I ran out of the office today and grabbed a quick lunch, then went to the nearby boat landing to enjoy it, the scenery and to listen to the radio.
I noticed that one of the Hurricane Gustave refugees is leaving for home, or more likely, for work:

The guy on the right with the three long legs is what is loosely classified as a “jack-up rig”. When your offshore platform needs work, you call one of these guys out, he putts on out into the Gulf next to your ailing platform, drops those three long legs into the bottom, then “jacks” himself up alongside so that work crews can provide services.
