessions in Southampton this year, I look forward to seeing the video of that performance.

Take a look at the video in you haven’t already & let me know what you think about it.

That’s my opinion and everyone is entitled to one.

Craig David Brings the Love with SOS

SOS is available for your listening enjoyment on Amazon Music, Spotify & Apple Music.

British music artist Craig David does it again with his recently released single SOS; he continues to bring the positive vibes.  For those of us who’ve purchased & read his book, What’s Your Vibe?: Tuning Into Your Best Life, we knew instantly at the start of this video when he couldn’t get his SUV started, he brought to life a similar incident that happened while he was living in Miami, Florida, where it also rained that evening.

SOS conveys the feeling of having made an instant connection with someone that is so strong, you’re beginning to fall in love with that person. Not to say that it’s impossible to find love fast because it has been known to happen. Think about it, was there ever a time, you made a connection to where you wanted nothing more than to be with that person? Then this song is for you. If you’ve listened to Craig’s music in the last 5 years, specifically the album The Time Is Now, you can hear some similar elements of Heartline – one of my personal favorites on the album. I for one don’t see an issue with this; I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that.

Craig is an artist that has more than come into his own by having his own sound, his own vibe, that for over 20 years so many have grown to love and have continued on the musical journey with the In Your Hands singer. You can hear how he draws inspiration from artists that have been influential to him throughout his career. He has a voice that is calming and easy to sing along with, SOS comes across as Craig opening up his heart to love again.

As stated earlier, the music video directed by MFB is basically taken from the pages of his book. With that being said, it would make one wonder if this was going through his head. He was vibing with his date and wanted to continue on with the evening, only to discover that the car will…not…start. So now he has to not only figure out what’s wrong with the car, but he may also be missing out on an opportunity to develop something great. Or so it seems. One of the details I liked in this video was seeing that Craig’s date seemed sweet and very relatable – realistic even. You don’t see that a lot in most music videos; it was definitely refreshing. And let’s just say that I would have done the same thing she did at the end of the video; I knew that was going to happen by the way. It shows a lot about how beautiful of a person she is on the inside.

It is without a doubt that those true music lovers who have followed Craig David from the start of his career, knows that when he drops a new single and/or new album, they are in for something wonderful. SOS is a beautiful song with the beautiful message of a guy not being afraid to put himself out there in order to have the love he knows he deserves. There should be more guys like that, not afraid to take a chance at having their piece of happiness.

If you’re in the UK, be sure to check out his Commitment Tour that is currently happening; the last day of the tour is February 20 at The O2 Arena. Be sure to also check out the video SOS here.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

MoonChyld’s Entertainment: ICYMI – Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

India Amarteifio as Young Queen Charlotte in “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”

Writer/Producer/Creator Shonda Rhimes does it again. She added to the Bridgerton Tree with her creation, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. This is a 6-episode prequel series telling the story of a young Princess Charlotte leading up to the prominent status we know her to be as seen on Bridgerton. The Netflix Original Series presents to the viewer how she met King George III, who would become the love of her life. This backstory also shows the growing friendships which she develops with Lady Danbury & Violet Ledger, the future Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton. Lead by a talented cast with a familiar face or two that is sure to draw in some worthy viewership. It would be safe to say that with this series being added, this has become a franchise that was initially created by Chris Van Dusen based on the romantic novels by Julia Quinn.

Casting Director Kelly Valentine Hendry, who worked on Bridgerton in the same capacity as she is here, gets a platinum star with the casting of this show as well. The young actors playing The Queen & her loyal friends Brimsley, Lady Agatha Danbury & Violet, Dowgaer Viscountess Bridgerton are spot on as their present-day characters. One would imagine prior to production, they sat down with Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Hugh Sachs (Queen Charlotte’s secretary Brimsley), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) & Ruth Gemmell (Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton) respectively to get some insight on the roles they will be portraying in this addition to the Bridgerton legacy.

The way this limited series was presented reminded me of This Is Us. I say that to mean that some things that are happening in present day relates to something that happened in the past. These young actors/actresses that portray the characters that we have grown to love in Bridgerton did an excellent job as the younger versions of them. We see how the friendship of this trio of women developed & grew. As always, there are some beautifully stand out moments as well as some interesting ones, in this amazingly put together series.

The Meet-Cute

Not instantly keen about the union to King George III, Princess Charlotte tries to make a run for it on her wedding day by attempting to go over the wall of the castle grounds. This is because no one wants to tell her what her soon to be husband looks like. Her newly appointed turned lifelong confidant Brimsly is verbally discombobulated with his words. Not realizing the gentleman, she is telling her escape plan to is her betrothed. Upon looking at him, she quickly changes her mind about the situation at hand. In her defense, His Royal Highness is nice to look at.

