I was recently given the mission to create a card for a friend. A girl friend of his had had an operation to improve the size of her bust. He wanted to congratulate her! I needed the card to be classy, not tacky. This is what I came up with!
This card will soon be added to the Moo Woo ‘Celebration’ range.

Kerri Blades Visual Art
Posted in Kerri Blades on July 31, 2009| Leave a Comment »

Kerri Blades recently moved from Perth to Kununurra with her young family. She brought with her, her amazing talent – the ability to create earthy, heart warming visual pieces of art. I absolutely loved the poised, tranquil owl, symbol of wisdom.
The Kimberley region has also inspired many of Kerri recent pieces, in which she captures the beauty of our ranges, the earthy tones, outback travel and indigenous life.
New addition to my jewellery collection!

This piece has been created by KiaSynnoeve Jewellery Design. It captured my attention immediately. I am a lover of Pearls and Dragonflies, both as a result of many years living in Broome, WA. Masses of dragonflies filling the sky were a symbol of the commencement of the ‘DRY’, a much welcomed relief from the wet.
Kia has done a beautiful job on this bracelet, and from my experience it is extremely durable! It has been tried, tested and passed on two toddlers! She also has necklaces and bracelets with sea design charms for those who love the ocean! You can find these beautiful pieces in Moo Woo’s – Handmade Adults Gifts.

Firstly the workmanship. I am a perfectionist, especially if something is made, it has to be done well! My mother sews and everything is perfect, so the bar for me has always been high (which is why I no longer sew…). Samia’s work is PurrRFECT!
Samia also has a passion for creative minds and fantasy (visit her blog and you’ll see), and especially the creative world that children live in. Through writing Samia introduces her toys to you and brings them to life. It is beautiful, refreshing and wholesome! The love she has for her products really shines through!
Finally – Samia agreed to supply Moo Woo with her work!!!! This was very exciting for me but the biggest bonus has been the friendship that has developed and the team work that has evolved!!
I consider myself one very lucky woman!!

Working with these photographs tonight I realised I needed to share these spectacular pendants – a work of art!
Caren, from Caren’s Creations (a Moo Woo creator), has been experiementing of late and has created these unique and intrinsic dichroic glass pendants! She has beautifully captured our Kimberley colours and our iconic boab in a very small space that can be worn around our neck! They will soon appear on Moo Woo Handmade Cards and Gifts along with more of Caren’s new creations! The are very special and very unique as they can not be reproduced…I now have a collection of two and I love wearing them, the layers of colour and the light they capture never ceases to amaze me…they are just slightly addictive!!

This was my thought of the day…generosity and passion! These two words deservingly fit the woman behind Baby Gecko Cloth Nappies. Not only is she a mum of two children under 4, she is 5-6 months pregnant, a new business owner/ manager, a creator of some of her own products and…..here it goes – is now sewing nappies for a babies orphanage in Thailand!!! The world really should be run by woman cause boy some know how to juggle!!!
