It’s great that I can steal Ellisburkes puns from the GoComics message board and cut my thinking in half. But again, what’s with Doug’s (Ellis’) hair? Why does it keep changing between blond and brown? He seems to prefer blond for school and brown for games.

And everyone probably realizes the hair dye reference. At least now. But in the future, when historians are studying this strip, it may stump them. It comes from this weird occurrence at one of Rudy’s rambling press conferences:

I love when my Ellis Burkes character is in the strip. Because then all I have to do is copy one of the recent Ellisburkes puns from the GoComics comments and work the dialog around that.