Lady Danbury’s Husband

What can one say about Lord Herman Danbury but….Good Lawd!! Now before you get all up in arms about this, it needs to be understood that there are some people who you wouldn’t be able to look at him for 5 minutes let alone the rest of your life. There aren’t enough bags in the world for some people; Lord Danbury would be one of those people. Considering that Lady Agatha Danbury was betrothed to the Lord who it seems wanted so desperately to be accepted by high society. It wasn’t until they are invited to Princess Charlotte & King George’s wedding & Lady Danbury was selected as newly Queen Charlotte’s Lady in Waiting where he felt some form of recognition.

You have to commend the woman’s level of toleration of being with such a man. You do get a backstory of how that marriage came to be in season 3 of Bridgerton. A lot can be said about the hair & makeup department, because Cyril Nri, the actor portraying Lord Danbury, is a nice looking guy.

King George III Being Treated Like A Lab Rat

Doctor Mouro offers his services with the belief that he would be helpful to the King’s condition that will allow him to be a better serving the King. At the time, King George III did think it would be in the best interest of the situation at hand as well as his marriage to Queen Charlotte. The Doctor, it seems, was taking much pleasure in “treating” the King and had no shame in showing it. Even though the King initially chose to move forward with the horrendous treatment, it appeared to make matters worse for him. His Queen stepped up and put a stop to this upon discovering him wandering off with the belief that he was speaking to Venus. A move that would make their love for one another stronger.

Brimsley’s Loyalty & Lost Love

Their relationship may have started on a bumpy road but over time, Queen Charlotte & Brimsley became close and he in turn became a trusted confidant to her. You already see in Bridgerton how loyal Brimsley is to The Queen, We also discover in this limited series that Brimsley was in a loving relationship with Reynolds, the King’s secretary. Leaving many to wonder what became of Reynolds as he is not seen in Bridgerton.

Queen Charlotte Keeps It 100 From Day One

It’s shown in the series premier that the then Princess Charlottle was a headstrong woman who always stayed true to who she is. She has been headstrong from the word go. It can be believed that while she understands the need for this union to happen between herself & King George III, she doesn’t like the process of getting it done. In the beginning of their marriage, Charlotte did her best to be the wife/Queen George needed her to be; until she felt enough was enough. Over time, she and her husband developed a genuine love for each other. As it is seen in Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte carried the weight of ruling while keeping her husband’s condition under wraps.

Forever the Matriarch of a Strong Character

Michelle Fairley is widely known to be the matriarch of the Stark Family in HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lady Catelyn Stark. She also made a brief appearance as Hermione Granger’s mother in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. Now she is the mother of yet another King, George III. Fairley presents Princess Augusta as a mother who has been doing the same thing that mothers have done since the dawn of time; protect her son at all costs. When the moment came where Queen Charlotte put her foot down and decided she would see fit what is best for her husband, Princess Augusta, despite her objection of it all, she had to respect her daughter-in-law taking a stand for the man they both love.

The Love That Stood the Test of Time

In the beginning of their relationship, King George thought that keeping his distance from his Queen was best for her as he didn’t want her to see him deal with his mental breakdowns. While it may seem considerate, he should have allowed himself to be vulnerable & see what she would do when the moment presented itself. And it did – in episode 3. As it stands, she not only stepped up for the man she loves, she cleaned house of people that she felt didn’t have his best interest at heart, she stood by his side forever more. And while he may be dealing with his mental health, he’ll always remember that his Queen did not go over the wall. Such a beautiful moment.

It would be certain, that if you enjoyed Bridgerton up to this point, you will for sure enjoy Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Personally speaking, it helps to understand her character more. After watching these 3 seasons, you see how she has grown to be. And just like Bridgerton, this series gives a classical spin on modern music like If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys, Nobody Gets Me by SZA & I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston. In case there are some who aren’t aware of this, Queen Charlotte was a real person. One would wonder what she would think of Inda & Golda’s portrayal of her. I know many of us are over the moon pleased.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.

MoonChyld’s Entertainment – My First of Many Journeys Out To Sea

A very near and dear friend of mine noticed that I was going through a tough transition within my first year of moving from Michigan to North Carolina to make a fresh start, or start a new chapter; however one would look at it. The moment of being invited to experience my first cruise was like something out of a rom com, where the best friend chimes in and has the idea that a nice getaway would do me some good. At first, I was resistant about it, but after thinking it over and talking to another nearest and dearest, I accepted the offer. And before I knew it, the time had come for me to set sail and embark on an experience that I wish I had more sooner than later in life. But better late than never, right? So here we go…. on my first Carnival Cruise.

The amazing view from the stateroom!!

