How many liberals does it take to change a light bulb?

The answer, bunches and bunches of them just doing what liberals ordinarily do.

1. One to blame Bush for the light bulb burning out and thousands of mainstream liberal reporters to repeat the mantra ad nauseam.

2. Thousands to whine while repeating, “We feel your pain”, It depends what the meaning of ˜is” is, and blaming Republicans, Halliburton, big oil, and special interests for price fixing and not making light bulbs free.

3. One to leak classified information and national defense secrets to the liberal mainstream media and thousands of liberal reporters to repeat the mantra ad nauseam.

4. Thousands of “experts” to form commissions and hold hearings to search for the root cause as to why the last light bulb went out, at taxpayers expense.

5. Thousand to endless study and debate the global warming impact of changing the light bulb and thousands of mainstream liberal reporters to report the mantra ad nauseam.

6. Two liberals, Jimmy Carter and John Kerry travel to France and the UN and get their permission to change the light bulb.

7. Two hundred and seventy or so Senators and House members to pass the income tax increase for $2000.00 per year per family to pay for the light bulb, pass legislation to create the new 15 billion dollar Department of Light Bulbs, and pass a 10 billion tax payer funded welfare program for light bulbs.

8. One to petition the Department of Light for a light bulb, fifty to establish the state production quota, hundreds of IRS and FBI agents threatening audits and arrests to force the factory unions to allow production of the bulb, and then one to finally dial an ‘800’ number to order a light bulb.

9. One liberal and twenty eight delegates representing all the social, economic, alternative lifestyles, and ethnic communities invited to the light bulb changing ceremony.

10. At least 5 liberal Supreme Court judges to confirm that they found a right to choose to terminate the life of the old bulb in the U. S. Constitution.

11. All of the liberals to cut and run without finishing the job by changing the bulb, when the radical Islamic jhiadists tell them that if they appease them and cut and run, then they wont attack them anymore.

12. Finally, one radical Islamic Imam to tell them that the Islamic Sharia Law that they are now living under, since their cut and run surrender, now in force in the new Islamic Caliphate of the USA does not allow light bulb changing.

Bobby’s ready for the big leagues

One of the things I noticed during the recent Gustav episodes was the performance of our governor Bobby Jindal. You remember during the Katrina aftermath that our then governess Miz Blank-oh (a dimmocrat) was flustered, confused and indecisive and actually broke down in tears (whether fake or real, who knows) on TV.

Contrast that with Bobby Jindal’s performance. He started out by taking steps well before the storm to insure the cooperation of the Federal government and he secured help from other states. He mobilized and pre-positioned resources to react to the storm.

When he was at a news conference, he was a ball of fire, citing facts and figures, reciting the status of various agencies and locations, and in general giving the appearance of being in control of everything at his disposal.

After the past several governors this state has seen, the energy and competence of Bobby Jindal is more than a little comforting.

Is immediately besieged by a woman who searches for five minutes for ther ATM card, then another five minutes for the gum wrapper on which she has written her PIN. After drawing out twenty bucks, she then spends another fifteen minutes re-applying her eye liner before leaving.
