Courtney Banks as the ever smart and determined Kyle McNaughton.
Courtney Banks is the star, writer and creator of the hit web series Re-Casting Kyle which premiered in early 2014. Set in Los Angeles, Banks is Kyle McNaughton, the casting director who is put to the task of making programming more diverse at WHT. Although can be tough as nails when it comes to her job, she has a heart and cares for those closest to her. She is a driven and determined woman who refuses to let anyone break her down – unless it’s of course her boss Mike (Craig Stepp). She is the bigger person to tread lightly when it comes to the man who doesn’t think enough to respectfully acknowledge her by name.

Corrine (Esther Mira) & Mark (Ethan Ingle) are part of Kyle’s strong team.
There are some really great moments in this show; one being the character Corrine. She is played by series of actresses – one of whom is the up & coming Esther Mira. Kyle does address it in a humorous fashion that will make the viewers laugh. Her intern Warren (Joseph Kibler) is very loyal and wants to make sure to stay on Kyle’s good side and does so by helping her out of a sticky situation or two. There is also Mark (Ethan Ingle), who was brought on to ensure diversity was enforced at the network. I sense he may have feelings for Kyle but he’s got to keep it professional; things can always change with time. And Lindsay (Shaleah Wagner), the bright eyed always upbeat associate who will back Kyle up on any decision that is good for the company as well as for her team of co-workers.

Warren (Joseph Kibler) is Kyle’s true right hand. He’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she looks fabulous.
The show does take you out of the office and we see some of Kyle’s friends like D’Jmarious (Nicholas Anthony Reid), who moves in with her while looking for work; well he tries at least. Her friend Lily (Laura Owen) is a bartender who Kyle knows a fun time will be had when those two are together.

Lily knows how to have a fun time with the bestie Kyle

Kyle was good for Scott. Does he know that yet?
Then there’s Scott (Kyle Jones), a guy she met at her friend’s club and begins to develop feelings for. A personal favorite moment is when they go on a camping trip and Kyle was on a little trip in the car after having a brownie if you follow me. The best is when it becomes a bad one with her thinking that Scott is going to kill her; which of course is not the case. When he stops the car she runs out for her life only to realize there’s no real place to run. It’s a must see moment.

Luke thought he could succeed with Kyle’s “help”. She felt otherwise.
This show has a lot or promise and from what I can tell on YouTube and social media it continuously develops a strong following. It is easy to see that this is the beginning of a talented actress and writer who is going to venture out to open doors and I for one look forward to seeing the success come to fruition.
As far as the show – each episode is about 10 minutes long but it is well worth watching. I guarantee you will enjoy it. Looking forward to Season 2 Courtney!!

This is beyond the beginning for our Kyle. And beyond the beginning for Courtney as well.
That’s my opinion and everyone is entitled to one.