Day OneHow It All Began

After much, and I do mean much of showing the boarding pass & passport to various staff members, we finally got on the ship called Carnival Sunshine and got settled in our rooms. Stepped out on the balcony and just took it all in. Porting from Charleston, South Carolina, we were looking onto the water, the clouds and sun bouncing off the water was amazing & so serene. We then proceeded to the buffet spot called the Lido Marketplace. It kind of reminded me of these two places called The Qube & The Marketplace in Downtown Detroit, these were the go-to places for breakfast & lunch when I was working at Rocket Mortgage; but I digress. The food wasn’t too bad, my favorite was the beef & mushrooms.

The vibe in the Sunrise Restaurant was a mellow one. The service was wonderful, and the food was great!!

Later that evening, I met with my group at Sunset Restaurant for a birthday dinner & started off with one of my favorite tasty beverages, a Mojito. My appetizer was a Shrimp Cocktail, it was tender but could have used a little bit more flavor. I then took a taste of two entrees – Surf n’ Turf & Cornish Game Hen with Roasted Potatoes, both were great, and you really can’t go wrong with a Cornish Game Hen. Capped off the night a decadent dessert which is their signature dessert – Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake.

The Sunshine Rockband brought the energy, and I enjoyed the song covers while enjoying my tasty beverage – Forty Is the New Twenty!!

We walked some of that great food off as I was given a tour of the ship, checked out a few shops, the main floor of the ship and stopped at a nice place called the Alchemy Bar where I enjoyed a drink called Forty Is the New Twenty – very delish. While there, we were grooving to the cover stylings of the Sunshine Rockband – they rocked it out!!!

After their show was over, we stepped into the Nightclub where the DJ was spinning some 90’s hits leading to the music of the 2000’s. Everyone was vibing, dancing, conversing and getting their sips on. Then something interesting happened, at some point during the fun times in the Nightclub, there was a push up competition! At least that’s how I perceived it, that was hilarious!! I’m all for people enjoying themselves and letting loose, but WOW!!! That was new to me because I never saw that in the clubs I’ve gone to, and I worked in a bar for several years!!

It may have started rather bumpy but once things settled, it was on & poppin!!

Day Two – Fun Day at Sea

To wake up to a beautiful view of the blue sea and the sunshine bouncing off the water, it was as peaceful as it was when I stepped out on the balcony on the first day. There was a moment of clarity, a peaceful moment. I started my day off with what can be considered a big breakfast. So…I went to the Havana Bar and got an egg white veggie omelette with mozzarella cheese from the Omelette Station and I have to say it was one of the lightest and fluffiest that I’ve had and yes, it was delicious. I had sausage & fruit with that.

This was a great way to start my Fun Day at Sea!! A delicious brunch!!

I went to check out the Sea Day Brunch at Sunrise Restaurant where I had a Pressed Fruit Juice with Pineapple, Beets, Apples & Ginger – Delish!! Be warned, I may be saying that word a lot. As some may know, Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast, I had that with Salmon and a Mimosa. The Hollandaise was silky smooth people!! Before leaving, I had a tasty beverage called a Green Goblin (not pictured) – something for the Halloween vibe.

These games are not just for killing time on a cruise ship, these are great for just about any occasion where you can get together with family & friends!!

As a great way to kill time before the Captain’s Dinner that day, I played a game called Black Card Revoked with my friends in the Lido Marketplace, I was familiar with the game as I saw it featured in a REACT/Bullseye episode. I highly recommend that game, it was that fun. We also played Joking Hazard, if you saw some of the memes on social media with these characters, then you know this game is definitely living up to its name. I’ll say that these games are a great way to not only break the ice, but to also get to know your friends a little better. I came out better with Black Card Revoked than Joking Hazard. Ultimately, it was so much fun, and the energy was awesome.

The Captain’s Dinner was wonderful!!

At another birthday dinner which was also the evening of the Captain’s Dinner, I started with a Dirty Grey Goose Martini and sipped on a little bit of Riunite Lambrusco. The former was perfect while the latter will sneak up on you. This was another double entree dinner. I had Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with a Fish Cake and Crawfish Fettuccine. The shrimp was nicely seasoned & grilled. The fish cake was pan fried nicely as well & wasn’t at all soggy on the inside. Now…the crawfish fettuccine? To quote Emma Stone in Easy A – Yum!! The chef was quite generous with the crawfish, there was a meaty piece with every bite. Of course, I again got the Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake for dessert! Yes, it’s that good, and sinfully delicious.

After dinner, a few of us went to check out some karaoke in the ship’s pub. There were a couple of hits and maybe 1 miss from what I saw. But that’s what makes karaoke such fun, you never know what to expect when someone takes the stage, especially after a few sips of liquid courage. To my surprise, there was no Bon Jovi songs in the catalogue. Like…really?! I could have brought the house down with Living on A Prayer! I’m certain it’s available somewhere else that has a karaoke night; I’ll find it for sure.

Day Three – Bound for the Bahamas

I would imagine that pretty much anyone who has gone to the Bahamas for the first time, sees it as a different world. A vibrant & colorful world. It may seem like a small thing to some, but I had to have a drink made in a pineapple.

Yes, my Frozen Margarita was as good as it looks!!

Granted, I am fully aware that I can do this at home (and one day I will), but this hits differently in a vacation spot such as the Bahamas. My Frozen Margarita was a tasty beverage.

We walked around the city of Nassau, stopping by various shops getting freebies & haggling prices for souvenirs from local merchants. I was able to find a carved walking stick for my uncle & added a few shot glasses to my collection. And of course I managed to get a sweatshirt hoodie, can never go wrong with those! We also checked out the Atlantis hotel where there were several beautiful glass sculptures & what I felt was a King Tritan’s throne which is one of the biggest photo ops on the island. I felt like Lily Tomlin’s character Edith Ann in her huge rocking chair being in that big chair. We then rested up at a local restaurant where I got a Moscow Mule in one of their souvenir cups, it wasn’t that bad.

Later that evening, my friend took me to an amazing restaurant called Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. If you are ever on a Carnival Cruise, I highly recommend stopping by this place for a top-notch meal. We were presented with what can be perceived as the smallest hamburger slider in all food creation. As a foodie, I found it to be an adorable morsel of food. For appetizers, he started with Stuffed Mushrooms served Mushroom Tea & Parmesan Pearl & I had Iced & Smoked Fresh Oysters. The presentation of the oysters were…well see for yourself!!

On the oysters were Apple Mignonette, Butter & Mace, this gave the oysters a sweet taste, beautiful on the pallet trust me.

For our entrees, I had Broiled Lobster Tail with a Baked Potato while my friend had a Prime Cowboy Stake, both were cooked to perfection. The lobster was some of the meatiest I’ve tasted in my life! And my friend let me taste some of the steak he was enjoying, it was very tender and seasoned just right. The meal was complemented with a glass of Riesling wine.

For dessert, we were presented a Chocolate Sphere (not pictured – apologies) & and Apple Tarte Tatin; both were rich with sweetness. After walking around the ship for a bit, we hung out on the balcony & enjoyed the sound of the water & breeze of the ocean air.

Day Four – A Fun Day at Sea (Also the Last Day)

From what I can gather, on the last day of the cruise, you get into as much as you can of a lasting experience. In saying that, we did do a lot. We played a couple of trivia games – Harry Potter Trivia (14 out of 20 correct) & Scary Movie Trivia. (17 out of 20 correct), had lunch in the Lido Marketplace and played a couple of rounds of Black Card Revoked. Later in the evening before dinner, we went to a comedy show in the Liquid Lounge with comedians Derrick Eason & Jeff Shaw, it was pretty good.

Nice way to end a wonderful experience which is my first of many cruises. A double scoop of ice cream to go with my Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake!!

We proceeded to meet up for our final group dinner in the Sunrise Restaurant all while the ship was rocking a little due to coming into the nearby hurricane weather in Florida, but we made it work. I started off with a Caesar Salad (not pictured) with their delicious homemade dressing. My entree of choice was the Coffee Glazed Roast Duck with Creole Potato Wedges & Braised Greens – An Emeril Selection. My goodness, that was some tender duck. It takes some special people to make duck in such a way. Someone that takes time to make sure it’s not overcooked, that it’s just right. Complements to the chef for sure. The greens were smooth & the sweet sauce from the duck gave the potato wedges a sweet kick.

Honestly, I did think about the cheese plate for dessert as I am one for a good charcuterie board, but I succumbed to the tasty temptation of the Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake. And I was given not one, but two scoops of ice cream!! It’s the little things, right?

To close out our last night on the ship, my friend & I sat out on the balcony, talked for hours about some of our current life experiences & the strength of our friendship. It was a deep conversation for sure. Not to mention one that I am grateful to have had with one of my nearest & dearest friends.

I would say that my favorite entrainment spot on the ship was the Alchemy Club, the drinks were excellent, and the Sunshine Rockband was wonderful and super nice to talk with. The balcony to the room comes at a close second as it was a place of peace and reflection. Overall, my first experience on a cruise ship was wonderful as well as a learning one. One thing I learned for sure is to not worry about my luggage and pack enough to ensure my comfort level while I’m on the trip. Have an outfit for when the occasion calls for it. I look forward to my next cruise. And the next one. And the next one. I want to say thank you to my friend for inviting me and sharing this awesome experience.

That’s my opinion & everyone is entitled to one.
